Short-term Recovery with Choline, Inositol, Cod liver oil, Phenibut

I will take it for my sexual symptoms. I don’t have mental side effects… shit… am i just wasted my money…?

I dont want to risk further my dopamine balance. Many people experienced sexual benefits from it. What should i do now.

@Cooper

I also took it for this exact same purpose a while ago. Are you taking Mucuna (L-Dopa)? If yes, then I’d say Taurine would make more sense since it helps breakdown extra Dopamine to restore balance.

Having said that, taking it on it’s own could turn you into a Zombie especially with high doses and/or extended use. It’s happened to me and I had to drop it altogether to restore sexuality and emotion. It’s shelved now just like the many other supplements that I purchased.

I’m not saying this to dissuade you, your reaction to it could be different. Try lower doses and go from there.

Thanks! No i stay away from L-Dopa. Have you seen any benefits? Also what you mean by zombie? I want to increase my semen volume and libido/erections.

My opinion on this is L-dopa is strong. Tyrosine and phenylenanine. Try it.

I did experience with Mucuna 15% L-Dopa. I was taking about 800mg, so ~100mg L-Dopa. It gave me a feeling of motivation and improved libido.

It can be very stimulating and sometimes gave me headaches and feeling of being overly stimulated. I think both Phenylalanine and Tyrosine are safer and more sustainable long term. They are precursors to L-Dopa.

My primary issue is T:E2 ratio, however.

Strange thing is, i can get hard just by thinking or simple photos of girls on instagram. Yet, i have very low semen volume, morning wood loss and number orgasms. But thats all. At first, at my first “crash” my only problem was semen, after some years i start to notice my orgasms went duller too. Sometimes i experience weaker erections but im not extreme horny 16 year old kid anymore, at least im 20. So… its really weird… i mean if my receptors damaged, why i have good libido? Wtf?!

Chill out bro! you’re being paranoid. Don’t feed off your fear. It’ll only make matter worse.

I wouldn’t say your receptors are damaged! The body downregulates and upregulates AR receptors all the time. If you still have a decent libido and can get it up through mere imagination then that’s a truly great starting point! It means your Testosterone, Estrogen, Dopamine and sexual function are all in good shape and working properly. Morning wood shouldn’t be a concern. I’ve it on and off and it’s not my biggest problem. High libido, sexuality and motivation are.

Now about your semen, do you have any tests done? If no, then stop judging your semen based only on your personal observations and get some real tests done. This includes LH, FSH semen count, volume, motility, etc.

You’re going to be just fine.

My semen volume turned out normal 4 years ago on test at urology. It is low but clinically acceptable. The problem is, i remember how my ejaculations are back then. They were more thick and longer.

I took only 4 pills and my semen volume lessened, my symptoms are very mild. But still, im concerned. If my estrogen, T and receptors working just fine, why i experience low semen volume for 4 years? And i don’t get mentally hyped and feel good at orgasms too. I don’t know what to do. My blood results turned out average too. (Except high DHEA?)

How do you handle your ratio?

I suppose you mean T:E ratio. What you really need is to maintain an optimal ratio of Normal-High T (i.e . >600) vs. Normal E2 (i.e. range 22-35 pg/mL).

Securing normal-high T will ensure healthy brain Dopamine level needed for libido, motivation, attention & reward pleasures whereas normal E2 ensures healthy Serotonin levels for sense of well-being & feeling of serenity & content without sense of doom that many complain of here.

Technically, DE & 5-HT are the only two things that matter (i.e. you enjoy).

That said, having E2 within optimal range usually means that DHT is also well balanced since these two coexist in harmony. I’m under the impression that most of us (PFSers) have screwed up T:E2 ratio with majority having Low T vs High E2 since finsteride works by blocking DHT in favor of E2. Obviously there’re other things that finesteride f**ks up too.

Bloodwork’s needed to confirm your current position and in which direction you should go.

Sorry but i have read about many ussers with high E2 lowering it to low levels within range by taking blockers and they do not improve their symptons. So…i am very sceptical when i hear about high E2.

Good observation. However, I’d love to see these same users post their bloodwork results, if any, rather than sharing only their anecdotal evidence.

Besides, I was talking about T:E2 ratio and not just E2 being in a good range. After all, having low T is also a major problem regardless of E2 value. Obviously, there are other things to also consider including Thyroid, Adrenals, Gut function, etc. I recall when I first had a post finesteride crash I went on TRT (250mg every 2 weeks) out of desperation while also dialing in my E2. Those were probably the best days of my entire life but I didn’t want to commit to TRT indefinitely so I quit and I crashed even harder.

Yes. The one supplement I take is choline + inositol. I think dopamine plays a great role. Choline, Inositol, Betaine and Vit-A somehow restored my sensitivity and libido, but it only works like every 2-3 weeks. Mucana puriens which contains l-dopa kind of added on top of that so I had a ridiculious high amount of libido.

Very interesting. What kind of improvements do you get?

What supplement did turn you into a zombie? Taurine?

Energy

Yes. It’s literally turned me into a robot after supplementing it for a month or so.

btw how did you improve sexual side effects?

After my first tribulus cycle!
I’m doing good. Just started my second cycle today.

NICE! Keep going!

Keep us updated too.

I know I’m going about this wrong but I have close to 30 supplements including arginine, creatine, l-dopa, amino acids, beet root, Tribulus plus I’m using a testosterone patch. Thought I was starting to do better but was only a couple of days. Does anyone have a proven path to restored libido? I know every person’s body is different but am desperate. Even used the Alzheimer’s drug, which had side effects of increased libido but was very temporary. Please help!

Are you sure you are using the right Tribulus? Vemo or MediHerb?
