Who is actually doing the 200mg/day proviron cycle?

You’ll have to look him up on youtube. It’s too long for me to write it here. It’s similar to what I’ve done and similar to lots of elenents of what people did on the success story thread.

Just a thought but what about this method of using proviron:

  • Take finasteride
  • Quit
  • Use proviron gradually to raise DHT every day up till the return of the DHT flood and then down back to normal after

Then it’d be like a way of tapering off to get the receptors used to the DHT without the flood all at once. How come nobody has thought of this?

Nothing’s a catch all fix with this drug though.

Don’t see why you’re doing PCT. Just let HPTA do it’s thing. Why jerk your system around unnecessarily?

They did. And they tried.

If there was a single drug cure we would have found it by now.

I have been thinking about this theory seriously. But taking fin again is unpredictable.

Because I was also on TRT during the run. In a perfect world I could afford to be laid up for a couple of months while my HPTA recovered naturally, but I need to be able to function. Being shut-down with PFS isn’t just a matter of feeling a little wimpy, it really disables me. I just couldn’t risk that. With that said, I seem to be feeling better than I ever did before on SERMS.

I am sorry to step in, but what are these exciting things going on that you mean?

What I’m referring to is that the most comprehensive study on PFS and it’s pathogenesis/mechanism is being released in a matter of weeks. As well as the continued research by Melcangi. Also, there is another study that I’ve previously posted in a thread on further examining epigenetic impacts of finasteride treatment.

Was planning an update a little later on, not much else to say though tbh. In general terms it has gotten more bearable in the closing week or two… I’m now 2 days away from completion and then begins 2 months of waiting ofc.

Needless to say though if anything AMAZING happens or anything HORRIBLE happens I’ll update right away, aside from that assume “nothing much” is what’s going on.

However I am wishing myself luck as you might imagine and hoping something comes of it.

Nothing groundbreaking here either. Just the same modest improvements in everything except libido, muscle mass, and BO. Gotta get off the Clomid and assess again from there.

@Renegade @jinstewart @Cooper So only you are trying proviron protocol? Do you take full 200mg/day or lower dose? What is your status now (sides, number of cycles, days on proviron)? What was your hormone levels after fin?

Which Melcangi study is ongoing and which other study you are talking about?

IDK how many others tried it; I tapered up the dose 50-150mg over 6 weeks, then did 200mg for another 2 weeks; my current status is that I’ve improved in some areas (new baseline); hormones N/A. This was my first cycle, and I plan on doing more cycles in the future - they may be shorter and at the lower dose.

Nice work. Which sides improved?

So far: energy (25%), digestion (50%), mental clarity (25%), oily skin (75%), body temp (50%) [conservative estimates]. What I would really like to have is lasting improvements in libido, body odor, and body composition (muscle mass).
