I agree. That’s what I’m doing and pfs is not a major annoyance in my life.

Water fasting for 24-36 hours once a week or every 10 days is the best compromise for me.

I also found that taking inulin as a supplement (or to sweeten something, although it’s not very sweet) increases Butyrate production by guts bacteria. In fact, we can’t digest inulin and it only feed our guts bacteria, much of which goes into producing Butyrate.

It’s worth mentioning that we can take up to 10-15 gr a day of inulin, which produces lots of butyrate.

I’m going to play it all together. Eat ghee (best source of Butyrate), take sodium Butyrate and inulin, take BHB salts and be ketogenic which produces BHB.

Let’s see what happens.

5-Be patient.

6-Spend time focusing on recovery and stop being a seating duck waiting for a research that will not solve your problem.

7- Stop taking several kind of supplements specialty with a very complicated protocol, It will not help at all, it only are going to put stress in your mind and hole in your pocket.

8- If stressed take L-THEANINE and GABA, it help with the sleep also, avoid to take sleeping pills or melatonin.

I am going to to live my life without thinking about this nightmare that I been through, so I will not be constantly visiting the forum.

Good luck :+1:

So can you sum up what have you been taking and what you think helped you ? Suddenly you got cured and you basically ignore requests to write about you recovery? And again you written a post with generalised recommendations which mean nothing. We want your constructive post about recovery. Or I am afraid you will be another member who mysteriously recovered and disappeared forever. Sorry if a bit agressive tone.

I think he laid his protocol out already very precisely… What is not clear for you?

Ozeph, how much sodium butyrate do you take daily?

I don’t yet. I take ghee which gives me around 2 gr of Butyrate, I just ordered inulin which should give me 3-4 times that amount but I’m ketogenic, which means I must transform at least 100 gr of fat into BHB everyday.

There’s evidence that Butyrate might actually be using the Beta-HydroxyButyrate pathways in the body. It would make sense because BHB is part of our main energy system whereas Butyrate is not always available.

That follows the theory that Butyrate and BHB are actually reversing the damage done by the disease. It’s not proven to be a fact. Nonetheless, @MOONCHILD believes into this approach and so do I.
(Lol. That’s a politically correct disclaimer by the way  )

Sodium butyrate making me extremely tired and sleepy, as well as killing erection and libido. I tried this before. Maybe I will have a better response with BHB , but i think its metabolized from butyrate ?

Bought BHB from peaksupps

I started taking this:

It has definitely makes me tired. I was hoping that might be a good sign of good bacteria fighting bad bacteria or something?

what Is tributyrin?

Guys let me tell something else, I am taking Calsium and magnesium Butyrate (BodyBio brand ) 2 pills in the morning and 2 before bedtime.
I am not taking sodium Butyrate.
Also 10 - 12 grams of BHB ( bulk supplements brand, because is the only pure BHB on the market ) with vitamin c powder ( ascorbic acid, it make the water taste good ).

Is there a difference between the different types of butyrate?

Butyrate in an ion has to be attached to a back bone. Butyric acid, for example, is the simplest one. That’s what Ghee contains.

They often use minerals to attach the butyrate, making it a butyrate salt. The common ones are sodium, calcium, magnesium and potassium.

Most of us (on this planet) are lacking in magnesium and potassium. If you eat dairies, you might be lacking calcium as well. Most of us have too much calcium.

Therefore, it makes sense to take a butyrate salt that has a mineral you need attached to it rather than a mineral you have too much of. My first choice would be magnesium.

Ah ok I already take a calcium & magnesium supplement so sodium would probably be best for me. Especially because I’m trying keto and not getting as much sodium in compared to the normal western diet
