Success Stories Compilation

I fasted for more than 2 years every week, different fasting method, normal diet but healthy as possible, but I also been eating lately unhealthy meals including sugar and gluten…
Good luck
I won’t be here checking the forurm for long, I going to move forward with my life, and just want to support those that are desperate.
What I did is already posted, I do not have any particular protocol, focus your self in a protocol that suit for your life regimen.

Where did you find that butyrate has Demethylating properties? And is this global demethylation or just on certain genes?

I posted many researches on Butyrate, BHB and gene methylation and de-methylation on Sept 05 on this thread. Just scroll up.

As Moonchild says, there’s plenty more. Just google “Butyrate, beta-hydroxybutyrate and gene methylation and de-methylation” and you’ll find more.

its just odd cause I’m a severe undermethylator so taking something to decrease my methylation further seems counterintuitive

How do you know you’re an under methylator ? if you had epigenetic changes (and got afflicted by pfs) than there should be plenty of methyl attached to your DNA wouldn’t it ?

I see specialists in Chicago who treat Psychiactric (I have schizoaffective disorder) issues using methylation and pyroloria if there is any. The simplist way to figure out if you’re an over/under methylation is a histamine test. High histamine means you’re an undermethylatir and vice versa. They later came out with an exact test and that too found I am a severe undermethylator. I take methyl donor vitamins to increase my methylation although to be honest I’m not sure it’s made me better or not in just Psychiactric issues. I took a sodium butyrate pill today and I felt pretty calm although that could have been placebo

I don’t know what to say. Gene methylation is what causes epigenetic diseases. On the other hand, your doctor is prescribing methyl to you. Who am I to contradict your doctor’s diagnosis !

I can’t be of any help as I don’t dare advise you against your doctor’s opinion.

I guess you can keep trying Butyrate and see what happens.

I could be wrong but I think according to this, butyrate acts as an epigenetic modulator not necessarily a demethylator

https://www.foundationalmedicinereview.com/blog/need-know-butyrate-supplement-side-effects/

Is there someone who has improvement by methylation supplement?
What do you suggest?

i take methyl donors and they have not improved PFS but i wasn’t expecting them to

Another History of recovery

I would like share this sentence of the author:

“I’ve always said I wouldn’t forget this forum upon recovery. I’ve always felt certain people have did that and as a result there are less recovery stories than there should be (and more bad stories of desperate people needing help). This creates a disproportionately grim picture”

Thanks for sharing the story. We need more of that.

At this point, I believe fasting heals the body and Butyrate and BHB helps the DNA to adapt its epigenetic changes to the healing that occurs while fasting.

But It’s all theory. Nonetheless, fasting is part of many success stories. Moonchild said he did 2 years of fasting and I believe he took Butyrate and BHB for a shorter time. He said Butyrate BHB is what he think helped finish his recovery. In my opinion, fasting did the hard work. We would have to ask him for more details about fasting time and butyrate BHB supplementing time, I did, got no answer and that’s fine. We’re all free to post what we want.

We have few options. I believe in doing what looks safe and what looks like it helped others.

Do you know what do I think? I think also that there are some people who claimed for recovery, and after some time they have worsened again and said nothing just to keep encouraging people. Here there are many peoole in very bad condition so every hope is welcomed, i am sure they think so.
Of course this is something that nobody wants to hear but you should also consider this possibility.

Regards.

All success stories posted by me have at least 2-3 months of recovery. Although it’s possible they got worst later, if they felt recovered for 2-3 months it’s also possible they recovered again.

Posting that those stories might not be true and that in reality people may have stayed sick defeats the purpose of giving hope, which is why I started this thread. I also posted it to figure out the common elements in those stories: I think it’s clear: diet (some do zero carbs), exercise (cardio and weight lifting), fasting and being patient is very common to all stories.

Please don’t break people’s hope. In the end, we all know we’re going to die someday and nobody is saved. But what counts is being able to have some healthy, productive, pleasant time on this planet before we go. The people in the success stories achieved that even though we know it’s not for a thousand year.

I watched some worsened by methylation supplement like vit B12.
I regarded the key to recover as methylation, but it may be wrong…
wonder what happens to bodies.

I am not talking about you, since you are very active. But there are many success stories where the OP has just made one or two posts and then he disapears forever. I do think that many of them have been worsener their condition but they are not coming back to report.
I do think that this is a mistake somehow. I do think that we have to be serious and realistics. If people think that just rest and time will be enough, they will spend years instead to be tryung different approaches, that can effectively bring better treatments for every people here.
Hope is important, of course, but thruth is even more. We are not childs any more.

I understand what you mean.

But I’ve read many people saying they would not come back to this site after they recovered. It brings back bad memories. You also have to consider many recovered people will not want to look back.

Personally, I could leave the forum as I have recovered enough but I don’t intent to do so. I believe we are slowly revealing that what we all have is an epigenetic deregulation. I believe it can be cured and that we are slowly finding the way. I will stick around and help people who wants to hear me as we are putting together the pieces of the puzzle.

I was just exchanging with another user on this forum. He’s from Russia and a doctor specialist in epigenetic diseases told him to eat only meat and it will slowly cure him. I’m not saying this is true, but that’s basically what I’ve been doing for 15 months. And now that I’m fasting, I’m getting even better results.

So I’ll stick around for as long as they’ll have me.

i’ve been taking methyl donors including b12 for almost 3 years and it hasn’t made me worse but hasn’t made me better either. talk to a doctor if you’re considering taking methyl donors though. i had specialists diagnose me as an undermethylator and that may be why they haven’t worsened my condition. apparently it may cause harm to some members on here so be careful with them
