Progesterone treatment?

I know what you mean and I’ve used your argument before. But usually, people with cancer and AIDS don’t get better, they degrees and eventually die if they don’t have medical intervention. For us, we crash, have a few horrendous months, then improve a little bit. Then we stay at a baseline much lower than our pre-fin selves. So our conditions are very different in those terms, and hopefully, easier to treat. We will just have to see. We will hopefully have answers to our questions by the end of 2013.

I hope so, man. I don’t have it in me to battle this very long. I’ve already tried offing myself once and it’s only been 3 months.

Cap, take on a challenge, and try to make it a purpose to live healthier. Get to the gym every day, eat lots of veggies, make blender smoothies with lots of fruit and maybe a handful of spinach for breakfast… make it a purpose.

With that said, this was a really interesting thread that has gotten wildly derailed. I know I’m new here, but can I say that we just stick to LATE’s story, or at least individual responses to progresterone?

So final verdict from people who tried this?

My progesterone arrived in the mail. Haven’t started using it yet because I had a few good recovery days in a row recently and didn’t want to add an X factor into that. I’ll probably start in the next week or two if things don’t continue to improve. I’ll report my findings.

started the progesterone cream last night, dont know if its placebo effect or not but ive felt good all day today, anxiety seems to be lifting…

It might not be the placibo effect. I’ve been using Progesterone cream for a month and a half, and the first things I noticed clear up were my anxiety and my front headaches. I think it only took three days for that.

Smeared some prog cream on my chest this morning and felt really foggy all day. This is after 2 weeks of feeling pretty much cured as far as brain fog goes. I even felt fine in the morning before I used it. The fog set in later while at work. The two may or may not be related, it doesn’t seem to make sense that it would cause that, but now I’m kind of scared to use it any further.

Hey Cap how long have you been using the progesterone cream?

I’ve only used it 3 times, separated by varying numbers of days. First two times I used it on my inner forearm and nothing happened. Third time I used it (yesterday) on my chest and felt like it induced extreme brain fog, though that could have been a coincidence. I feel better today.

I also had an interesting experience with progesterone cream. I applied a tiny amount (half the size of a pea) two consecutive nights and both of the following days felt brain fog, gyno, and terrible exhaustion (symptoms I don’t typically have). However, upon discontinuation, I felt great for about a week, had libido and much stronger erections. I have no idea why this might be, but it’s intriguing nonetheless.

im currently using the progesterone cream at night before bed,i wonder is it better to use it in the mornings or at night??? also how are you lads applying it??? ive been putting it on my inner forearms etc but have read its much safer to put it up your arse???..

I’m just hoping I haven’t fucked my recovery up too much with that shit. I felt pretty much cured mentally and was seeing improvement sexually. Since that day I used some on my chest I haven’t felt back on the level I was the 2 weeks preceding it. It could just be a natural part of the rollercoaster of recovery, of course, but the timing seems suspicious. Either way, I don’t think I’ll be touching that stuff again for a while, if ever. It’s really disheartening to feel better and then descend back into shit, especially the one day where it was even worse than before.

Hi,

This is my first post. I just registered because I’m interested in progesterone.
I have read on different sites that some people feel worse when they start with progesterone because their estrogen level will rise. It also says that the estrogen will decrease after a few weeks and that is when you’ll start feeling better. Maybe this is what some of you are noticing.
I have ordered progesterone cream and are hoping it will arrive soon. I have also ordered Iodine and are planing on using them together.
Gonna try to find some sources to the claims above.

Here are some texts about progesterone and oestrogen dominance:
progesteronetherapy.com/estr … z2K4ofKrIu
progesteronetherapy.com/just … z2IMFGT5UG

thats what happened to me, each discontinuation of the cream I have bounced back better. I think if anything it shows its touching on something, something crucial.

Seems like I was abit confused about the oestrogen dominance. The text says that progesterone activates the oestrogen receptors and not that it changes the oestrogen level. But with time progesterone gets dominant and the oestrogen induced symptoms will decrease.

Hi Guys-

Just thought i’d check in-

Still have not gone backwards from what i consider to be myself more or less recovered  … though, a price must be paid :frowning: - hair is going LOL. So what used to be my quest for attaining normality after finasteride is now my quest to keep my hair WITHOUT systematic 5ar inhibition- which obviously didn’t go well. lol
I just had a quick look through recent comments and noticed two things i’d like to point out.

  1. In my experience, (anecdotal as it may be), progesterone DOES take your through lows as well as highs. So please, try and remember this before you post ‘having one bad day/experience’- as it is not an accurate representation of progesterone’s longer-term, cumulative effects-
  2. The ‘bounce back’ effect which i’ve seen refered to in a previous post is EXACTLY how i noticed my improvements as well. I tended to have mini-crashes throughout my regime, however when i bounced back- i never seemed to fall below a certain benchmark of wellbeing again. Ie: i kept progressively getting better. For those of you familiar with basic physiology- there are positive and negative feedback loops (eg- Insulin, glucose and glycogen response/ HPTA axis/ neurosteriods etc etc) that affect homeostasis- progesterone may act as a positive modulator- once again by what exact mechanism- we can only speculate!

Really glad to hear its helping some of you btw! Please try and stick with it as best you can.
Anything else i can help with at all- please ask- i’m no expert, but i’m certainly not pulling anyones leg- this worked for me.

All the best

Good to hear. I want to keep up with it. It’s just really scary feeling worse. Especially after reading it can cause gyno and whatnot. The day it gave me brain fog it was more intense than the fog I had previously. :frowning: Very happy and jealous of your recovery, though. It’s so nice to see people getting through this.

And I feel your pain on the hair loss. Mine was receding very slowly before propecia, now it’s kicked into hyperdrive. Hair loss is the least of my concerns now, but it still sucks, especially considering I would have had many years of a pretty full head of hair had I never started this shit.

Hi light at the end,

Can I ask you what brand of progesterone cream you are using ?
