Yes, I was thinking of taking Sodium Butyrate supplements, at 1000 mg a day, but I found out that the ghee I’m eating everyday provides me with 3000+ mg of Butyric acid a day and at the same time, along with the Medium Chain Triglycerides, turn into B-hydroxybutyrate.
However, saturated fat reduces BDNF.
I increased my Chia seed intake to 20 gr a day. They are around 50% fiber, 25% protein and 25% fat, mostly omega 3. Almost no carbs.
Omega 3 increases BDNF and fibers turn in part into Butyrate due to gut bacterial activity.
I’m still taking Lactate and Pyruvate supplements, attached to a calcium backbone, in the hope of these two being beneficial. If they’re not, well , at leats I get some calcium.
Do you know anything about Lactate and Pyruvate regarding epigenetic? I’m asking because I don’t know anything myself aside from their role in protecting the Orexin receptors from being clogged with glucose.
I took them in the hope that a better Orexin regulation would mean better sleep. Apparently my insomnia is not linked to Orexin deregulation although I can’t know for sure.
