thanks for the update joetz, very interesting, a random erection that lasts for an hour is for sure a damn good thing man, good luck and i hope you continue to feel better
May I ask why you decided to incorporate other treatment methods and not just see if you could recover naturally, which is what joetz is doing? If you do see improvements, it’s going to be hard to tell which of your treatments is the one that’s working, and I wonder if all the new stuff you’re putting into your body could somehow negate the effect of the stem cells. The latter isn’t based on anything scientific, just me thinking out loud.
Thanks for the update, joetz. Don’t know if you’re going to check back in on this thread at all anytime soon, but how are the symptoms that you mentioned were still affecting you at the four-month mark? Emotional blunting and libido were the two I recall. Any improvement in those?
In any case, glad you’re continuing to improve and hope you continue to do so.
Also, Broken_Pecker – it’s been, I believe, two and half months or so since you had the procedure. How are you feeling? Any changes?
I have a whole host of issues I need resolved to be back to normal but if this procedure improves memory then as soon as I can afford it, I will most assuredly be getting it. Not having a reliable memory is not only inconvenient…it can actually be extremely unsafe.
Got a lot going on in my life currently. Under so much stress I cant tell if there are any improvements. Of course everything that is happening now is because of pfs.
Isn’t your significantly improved appetite an improvement? And the mood swings you have experienced are a sign of changes taking place in your body. To say you’ve noticed nothing is a bit disingenuous IMO
I learned a lot of new things at my last consultation
What I didn’t know is that the “extra” stem cells were injected in my scalp because I had already hit the limit of what is deemed a safe amount of stem cells to take intravenously. The clinic is now banking those extra cells and reinjecting them later so a second procedure will be an improvement over the last treatment. But even taking that into account I’m not sure ill do another one
I’m so damn close to being cured I can taste it. My sex drive is right there, kind of how you are looking for the right word and its just at the tip of your tongue. Today I had the same buzzed hyperbrain racing thoughts and fast mental state I had 24 hours after the procedure. I was talking to my coworker today and was getting impatient because he wasn’t talking fast enough. Like chess players who anticipate the next move in a game I was already 2-3 sentences ahead of him before he spoke. I think the stem cells are at their peak in the multiplication process or very close to the peak. So if today is a preview of what’s coming in the next month or two I don’t need a second procedure.
Something else I learned at my last visit is the cells don’t all die off in a mass suicide at month six. They stay at a high level and stay in your system and the doc told me I may still feel the effect in march or maybe even later. So I’m going to continue to sit back and enjoy my gains and be thankful for the progress I have made which has been pretty stellar. No more do I have this remote control “I’m watching my life in a movie” feeling and no more do I feel like a prisoner trapped in his own mind.
Joetz, since you had serious PFS and now claim to be cured. Can you please participate in the study in the US. That way we can see if the stem cells have turned on all the proper gene expression that was shut down by PFS. It will be an invaluable asset to the study IMO.
to joetz, or anyone else who feels that they’ve recovered… would you have any interest in retesting your hormonal profile? Presumably, if you’ve recovered, your 5AR2s should have returned to their normal function-ability and your hormone levels would resemble your pre-fin states.
Also, joetz, K, and BP, thanks for posting updates. I know I certainly have been checking in on this thread regularly to see if you’ve posted any updates, positive or negative.
Just to be clear, is the doctor saying that your improvements should be permanent? I realize you said all the cells don’t just die off after six months, but at a certain point – whether it be months or years down the line – will the cells indeed die, thus forcing you to have the treatment again if you want to stay healthy? Or, as I said, are the gains you experience within the six or seven months post-treatment supposed to remain on a permanent basis?
Seems a reasonable request but no one seems willing to volunteer. This thread has gotten a fair amount of traffic and three or more of you have had this treatemnt. Since Joetz feels like he’s signifcantly recovered, granted he admits not cured, I’d be interested in seeing his values. Those of you considering it still would at least have some shred of data to go on.
