Just be aware of the rate. It costs $1.50/minute to call the US. Incoming calls and national calls are $1.25/minute. If you want it for emergency calls only, then I’d imagine it’d be fine. It’s an expensive phone if you plan on using it alot. I decided to go with Skype and call from my computer.

Sorry if this has been explained earlier, but fin causes the prostate to shrink… and that is not caused by this prostate bacteria/infection, it is caused by fin itself. So getting rid of this infection is still not going to bring the prostate back to normal size is it??

A biopsy is an invasive procedure, and can do more harm than good.

Fuck, i need to correct my own mistake: Georgiadis works in Kos for the summer and goes to the Athens for couple of days for his patient’s post treatment - elsewhere in the year it’s vice-versa, he works in Athens and comes to Kos for couple of days.

To my understanding Georgiadis can deduct cell damage/death during the treatment as that (fibryosis) can hinder the treatment progress. Somehow he manages to get rid of that as well. Do remember that what happens after the treatment is prostrate recovery and growth which is vital as well.

Who said that it shrinks the prostate after its use is stopped?
Once you stop the medication it returns to its normal shape or even larger.

It doesn’t return to normal either.
It probably returns to a state of predisposed inflammation because the proteomics and genomics are altered. There is research that proves weakening of protein production that controls local immunity and in those grounds any previously “harmless” pathogen develops into a big problem.

I think biopsy is very important to answer a lot of questions.

TRUS is all you need.
Biopsy is the last step used to detect cancer if not detected by DRE and if ratio of free PSA to PSA are increasing through the years and if antibiotics don’t bring down PSA, there’s a lot of IFs to jump there for something that can be detected by ultrasounds.

Your symptoms SpStriken are directly related to prostatitis, i read your history and am surprised you don’t want to treat this.

Have you had any treatment related to prostatitis till today?

My cousin used saw palmetto for 3 months and now he is here stating a great improvement himself.

Wow, what are the chances of having another person having trouble from using 5AR inhibitors in your actual family!?

Where do propecia and saw palmetto even fit into this theory exactly? how do they encourage the development of prostatitis?

I am not doubting the theory whatsoever, i would just like to know.

I have been watching this thread, so thought to share my prostatis story.

In 1990 I got urine burning, frequence, urgency and night visits to washroom (was getting up 8 - 9 times per night).stream was very thin and weak. I had to spend a lot of time in the washroom to empty my bladder. I was having intense errections at the same time. First had to wait for 5 - 10 minutes for my errections to subdue and then urinate.

urologist gave digital exam and I cried with pain when he touched my prostate. test came positive (gram postive ). put me on

doxy cycline
ampicinine
uroxine
Noroxine
these all meds I took for almost 2 months. Doctor did culture and told me all is gone but my problems were there, 24 hr errections, burning at the tip of my penis and pain. Second urologist told me it was now abactarial prostaitis, treatment? prostatic massages for months. I did those then got fed up and learned to live with that. I had to drink huge amount of water (12 14 glasses) to keep urine diluted. I lived that way upuntill learned about Saw Palmetto’s miracles. thought it was a magice bullet will fix my both problems (hair loss+ prostate). The rest you know.
I was totally different. Despite of getting up at night and little to no sleep I was strong like bull. I was fond of arm wrestling and was able to crush bigger guys easily. My errections were my problems then. Before going out I used to see down many times to make sure my junk was not visible. Present situation is 180 degree oposite.

I really appreciate your help. No I am fine. After SP my stream is like a water coming from a hose. I have no pain, no night wake ups, not a single prblem. I have
muscle loss
wieght loss
weak ness
joint pain
ED and impotence.
Unfortunately I am on boat with Awor. It is DHT metabolism problem. Prostate is of sure a problem, and you guys will get some relief to your symptoms (for sure) BUT IT IS NOT THE ROOT CAUSE OF ANDROGEN INSENSTIVITY. THAT IS WHY I OFFERED REWARD OF $500.

Yeah Spstriken, over here we got several guys complaining those same issues. My urination flow is okay/fine to me but i still got hell of a infection down there. You shouldn’t make big conclusions just like that and you should ask Georgiadis about it, he can tell you if he has patient’s with the symptons like you. (20 years, remember.) btw, Do you have any prior TRUS done before?

About the recommendation to take Mag supplements to limit the damage done by quinonolone on joints, and gefinauser contradictory reply that magnesium could render the antibiotics less effective (which almost bring a dilemma : your joints or your prostate?) : A little googling brought out this, that confirms what gefinauser said but maybe give some guidelines on how to use magnesium supplements with antibiotics if you really want to (I will ask the doc about that)

Antibiotics --The absorption of quinolone antibiotics, such as ciprofloxacin (Cipro) and moxifloxacin (Avelox), tetracycline antibiotics, including tetracycline (Sumycin), doxycycline (Vibramycin), and minocycline (Minocin), and nitrofurantoin (Macrodandin), may be diminished when taking magnesium supplements. Therefore, magnesium should be taken 1 hour before or 2 hours after taking these medications to avoid interference with absorption.

Mg inhibits antibiotic efficacy. You can’t take Mg and certain antibiotics together because they compete for the same receptor site on the cell membrane, and magnesium will win, cutting antibiotic efficacy. So you must follow a rule of thumb:

Take antibiotic, wait 2 hours.
Take Mg, wait at least 4 hours before next antibiotic dose.
The exception is Cipro; you must wait 6-7 hours after taking Mg before you can take another dose of Cipro.

*by the way you said you had prostatitis many years ago. Where did it go, did it dissapear from your body? You killed the bacteria with the aforementioned antibiotics you used??

yes my prostatis got healed,after use of antibiotics.I don’t know ulrasound is better or cystoscopy is better, I got cystoscopy twice(India and Ottawa). Urologist looked at my prostate on the computer using a small camera run through my penis. Very painful procedure. But here point is when my symptoms were on their peak so were my sexual strength and libido. I used SP for about six months and it flipped me in the last month. Just in 30 days it turned me 180*. I was very happy in the first 5 months as my pain disappeared, my urine stream got better, I was peeing smoothly like water running on the silk. Before SP use I always felt burning in my prostate and penis. So I am feeling just opposite to you guys. What you guys are feeling now after fin use, I was feeling before SP use.
I will wait for 3 - 4 months and see what you guys come with. I have no personal ego. Since I have seen bacterial and a-bacterial prostatitis for 18 years ( since my teen) I know what I am talking about. Indeed during this all period I did a lot of things to keep my erections down. It was very annoying while talking to women or girls and your pant hard down there.
