Has ejercicio regularmente
Mantente fuera de estres y mucha paciencia.

Thank you Moonchild, so you actually don’t need to in the normal or upper range to feel normal. I always thought that was necessary.

How are your estradiol levels?

Thank you.

But I would be interested to hear more about your fasts. How often did you fast? Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly?

How long have your fasts been?

Thank you!

magnesium BHB have the same effect on me as sodium butyrate. Makes me tired, sleepy and a bit depressed. I guess will have to load it just before bed, otherwise it’s very hard to carry these sides throughout the day.

Please let us know the result. Depression is a sign of low serotonin, which could result in trouble sleeping. If it does so, you could take the magnesium Butyrate with L-Tryptophan, 1000 mg, 20 minutes before dinner.
around 10% of Trytophan changes into serotonin depending on your need. Alternatively, you could eat chicken or turkey, it’s got plenty of Tryptophan.

Of course those were considered

My total T was middle of the road, however, my free T was TERRIBLE. It was literally HALF the bottom end of the “normal” range. I don’t remember the values offhand, but if the normal range was 8-20 for example, mine was a 4. Normal SHBG is something like 20-60, mine was 155. My Estradiol was also very low… so low in fact that I found quite a few stories of body builders who took too many estrogen blockers (aromatase inhibitors) and killed their E2 levels… and they were still the same or higher than me. Low E2 can also cause all sort of sexual issues on its own. Low E2 and low free T at the same time is just asking for trouble in that department.

Your lab tests sound very different than mine, for better or worse I suppose… I hope you’re doing OK. I haven’t visited your thread in months but I hope you’re still seeing improvements.

Thanks for the concern.

Yes, I’m doing good. I’m fasting frequently (every week) and I’m still on my diet. My last annoying symptom is still insomnia but it seems to get better, and fasting (without any supplements) puts me in a good mood, with the sense of humor I once had.

Looks like your blood tests really did show abnormalities. Some people on this forum are taking steps, made to measure to their blood tests, to rectify the things out of range.

I wish you good recovery.

I am sorry guys, my mistake, let me clear something, I took calcium magnesium butyrate in my fisrt bottle, but by mistake I though that my secound bottle of butyrate was the same, but it wasn’t, it was sodium butyrate.

Well the main point here is since a while ago I been totally recovered, not setback at all, feeling totally recovered in all the means, mentally, and all sexual side effects are gone, libido is back, penis sensitivity is back also, very happy feeling…

I can’t be sure if in reality was the BHB and Butyrate combination or it just gave me the final push.
The point is that if I was able to recover I believe that you also can…

You can look in my all post what I been doing before and take your own conclusions.

I just want to add here that I didn’t posted before, I was taking BHB powder an 1 TPS( 5ml ) mixed in 62 FLoz of water and I added ascorbic acid ( Vitamin C powder ) 2000 mg.

Explaining powder serving size:
1/4 TPS ( (1.25 ml ) =1000 mg of vitamin C

Butyrate 2 pill before bedtime Bodybio brand ( It could be calcium magnesium butyrate or sodium butyrate ) I don’t think that make any different.

About feeling tired after taking it ( I recall that is true, I feel really tired and fatigued just soon after taking it but the fatigue desapear later, it seem like a body reaction or adjusting to it ). keep taking it even if you feel fatigued.

General Tips
1-Stay away for stressful situations
2-Regular exercise ( 2 time per week, just running for 12 -15 minutes) - (I been a while that I am not exercise at all)
3- Regularly practice fasting - ( I am not doing fasting anymore and I had been a while since my last fasting)
4- Eat healthy as possible ( I have to admit that I also violated this rule while ago adding sugar to my diet once every other day ) but It is a not a good practice eat unhealthy.
5- Zero Alcohol and coffee ( I never violate this rule until now )
6-BHB, Butyrate and vitamine C combination ( Still taking it ) I think that even I am feeling totally recovered I am going to take this combination of supplement for long term due the health benefice for the brain and demethylating properties…

@ Tomas, Are you refer it to me ?
If you are talking to me, I just going to tell you something, I do not have time in my life to argue about this PFS, and I just came back to give some tips to those that are desperate for help because I know the feeling.

I have an opinion and i express it.

@Tomas please stop - Moonchild has been sharing some great insights and research articles for some time now. And correct me if I’m wrong @MOONCHILD, but this recovery has lasted much longer than a week correct?

Couple questions @MOONCHILD :

  • Are you taking the BHB, Butyrate, and Vit C concoction once or twice a day?
  • Were you fasting a lot at the start? What did these fasts look like and how long we’re they and how often?
  • Did you go on a Keto or Carnvinore diet at any point? Where you also taking the supplements during this time as well?

I been feeling good for a while, I been like that for a couple months feeling super great.
I fasted for 2 years or more, and I feel that it help me tremendously.
No I never been in a keto diet, just normal diet and fasting, but I stopped fasting a few months ago, I think that I top fasting around five months ago.
BHB one a day, Butyrate sometimes one a day ( two pills before bedtime) sometime twice a day ( two pills morning two pill before bedtime)

Hi Moonchild.

So first of all, congratulation for your recovery ! You have achieve what we all wish for.

Your story deserve its place in the success story section.

After reading all your posts, I will repeat below what you did to recover. If I forget something, please let me know.
I will also compare your story with the other stories as the reason for this Success Stories Compilation thread is to find what is common to all those stories that made people recover.

Also, if you don’t mind, I need to ask you a few question:

-Altogether, how long from the moment you crash until today.
-What kind of fast did you do? (water fasting 24 hours, 48 hours or more, or intermittent fasting) and how often (every week, every month etc…)
-How long you took BHB, Butyrate and vitamin C ?

You don’t need to answer, but it would help a lot to have more details.

Thank you for sharing with us. This is important as it may help others feel better and recover.

The common elements I see in this Success Story when compared to the others is exercise, (cardio vascular exercise), fasting, eating healthy, and time (although the total time is not clear, it’s certainly over 2 years and a half).

Other recommendations, avoid unnecessary medications, also antidepressant, in emergency case for antidepressant use Bupropion for no more than 12 weeks, for anxiety use L-theanine and GABA supplements.
That is all.
If you want to live a life again I truly recommend to focus in your personal recovery, pray and forget about the endless study.

This is why did I chose butyrate and BHB :

*Sodium Butyrate (Sodium butyrate is a compound with formula Na It is the sodium salt of butyric acid)

Sodium Butyrate, a Histone Deacetylase Inhibitor, Reverses Behavioral and Mitochondrial Alterations in Animal Models of Depression Induced by Early- or Late-life Stress.

https://www.researchgate.net/publication/256331479_Effects_of_sodium_butyrate_in_animal_models_of_mania_and_depression_Implications_as_a_new_mood_stabilizer

BHB ( Exogenous ketones )

BHB+ Butyric Acid

Exogenous ketones and ketone bodies can serve as tremendous health-promoting agents, but as will be further demonstrated, the combination of BHB with its molecularly analogous short chain fatty acid, butyric acid (BA), may serve as a more appropriate technology for most users.

There is countless research about BHB and butyrate benefices for the brain that I didn’t posted here and I will not post it here, do the research by yourself…

For now on I will continue taking BHB and Butyrate as a part of my life style, and maybe sometimes combine with fasting.

Hi Moonchild,

congratulations for your success after a long recovery time!
What diet have you been following for the past 2 years?
Mainly vegetables and meat?

How many times did you have been fasting?

I’m following for a while a paleo diet together with intermittent fasting.
Unfortunately I’ve eaten too much cheat meals due to social activities with friends :frowning:
