Rb26dett Story with 5-HTP

the fact that tribulus made you worse is pretty significant. Lots of guys arent aware of this but tribulus doesn’t just work androgenically, it also increases things like serotonin too. The fact that tribulus made you worse suggests that your problem definitely involves too much serotonin, which of course is probably how your problem began with due to the 5HTP. This is a good thing though, since it gives us a pretty clear idea of how to approach your problem.

did the cyproheptadine not work? thats a serotonin receptor antagonist…

Cyproeptadine made me crash for about a week

How long you have been sick? And can you get any kind of decent sleep?
Have you considered nucletides and maybe also phospholipids?

When you used the tribulus did you notice better libido and mood? Or did it nothing at all? It only make you crashed?

Maybe, i saw a little improvment, first week.

What should I do?

sorry to hear that. Well my suggestion to you is to look into something that inhibits serotonin biosynthesis (as opposed to a serotonin receptor antagonist like cyproheptadine). My reasoning behind this is really simple; if things that raise your serotonin levels like 5-HTP and tribulus make your condition worse then maybe things that lower your serotonin levels (lower the serotonin levels themselves, and not simply act as antagonists to the serotonin receptors) might be helpful to your condition.

Anyways, the particular thing that I had in mind is quinine. Quinine is able to directly inhibit the biosynthesis of serotonin which is the exact opposite effect of 5-HTP and tribulus. Non-pharmaceutical concentrations of quinine can be obtained without a prescription by using cinchona bark which can be bought on amazon. Im not telling you that this can cure your condition, I have no idea whether it can or not, but I do think its something that you might want to look into

I curse anyone who hasn’t blocked tribulus posts. It ruined my life more than antidepressants did. If you knew that tribulus is dangerous, why didn’t you put a warning? My life will be on your consciences. In addition to the survey, a post with all the dangerous substances to be avoided with the syndrome should also be placed on the front page. It’s not fair to let people get it wrong.

You need to work harder in order to battle pssd

@RIPJuiceWrld, and who might you be to make such an assertion about PSSD?

Please post a member story and describe your experience with Lupron, or whatever GnRHa left you with persistent side effects.

How are you doing?

I’m in the hell. My cognitive abilities are worsening day by day.
I’m loosing lot of hair.
I have problems with my coordination. I can’t coordinate my arms and my tongue.

I too have coordination problems but mainly with my right hand. My thumb will tighten up then start twitching…it’s the strangest thing. It seems very Parkinson’s disease like. Hang in there brother.

Hello Rb26dett,

I am sorry this is happening to you. Keep fighting please!

I have taken 2 pills of finasteride and I had for almost 3 years the genital issues, and the muscular/joints issues. I am not cured yet but i feel really better and what really makes a difference for me is : no sports, no masturbation/look at porn, a multivitamin(from nutri&co), a diet where I eat a raw garlic clove cut in small pieces in the morning (very important), vegetables/green lunch with onions, nuts…, and in the evening a normal meal. No drugs, alcohol etc.

I dont take anything else and so far i think my body is readapting itself. I also had these brain fog, these difficulty to remember things etc, I know it is hard to follow habits and feel crappy but please think about these options, they are not invasive and could help you get better.

Thanks for your reportage!
I tried lot of diets and supplements, nothing helped me.

No problem
Did you try to just rely on the diet and not on supplements?
Because from what I’ve read the supplements you have tried can be quite powerful/harmful, tribulus use seems to be controversial, and from experience zinc in a high dose can indeed increase hair loss… maybe they are throwing away the benefits of the diet.

Sorry to hear that , are you sure you crashed on tribulus and not another substance ? which brand of tribulus did you use ?

Total T 5,93ng/ml… Range 249-836
. Free T 45,00pg/ml… Range 40-200

Inst free T extremely low? How was you SHBG and albumin? Is almost rock bottom. I dont think anyone would feel ideal on 5ng/dl for free T. My lab range for free T was up to 40 ng/dl, is quiet variable. You case may be just hypoandrogenism.
.
The psychiatrist said that my depression is reactive, i.e. it depended on my condition (PFS / PSSD), therefore it would be wrong to adopt drug therapy.

he recognized pssd lol

After a month of low dose TRT gel, I can say I didn’t see any great improvement.

If you go trt route, you go all in or nothing. Half assing is useless.you are making a fool of yourself whit this cautious approach.
You have to done a perfect trial on T before saying" I didn’t not work!"

I’m still wondering how tribulus fucked up my mind.
I was still able to play videogames and watch TV before tribulus.
I can’t work.
I can’t describe how terribile are my neurological symptoms.
Tribulus is a terrible “supplement”, like saw palmetto, but with a different mechanism.
I think that tribulus made more damages than SSRI, in my experience.
