Progesterone treatment?

I hope you are not using Kokoro men’s formula, which is packed with saw palmetto

Nope Women’s Balance, but thanks for checking. I look at every label for supplements and check for SP and Stinging Nettle, They’re both poor man’s Fin.

I was 7 days on, 3 days off since I went down hill and my sexual functioning plummeted. It had quite an effect, now sexual functioning is firing back, and I’m horny again. Some incredible things are my digestion is 100%, absolutely zero bloating, lost fat/water weight gain, my appetite is back, my hands don’t get cold so it’s doing something very very good for my thyroid functioning. I am very excited, going back on it again, it is def a roller coaster ride.

Oh one more great thing, not stumbling over words, or forgetting what I was just about to do. Before I would go to bed I would check the front door like 3 -4 times like I forgot if I had checked it, now I am noticing I check like once and remember it. This is very very positive

lol I do the same thing with my garage door. I’ll sit and watch it come down but it’s like I’m watching on autopilot and not actually tuned into what I’m doing so I’ll drive off then have to drive back because I can’t remember if I’m remembering that I saw it shut this time, or last time or the time before.

How quickly do you guys begin to feel the effects of progesterone after applying?

Finatruth can I ask what brand of progesterone did you use ?

The cream is called pro-gest by Emirita, it’s 100 percent all natural. I felt the effects immediately , out on at night and when I woke up had the effects.

Is this the one your talking about ? amazon.co.uk/Pro-Gest-Cream- … by+emerita

Yes that’s the one

First application I didn’t notice much until the next day, subsequent applications I can feel something going on in about 15 to 20 minutes. First day not using the cream and I had to pee all damn day every 1 to hour and a half. We’ll see if this continues tomorrow.

I know Light and Finatruth felt better when they took a few days off of progesterone, I however experienced the exact opposite and couldn’t wait to get back on it Monday morning. Friday was probably the worst day of all, I had little to no brain / genital connection (probably a prami withdrawal effect too, though I’m thinking about making this an EOD or E3D part of the protocol) and had to go to the bathroom every half hour with very little coming out, it got so bad I barely made it home from my half hour commute from work that evening. My throat also swelled up (yes this is an application site) and I had a hoarse voice until I reapplied the cream Monday morning. I went XC skiing Friday afternoon and my hip joints hurt for two days after, something I haven’t experienced since I started running after about a 10 year break in August. I’m not looking forward to taking another break from progesterone in two weeks…

This leads me to believe that progesterone is definitely doing something to our estrogen receptors / estrogen production. When I have high estrogen I get these symptoms and when it’s normal or low they go away.

Week 3 -

Going off progesterone and Prami for Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday of last week made me feel terrible, joints hurt, acne on chest came back and generally felt “off”. Going back on Monday I could feel the effects in about 20 minutes and had a sense of calm (could be purely psychological). Rest of the week has been pretty good, haven’t been very active but have done a lot of “mental” tasks at work and at home which is good. Had some pretty good morning sex today, good erection until we moved the fun from downstairs to upstairs and I banged my knee on the side of the bed which took a few extra minutes to get going again. Overall doing well.

Wow, I am incorporating the below thread into this thread. Northisterone is basically progesterone. This is fascinating

thanks for the updates, what dose are you taking and what’s the frequency (once a day, twice a day)?

Guys, our situation is VERY complicated and I think that just time and good environment can cure us.
BUT is for sure we have some kind of adrenal fatigue and it can be cured!
Also -JN- who is a PFS veteran knows it! Our adrenals were stressed like hell (huge spike in cortisol), and now they produce low levels of DHEA, which the body uses to produce sex hormones AND PROGESTERONE.
Another thing produced by adrenals is Noradrenaline which stimulates Melatonin in the Epifisis or something, adrenal fatigue can’t produce enough of this and that’s why we sleep like shit!
On the top of that there is very low cortisol production! Why most of us guys lose 6 kilos after quitting fin? especially legs?? That is a sign of VERY low cortisol production! This can cause a tons of problems and especially low thyroid function (don’t sweat, feeling cold), bad digestion and so malabsorption of nutrients (so take multivitamin).

Anyway, yes progesterone is good, but only if you have some kind of PFS. I think instead that everyone would benefit taking DHEA 100mg instead of Progesterone for 2 months and then go 50mg. This will boost all your hormones, progesterone and testosterone also, and it won’t suppress the natural production! Remind to take DHEA with large dose of vitamin C (1000mg), always for adrenals. People starts to recover after years only when adrenals start to function correctly again I think.

I take (by my best measurements) 5mg of Progesterone once a day in AM after a shower. I rotate sites between balls and throat. Prami dose is .25 mg once a day, but I’m thinking about moving that to EOD or E3D after my next “off” period (not looking forward to it!).

The problem with DHEA is that it converts to estrogen and that will most likely fuck you up, at least that’s what it did to me.

I second that supplementing DHEA is a bad idea. Either use progesterone or pregnenolone and let your body decide how much DHEA you need. In men excess DHEA almost always is converted to estrogen vs. testosterone. The point of this thread is Progesterone though so lets not have this devolve into a DHEA yes/no discussion. Although I agree about adrenal fatigue and think Vitamin C is an important supplement to take daily.

Hey Queg, can you link us to some threads where someone has been cured by these methods?
