Ok, so I’ve been medicine free for nearly a month, preparing for fresh hormonal/thyroid baseline tests, and an official stool test, toxicity tests, etc. Right now, for several days leading up to these tests, I’ve even been instructed to abstain from my doctor-issued vitamins which include AM and PM packets of vitamins with healthy doses of Iodine, Magnesium, antioxidants, EPA/DHA, alpha lipoic Acid, Milk Thistle, Seed Extract, N-Acytyl-L-Cysteine, etc. Ingredient list here (it’s a fantastic vitamin): nationaldiscountvitamins.com/details.cfm?Group_ID=37&Product_ID=5606
I was planning to bring these vitamins with me to Greece, along with some probiotics, L-Glutamine, Vitamin C, Magnesium. (Supplements are habit-forming, folks).
Does the doctor strongly discourage ALL vitamin intake during the period of treatment (and just before)? Does he mention probiotic intake after treatment? Thanks.
Thanks for posting the photo’s. This is at least a little encouraging.
Are you also getting treatment in Greece or are you seeing a doctor in France? Is he using the same massage technique or is he using some antibiotics to fight off the infection?
ALso, do your sides extend beyond Sexual ones like most of us? I noticed you didn’t list too many other sides in your initial post on the forum.
As mentioned before, I wasn’t able to get a copy of my TRUS scans. But when the tech left the room, I quickly took a camera phone video. I didn’t think it was worth posting, but for what it’s worth, here are a couple of fuzzy screen shots I extracted, complete with glare. I have no idea what I’m looking at.
What solon said. I’ll go along with cipro after discussing with Doc, otherwise i’d had trouble figuring out what pathogens i have.
Xhorndog, it looks familiar. I couldn’t descripher such a fuzzy photo but well, the only person who can effectively check the TRUS and tests is the man himself. Those TRUS aren’t worth much - a programmed TRUS or misexperienced/haphazzard TRUS don’t tell much.
Solonjk you have no right to speak against any religion. If you start dragging religion or race here into this forum then it will not benefit any one.We will soon start fighting with each other.
This is against basic ethics and rules of this forum.
solon - no need to called any religion fanatical, religion doesn’t belong on this board.
striken - he didn’t make fun of you personally, in the future just PM him if something he or anyone posts bothers you regarding religion - no need to carry it further
also, we know that it is you posting because it says your screen name on the left side of the screen - you do not need to write “sps” on every one of your posts. thanks.
Calm down dude. We are all at the edge of our seats waiting to see how Solonjk’s treatment progresses and no one here wants to see him banned, that would be a major setback for all of us. He’s helped us learn about a new treatment and a new doctor who might be able to help us. A lot more than you have ever contributed, to be honest.
sp, can you please settle down man. Telling someone “close your dirty mouth” and asking the admin to ban him in an open post is as likely to start a fight as anything else. I don’t know if solon offended you at a personal level or if you are just getting frustrated trying to convince people that his theory has holes. I disagree with the idea that prostatitis is the root cause of our problems too, but disagreeing with someone is no reason to wait for a chance to jump them at the first opportunity. It seems like the topic has been debated enough already and there is no reason to continue picking it apart at this point. Some of these guys are already in treatment, so there is not much for us to do except let them do what they are determined to do and hope that it pans out for everyone no matter what we think. Meanwhile, we can discuss the alternate theories elsewhere and keep trying to move forward.
thanks golf, jotz and dubia. Mew has warned many members here against religion use , for this reason I hated musalman and stopped responding him, he too was dragging religion here.
No it is not my frustration against his theory or him. I have been respecting him for his aggressive efforts to find solution to this issue. Honestly I want more people go for prostate theory / treatment. The more people go, the more definite answer we get.
For what it’s worth, I really don’t think Solon was trying to offend. He was talking about a close friend, and using an exaggerated example, and I think the term “fanatical” got lost in translation from the intended tone and Greek word for “fanatikos.” It’s hard to keep a strict diet, only the most orthodox followers of a regimen (religious doctrine helps) can follow a no sugar or no pork diet—that’s the point I think he’s making. I’ve been pretty fanatically abstaining from sugar. It is possible, but getting back to the original context, I’m not suggesting that anyone has to completely eliminate any dietary indulgence from their life, and I’m not suggesting that strict dieting will treat E.D. like some magic bullet, but rather that diet contributes directly to disease and inflammation (doesn’t Dr. Georgiadis advise against sugar and spicy foods himself?) and for those that want to improve their health, PFS or no PFS, I’m a proponent of the dietary theories I mentioned.
So let’s get back to talking about Trans Rectal Ultrasounds, everybody!
Well, that’s nice to hear from you. Several people are coming here in different months so i’m preeetty sure we should get more case stories about this treatment from finasteride people. If i see any new faces, i tell them to post their case stories in this topic if they feel comfortable and confident that something is happening to them/something is working OR not working.
Also, Georgiadis works in Kos for the summer and goes to the Athens for couple of days for his patient’s post treatment - elsewhere in the year it’s vice-versa, he works in Athens and comes to Kos for couple of days. It’s so ridicilous jesus christ, he starts taking patients at Athen at 8:00 am and ends at 12:00 PM. He takes everyone in and there’s a queque of like 70 people. His finger is becoming so loose thorough these years that he is afraid that it will cut off one day. He’s got a heart of gold.
I think the TRUS topic is difficult as you’d really need to do all the other tests along with a proper prostatitis examination TRUS with a good doctor, like i’ve said - not to you know OFFEND or BELITTLE but i believe that for those in Europe that are suspicious about this, they should book cheap flights and arreange the examination with the doctor for one day. I think it would be pretty beneficial to both the patient and perhaps to people over here who are considering whether there is any merit in this prostatitis theory. It means uh “wasted” money on plane tickets and the cost of examination. This is a better option than leave uncertain whether you have prostatitis or not. The guy does the best prostatitis tests for sure. (20 years!)
But you know, it’s going to be AT LEAST two weeks+/- before anything can be said about this treatment guys so my best advice is to give it a time & just take it easy and go on with your lives or eg. if you’ve made your mind then arreange the treatment. Or the examination…
You know, realize this: it’s a huge financial risk. You have to arreange a LOT of money for this plus possibly after-treatments depending on how well he’d get rid of infection, it’s usually always somewhere between 95% to 100%. After-checks are important you know, for Georgiadis and to you as well (prostrate growth post-infection, checking for inflammation, getting rid of any bad bacteria) and he understands that some patients come VERY far away with more difficulties on financing. He has people all over the globe, i’ve met a guy from pakistan.
This is why i told you/i’m telling you to figure out your finances and budget, all the choices and opportunites the best you can for this.
I guess it’s good to realize that you quite likely put the same amount of money the next year into hormones, vit supplements, diet, royal jelly, erection medicines and so forth. Not good at all if you have chronic prostrate infection. I fucked up with creatine for 2 months and looking back how things progressed, now i realize that i inflammed my seminal vessicles for worse in the progress. Hella infected, shit shit shit.
This is how i feel about this right now. There’s not whole lot more to say about this for awhile. I hope things will improve for me. I hope these pills are worth it. I’ll DEFINITELY let you guys know if things improve for me, just give it/me the time.
I agree with this. Also, the dietary restrictions are alcohol (inflammates prostrate!), sugar (i need to ask if fruit sugar is different, something like xylitol seems to be okay) and spices (inflammates prostrate! salt is okay.) Maybe you guys do well avoiding those as well.
Just plain sugar eg sweets and chocolate. Carbs are okay i guess. Fruit sugar/fructose is okay. Just don’t overboard with those - not that you will have too much money to spare on such luxury anyways. Moderation or as little as possible is always good.
I’m glad i live in a country full of berries and that everybody is allowed to pick them (Everyman’s rights (because who the fuck would pick them? hundred tons of berries rot in the forest every year regardless)). I think i’ll start picking those with my mom so that i can eat them myself. Cranberry is v.good for men’s health (antioxidants, protects urinary tracts from certain infections (no help for prostrate though)) and fyi watermelon is good for kidneys.
Well, this is what Dr. Georgiadis had to say about my TRUS scans:
From the pictures, it is easy to see that there are many non-homogenous parts on the prostate.
This indicates that your chronic prostatitis is in its active form (and that’s why you are exhibiting your symptoms).
In other words, the chances that the root to your problem is chronic prostatitis are extremely high.
