Damn, I can’t stop wondering why you would stop if you were having such improvements.
Brainfogboy- I usually apply each side of the neck, rotate. Suppose to rotate and apply where skin is the thinnest

Would end. It is like everything else people try
On this forum. Maybe there is a short term
Temporary improvement but nothing is a cure.

How long have you been off of the progesterone cream? Light seemed to suggest that upon cessation you will have a small crash and then bounce back again. If that did not happen to you then I would agree, this is a treatment but not a cure.
Are you interested in trying it again ? If you got such a positive result, and others claim near recovery to recovery?
I don’t know if I would use it long term if
it just improves my symptoms and it is not a

Ahhh so you find a treatment that was improving your symptoms and not a cure per se so you stopped? Ahhhh ok
I have been off of the progesterone for about 8 months now. The improvements stopped when I went off the cream. I have read that there might be dangers to long term progesterone use.
Week 1 Update-
After one week of following light’s protocol (though modified slightly) I’m seeing minor improvements. Like has already been reported this is definitely a roller coaster ride. Monday through Wednesday were definitely the low points. I felt tired, with little motivation and had a definite decrease in libido. Yesterday being the worst, I fell asleep around 8:30 pm after a day of work (no exercise since sunday) and prior to that felt brain foggy, had to urinate every hour and my eyes were watering /bloodshot. However, my wife woke me up around 10:30pm to go upstairs and go to bed, and guess what I had a huge erection! Same thing happened this morning when I woke up. Maybe my body was just tired from 3 days in a row of exercise and being outdoors and needed sometime to recoup, but there is definitely something going on from the progesterone, balls look and feel more full than before. Additionally, I’ve had body acne for about 5 years and I had a big breakout on my chest last week before I started progesterone. It has since receded and I don’t see any new breakouts in that area. I’ve also noticed that my beard growth has picked up in the last few days, normally I skip a day between shaving but my wife (who likes things nice a smooth) made me shave Tuesday night because it was irritating her. Anyway so far I’m intrigued with the results and will report back next Thursday with more.
As far as application sites I’ve been rotating between my neck and balls each day.
what modifications did you make?
I use Prampexole (Mirapex) instead of segeline and added DIM
It seems like others have had better results by alternating back and forth on different side of the next. Maybe you should skip out on rubbing it into your ballz and see if you get better more pronounced results.

I recently quit finasteride after 9 years use, and about 1 month later experienced the “crash”.
I’ve spent the last two weeks reading through almost all the posts on this forum (its become almost like a second job, but its also helped me through a lot of sleepless mornings as I wake up at 4am no matter how tired I am or what time I go to bed).
Of course diet and exercise, health living, no carb diet seem essential as well as avoiding stimulants.
The two protocols here I’ve been reading and re-reading are CDnuts and Light’s recovery protocols.
I’m not sure which one to start? Reading through CDnuts’ story in 2008, it sounded like he started with a fast, then raw foods diet followed by quercitin + DIM for 5 weeks. It was after the Q+DIM that CDnuts first started to notice improvement after 2 years of badness. He seemed to suggest you have to decrease estrogen levels before trying the multiple cycles of T raising therapy. He then went on to use cycles of Q+DIM, then cycled T boosting supplements + ball zinger, and then androhard+PCT then cycled back in T boosting supplements.
It seems that Light’s progesterone protocol is also an option, but also seems like people are getting a benefit after some crashes and then when stopping the prog, the benefits seem to go away.
Which would you guys try? I’m thinking about trying Q+DIM for 5 weeks to recreate CDnuts’ original plan, but also wondering if I should try prog first (esp since finatruth feels so strongly about this). I just agree with some posters that are wary of prog side effects over the long run.
Any advice would be great. Thanks!

I’ve tried CDNUTS DIM and Quercetin protocol, I think it has some merit, though it didn’t seem to help my sexual sides much. It did help my energy levels. I think DIM is essential, that’s why i combined it with the progesterone. Maybe give those two together a shot and leave out the Quercetin, I think estrogen is a huge problem for us symptom wise (though it may not be the underlying issue) and will probably give you a lot of relief.
I feel the need to post because this has been incredible. Through the use of progesterone I was able to actually induce a mini crash. I took progesterone for 7 days, each day I was sexually progressing worse and worse, almost complete numbness. My face, especially right above my eyebrow ridge was dark red. It was obvious that the progesterone was doing something. I decided to stop after a week, within 2-3 days nocturnals are back, I am horny again, and headed upward. I can’t help but think stimulating the estrogen receptors is the key to all this. I will see how I fare in a day or so we then continue again. There is absolutely no question at all, that in the last 1.5 years, after every major “numbness” sexual dowturn, I have rebounded with lessening symptoms

Week 2-
Today is my first off day for progesterone and Mirapex, still taking DIM and Fish Oil, Vitamin C and D. Over the past 2 weeks I’ve noticed some significant changes, including nocturnal and spontaneous erections, increased energy, and decreased brain fog, I’ve also experienced the opposite of all of these symptoms so it’s clear something is going on and progesterone is like a roller coaster, i hope it evens out the more I use it. Two things that have continued are decreased body acne and increased beard growth (I don’t have a heavy beard but can shave at 6 am and could shave again at 6pm now). I also haven’t done enough research on progesterone’s effects on the joints but normally I can crack my elbows, hands, fingers, wrists, knees and hips at will. MY body hasn’t been cracking as I wake up any more and my upper back doesn’t hurt like normal. Overall a positive and interesting experience so far. Excited to see if I rebound good or bad the next few days and what happens on Monday when I get back on the cream.
