Prostatitis treatment as a novel insight into Finasteride related problems

I have purchased digestive enzymes that are rated pretty highly by people, i figured that with the dodgy stools it would be a good call. It has some ingredients to aid the liver.

Anxiety definitely brings out these nasty non sexual sides. I know i will get criticized for this but considering i haven’t slept properly for so long, it’s time for me to work with doctors and just try sleep aids maybe even anti depressants.

UK, I find it’s best to go to the doctors when you’re at your lowest point.

It will be difficult/impossible for them to shoo you away or dismiss your condition as innocuous/temporary.

So please see a doc, any doc.

any more updates from chaps who visited Kos or Solon?

Uk get yourself an alpha blocker. Preferably a1 over a2 but both would be best.

Flomax will help with prostate but not so much pelvic floor and penis…

Prazosin in theory would be the best. It will likely return penile function better than pde5i’s do

any updates?

no updates but a simple reminder: please stay off this thread.

anyone remember all the nicknames of the kos people?

There you go guys moonmans solved it, with a drug used to treat high blood pressure …omg, seriously what next moonman?

Reallty it is funny. People did not learn theri lesson.They want to play more with their bodies.

Just sharing with you all a reply I got from Georgiadis to my question asking how can prostatitis cause muscle wasting yet have only a slight effect on erections (as is my case);

''The symptoms you mention, muscle wasting, brain fog, etc. appear in the majority of cases of chronic prostatitis which has developed more than 3-4 years and they are a result of the toxic effect of the inflammation in the prosate either directly (because of the inflammation itself) or indirectly (through lessening of DHT or through weakening of the immunological system).

Concerning the erectile function, it is not necessary that it will be affected from the chronic prostatitis or not.
Usually, only a 40% of the cases of chronic prostatitis suffer from erectile dysfunction problems.

However, about 80% of the patients with chronic prostatitis which exceeds 7 - 8 years suffer from a kind of sexual dysfunction (erectile dysf. or premature ejaculation).

To conclude, we cannot explain 100% of what is exactly going on with every kind of symptom, but from what I have seen from my
20 year experience on this matter, all my chronic prostatitis patients who have healed after my therapy feel much more energetic and rejuvenated.

If you want to give to give it a try, I would suggest you visit me in Greece, but be ready to stay for at least 30 days of every day therapy for the basic therapy. After the basic therapy and depending on how your body reacts, we see if further treatments necessary and when your next visit will be in order to radically cure the prostate’’.

  • Each person can draw their own conclusions, I myself don’t now either way though I remain open minded. However my fear is that prostatis may in fact be a part, but only a part of the problem.

y

I highly doubt this statement. There are many sufferers on this forum who took only few tabs of fin (4 -6 tabs) and got sides.
On the other hand I had had prostatitis for many years and did not suffer any sexual , mental or physical sides what so ever. The only problem if I had was my insufficient sleep due to waking up to pee.

Well, that is a really accurate theoretical point, but it seems that not many guys had some kind of improvement after visiting dr Kos.

I don´t really understand why this thread has gone so quite when in the past weeks was the hottest topic.

I wonder I could have some more feedback from the guys who went to Kos and see how they are doing.

reeeff
you should contact Solonjk, maybe he Will respond to PM.

hey guys

be patient, I’ll make a detailed report in about 2 weeks

Just to say i massaged my prostate today with a prostate massager. Was fairly painful on the prostate with minimal pressure. Still aching now 5 hours after. I wanted to see how it would feel.

Keep in mind this is meant to be pleasurable. It most certainly wasn’t.

19,
I wouldn’t do the prostate massage myself! I went to the Dr. Georgiadis in Kos and had 25 massages. It was very painful when he performed the massages. But about 5 minutes after the massages I haven’t had any pain.
So you mentioned that you have pain even hours after your massage; this is not supposed to be and it is dangerous.

I doubt i was applying the same amount of pressure as a third party. Also i was using a prostate massager which some people use as a sex toy. If it is safe and painless for them i wanted to see if it would be painless for me. It was not and in some places was unpleasant. The lingering pain was simply an exacerbated more than usual discomfort.

My purpose was to assess the site of pain and character of pain.

Just gonna drop this here for those who doubt that prostatitis can wreak havoc with the HPTA

There are guys having very similar issues to us due to prostate/ pelvic floor issues in this thread on Crisler’s forum

musclechatroom.com/forum/showthread.php?18846-Candida-and-the-early-stages-of-primary-testicular-failure/page2

"But this time around was the major blow up, involving for the first time my WHOLE urethra from the bladder neck to the tip (which was so sensitive I couldn’t really wear much anything other than loose underwear and sweat pants for 2 months), the ‘sitting on a golf ball feeling’, rectal pain, spasming of every muscle down there including rectal muscles, incomplete bladder emptying due to constriction at the bladder neck, burning after urination, painful ejaculation, crazy pain after ejaculation (8-12 hours at least), pain after bowel movements, spasming of pelvic muscles after same, and then the neurological symptoms came about 3 weeks later when my whole system seemed to crash, and sank my T level to 100-130, complete loss of sex drive and inability to get erections, all nocturnal erection stopped completely. I think my sanity has been threatened lol, but no joke. "

That sounds very similar to a post finasteride right? apart from the major pain after ejaculation and possibly other sever pain. It is also interesting to note that the same poster mentioned a brief recovery spell during the summer. The same thing happened to me when i was in the blazing sun for a few weeks.

UK20;
Apologies for mentioning nettle root. I don’t think its a supplement that any of us should be taking;
I tried it recently and it didn’t agree with me, with a return of prostatitis and a burning feeling in the prostate.
It has been a hard lesson for me.

The best thing thats helping my prostatitis at the moment is:-

  • walking ( at least 1 hour of walking per day)
  • drinking plenty of water
  • daily hot bath
  • anti inflammatory, e.g. ibuprofen
  • sustain alpha
  • low dose cialis every few days
