I’m not there yet lol… Still living my life for the moment here in France (heading to Kos july 11th). And still, I almost NEVER drink, just had a few glasses of wine yesterday night which is enough for me to get a lil tipsy…
Solonjk,
Are you still on treatment now ?
Is there a deadline to it, or can you stay until you and Dr Pavlos agree on the fact you are totally cured ? (except from the monthly visits to check everything goes well and do the finish) ?
People seem to be repeating the same things in this thread, and also possibly becoming a little too engrossed in theories. I think the best thing to do is just wait and see how the guys receiving treatment do over the coming months. Or better, fly out there now. I think it might be useful on the first page of this thread or some sort of sticky, to put down the usernames of who is receiving treatments and when. It will save everyone from asking. What do you think mods?
FOR UK MEMBERS
I am finding very cheap direct flights from Liverpool and cheap return tickets to London via skyscanner.net during August. I have also emailed Georgiadis again to confirm how much diagnosis/ TRUS scans alone would cost and i will update this post with that information when i receive it.
I may have already mentioned this but he also told me via email that his stay in Kos will be extended into September due to an increasing number of patients. However, during that month he will be flying to Athens for 5-7 days.
UPDATE
Georgiadis has emailed me back:
"The initial visit with all the diagnostics is 500-600 Euro. After that, we start daily treatments and each costs 80 Euro.
On average, a patient needs 30 treatments. A patient can stay here for 4 weeks and have daily treatments, but in
some cases we can arrange for a patient to stay here for 3 weeks and have double treatments (one in the morning, one
in the evening) during the third week.
In total the therapy should be about 3000 Euro. There is the extra cost of the medicines, which the patient has to buy
independently from the local pharmacies, which will not exceed 500 extra Euro (it can range from 200 to 500)"
I agree with UK20. Lets keep this on topic. We’ve said enough on theorising. I just want to hear stories of people being treated. Only the results are relevant at the moment.
Has anyone who has e.mialed Georgiadis been told by him they do no have symtoms of chronic prostatitis?
If someone emials him that they have toothache will he tell them they have prostatis and to come to Greece?
(Am I the only one here who is a little suspicious)
Im gonna edit this post later cuz not much time now, but Im definitely bringing bromelain and, more importantly, serrapeptase to Kos with me (along with magnesium, fish oil and b complex vitamins) as they (the enzymes not the vitamins) could very well help to assist , even speed up the efficacy of the massages+antibiotics treatment. I will probably post later why and how with quotes from papers etc. Until then you can research those key words : (bromelain) serrapeptase inflammation fibrin biofilms antibiotics. Also search serrapeptase prostate (you will find that serrapep also helps with BPH symptoms but DONT WORRY it ISNT in any way a 5AR inhibitor). Solonjk I think you should try this as it seems you could use every bit of extra help fighting your staph.
EDIT
OK just for you Solonjk, because I know you’re skeptic towards the effectiveness of “natural” supplements for our serious conditions ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16757752
Also check this link viewtopic.php?p=2434#p2434 , posted a lil higher
And remember serrapeptase is a potent fibrinolytic, favorably comparable to our body’s own urokinase, and streptokinase
EDIT
this is probably overdoing and i dont recommend it, but pentoxiffyline also has been shown to aid in fibrin reduction (and to potentiates the fibrinolytic (thrombolytic) action of urokinase), it is also good for blood flow to extremities and an effective treatment against peyronies… So although it might not be directly anti-biofilm like serrapeptase, it is still good against some processes that play a role in inflammation (fibrin deposits). I will ask Dr G about this bt will bring some cheap trental generic with me. It IS a very safe drug btw, research it if you want.
On a side note, fibrin is responsible for fibrous scar tissue and inflammation… I got circumcised post-fin and got a badly hypertrophic scar. I this this is all linked.
EDIT3
doctor’s best serrapeptase is reported to be effective, good quality, is enteric coated (even the 40000IU one which I got, and this -the enteric coating - is important) and can be found dirt cheap on iherb.
i also get my bromelain (NOW brand), and pretty much all my supplements from there. Good prices, excellent customer service and cheap but very reliable international shipping. I get most of my pharm generics from alldaychemist, quality dirt cheap indian generics. Please understand that Im not shilling for these companies, just willing to share what i have found to be the best after having used lots and lots of internet based companies. Mew or golf please tell me if im breaking any rule here.
Can you elaborate a bit on what he said? Did he confirm you had inflammation in the ultrasound or is he just giving you antibiotics based on what you have said about your symptoms?
Sorry, I mean that I saw a doctor this morning and I told him my symptoms, so he gave me a prescription to make a TRUS, an urine analysis and to take some ciproflaxine.
The ultrasound comes this afternoon, I will report what it shows.
Hi, never posted here before but have been following this thread closely. I’m suffering from most of the classical symptoms for going on half a year now due to Propecia usage.
I am scheduled for treatment on July 11th, but would still like to hear some more feedbacks from ppl presently receiving it before making arrangements.
Solonjk – are you still meeting gefinauser and noniman at the clinic? How are they doing? They have been awfully quiet lately… Did they mention abstaining from the forum?
Also, can you elaborate more on your own condition? Which aspects of your sexual health are improving and which are still lacking?
