I am saying prostatitis is not the cause of our problems. saw palmetto or fin or dut all are 5AR inhibitors and they created their own set of symptoms. Why you guys donât understand FTMs and trans sexuals when took SP or Fin Dut etc got the same as us. He does not have balls or prostate? Also there are stories of girls who when took Fin/SP got severe overy pain, dry vagina and loss of sexual desire or we can say they become femal impotent⌠I suspect problem is in our brain, some brain areas have got damaged or affected. some hormones besides just FSH and LH are inhibited.
I am not trying to discourage any one but trying to understand our problems.
as for todstool is concerned he should do some research, SP in many researches have been shown to be 320=5mg fin.
Most often what happens when people get BPH or prostatis they start using different herbals meds ,like me who took SP, and when they get impotance they blame it on prostatis.
I bet and chalange every one on the forum prostate is not the cause, and if any one got well after treating his prostate ( got LH, FSH and hormones in normal range and feels as normal as before) I will offer him $500.
Another note about my prostate. After the treatment my prostate was normal. I got two systoscopies with normal results. one in India and second in Ottawa 4 years apart.

I think antibiotics can help people. The question is why? And also can they cure? There are a few potential reasons:
- There is an underlying infection which solonjk believes.
- It acts as a histone decactelyase inhibitor and changes an epigenetic marker which awor believes.
- An anti inflammatory effect.
Problems with these:

Not everyone has prostate issues - some people have normal scans such as Mew - unless an infection is secondary to something else. Perhaps there is a feedback effect where the prostate issue stops the primary thing from recovering but i am just speculating. Also women who suffer from a similar syndrome do not have prostates. How does it link in with other recoveries?

The evidence that antibiotics are HDACs is not conclusive - also doesnât explain why some people like myself respond a bit to antibiotics but not other HDACs such as Xyrem. Also why would the prostate be painful if it was insensitive or hypersensitive?

massage was painful in the begining but then eased down, I donât know I go used to or it got better it was long ago (1990s). what place did it? sorry I could not understand this. you mean in Canada or India? I did it in India. you have to live on the couch with your knees touching your belly and urologist perform it. I got few here in canada as well but urologist told me prostate is fine. I got last one after the sides and urologist again told it was fine.
another thing urologist who did my cysto here in Ottawa said almost every male has some bacterias in prostate area due to nature of the area but they donât neccassarily cause trouble.
Finally before this all mess (SP use) my urine was always very thick brownish. stream was narrow.Had constant burning. But now after SP it is whitish and very wide. I pee as easily as when I was 10 year old. Definitly because my prostate has shrunken.
Has anyone tried Chinese herbs such as Coptis? Can someone ask their doctor if they get a chance what they think of this?

You know, I keep seeing it posted that many have âfelt betterâ on antibiotics. Is there an official tally we can come up with? Which members got better, and what does this mean? E.D. ceased for a day or a week while on antibiotics? Can we compile a list of suspected helpful antibiotics?
As I mentioned probably 342 pages back in this thread, I took a ten-day cocktail of antibiotics to kick-start a systemic cleanse. As expected, they caused me much internal strifeâI was excreting shit soup 7-8 times a day. Completely wiped me out, was so drained of energy, utterly lethargic and home-bound. It took a couple of weeks to feel normal again. This may have knocked out any pathogenic bacteria in my gut, but it temporarily took the life out of me. I had negative libido.
The antibiotics I used were:
Amoxicillin 500mg 2x a day
Metronidazole 500mg 3x a day
Clarithromycin 500mg 2x a day
I was also given Omeprazole 20mg 2x a day and Bismuth Subsalicylate (Pepto Bismol) 525mg 4x a day to soothe the stomach. (So imagine how many times Iâd be shitting w/o this stuff).
Iâm not one of those people who had any sexual improvement on antibiotics. Only thing that improved were problems I was having with a discharge from my eyes and as soon as I come off I have eye problems again. I have no idea if the eye problems are related to finasteride, but they did start more or less when I quit.
I get this too. One of my eyes will just start to tear up and burn randomly. Its not both, its usually one at a time and that would never happen pre Fin.

I had pms exchanged with him and he told me again about himself ( he is basically girl who changed to male via testosterone). Not that I have read other posts from women/girl who used saw palmetto for enhanching their busts or hair (yes saw pamlmetto is used by women or MTs for growing their busts) got into serious trouble. Mainly severe hair shedding , heavy periods and overy pain or in other words their gonadal system was disturbed which only can be because of problem in the brain. As for as my prostate symptoms, no I donât have any. Like I said my biggest problem was thin stream, burning in urine etc. All are gone. I pee easily , no burning etc but at a big price.
I have read exactly an other case at musclechatroom.com where a guy used betasitosterole for his symptoms like mine and got well but got the same troubles as I did.
I am thinking some importan hormone has been stopped in the pitutary not just lh or fsh.we need to find it and replace it.
I read Grey_Wolfâs story, and they said they were a female turned male that lost erections. Forgive me if Iâm confused, there. Again, I do not know what kind of anatomy this individual has, admittedly, Iâm not up to speed on my transgender knowledge.
Also, youâre referencing another person who took yet another prostate-related medicine, Beta Sisterol E, and worsened his overall health. Again, I donât know how many of us have prostatitis-related E.D. and other symptoms, but I donât see how reporting that people who took prostate meds ended up with worse symptoms diminishes the likelihood of Solonâs contention that drugs can make a prostatitis situation worse.

thanks all but no body could not answer my questions about sides experienced by tarns sexuals and girls who took SP /fin or even accutan, and killed their libido, got dry vagina and painful overies. this all points to Gonadal problems. we male are having painful testicles. overies and testicles both are gonades and are governed by the same hormones.
last but not the least I have had long email exchanged with Denmark ministry of health , they have banned saw palmetto in Denmark after their investigation found it to be endocrine disruptor. If you are interested I can post emails here.

solon I donât have any prostate problem (indeed if it still exists it is flat and shrunken).I have no problem with my pee. I finish in seconds ,very big and wider stream. No burning, no inflammantion. Not a single issue with my genitals.
I was done my ultrasounds and systosopy at the General hospital in Ottawa, Canada. If I request them again they will either prescribe me some meds for my brain or send me to Kingston Mental Hospital.
This is from a PFS friend who shall remain anonymous who has been improving rapidly, going from complete impotence to being able to have sex on a regular basis. Still suffers from brain fog, libido is still not 100%. His treatment has been mainly antifungal medications, and recently, some experimentation with Dexamethasone which has given him a bit of a boost in mental clarity and libido.
Keep in mind that this person is following this prostatitis thread, and trying to make a connection. Is there one?
