yeah those marks, i have gotten those too, i think with pfs there are serious food intolerances and when you have the problematic foods, it is going to cause a stress reaction. i’ve had them disappear and reappear before based on what i am eating and find it to correlate to it.

3 foods i have been having a lot of, i recently eliminated and found my digestion is a little better after removal was potatoes, milk (even lactose free), and eggs. what’s interesting i have gotten a food allergy test and milk and eggs did show up high on the results before. potatoes being such high starch, i think it causes a problem just because if you are having digestion problems and then add the starch, it doesn’t do well just mixing in the gut with everything backed up.

i also can gain a lot of weight too if i have these problematic foods an have those marks, i think it is just really high stress in the body causing those marks, and the liver doesnt have a chance to detox because there is backup.

try looking at the food you are eating and see if it helps. make sure you are paying attention to what you are eating though to get enough of all the nutrients. if you dont eat milk, you still need calcium. so i got cocnut milk. or if you dont eat potatoes, you still need potassium so i drink oj, coconut water, cooked vegetables, an banans for that. or instead of eggs, liver is probably better to eat in small amounts for vit a.

i feel like a lot of problems is we cant get the nutrients we need because the body has so many food intolerances, then you eliminate a ton of stuff and that doesnt help to get the metabolism working. defo need those carbs from fruit and juice, no sugar isnt so great.

I got this bad

Are you on any protocol, diet, or something?

Have same problem here, but more pronounced. Developed a lot of stretch marks at time of crash and fat shifted all onto thighs and buttocks. It’s a feminine distribution of fat.

I think a diet that lowers estrogens and go to the gym.

@hippydoof Did you have any changes to the hairs on your body also or the actual tone/pigment of your skin? You’re very lean and you don’t have any obvious fat deposits, but yes your skin is very similar to mine.

@pete is it getting worse or has it pretty much stalled? any other skin or muscle changes?

I control it by doing cardio so they don’t continually gain fat. If I leave them, they will slowly gain fat. If I do exercise, they reduce down and get to a baseline where they look somewhat normal. (Not like before all this - but enough not to draw attention.)

Skin changes - main one was extreme facial flushing and redness. Very dry skin on face. Very thinned out skin that burns easily.

Muscle changes - pain in front of calves/ shins when walking, like a continual cramping feeling. Like there is not enough blood circulating and the muscles there are cramping up. Other muscle change is continual muscle twitches throughout body, including heart palpitations. This is reduced using magnesium.

None of these were present until I took Accutane.

Yeah it’s looking more and more like just fluid retention over my entire body, and it’s accumulating in my feet, legs, and butt. My body holds indentions all over of anything that presses against it. Muscles are completely offline. I don’t feel them supporting me or feel them working at all. Like they’ve just shut off. I’m in real trouble here.

Ive had 2 skin biopsies done. Both show there is something wrong but they cant say for sure what it is. Genetics refferal sent out. Waited weeks no reply. Called them to see when my appt is which she assured me i wont see by anyone for at least 18 months, probably longer because they are closed for covid. Meanwhile my skin is getting looser and looser and i am deteriorating rapidly. My whole body feels like a skin sleeve. My skin is not connected to my body. Its loosly wrapped around me. It doesnt even feel real. I cut my finger and couldn’t even feel it. Even after putting rubbing alcohol. No sting. Nothing. My skin texture has completely softened and puffed. Its loose and sagging everywhere my body looks completely different than even 6 months ago. I can pull it at least 1 inch from any given part of my body. I dont have over a year to wait. Do i have to beg for help? Im so sick of fighting

Have you ever checked your iron levels for iron overload? One of the symptoms of iron overload is “bronze or pale grey skin.” It’s also linked to very high levels of SHBG.

In fact, if there was one widely recognized condition that PFS resembled, it would be hemochromatosis, in my opinion. Low libido, shrunk testicles, etc.

Years ago, my iron saturation was at 58% on a maximum of 55%. Doc checked it off as ok, but recently I was told a level that high can cause oxidative stress.

If you go with a low iron diet, don’t go full vegan as it drove up my SHBG ridiculously high. Just eat low iron meats, and avoid the iron veggies like spinach.

Does anybody else have this? Like you’re holding some type of fluid underneath your skin? When you wake up your bedsheets or anything else leaves deep imprints in your skin that stay there for like 5-10 minutes over your entire body? It’s exactly how he describes it. It’s like your body literally swells. It’s not even normal fat tissue.

These were taken about 4 months apart. It’s very gradually getting worse. Despite keeping the same healthy diet and training when I can, it’s swelling fat deposition over my entire body. Primarily on my thighs and abs. Again, my skin texture and muscles have completely changed. I am entirely squishy all over. It’s like watery fat. Sorry about the shitty lighting.

My body swelled when I was on finasteride and when I was taking barley grass powder.

I’m now suspecting that swelling was the start of gut damage. I took a blood and stool test yesterday to see if there is a problem. Will then have to send results to my gastroenterologist to see his diagnosis.
Do you also have a problem with your stools?

I’ve had signs of gut damage since right after taking the 1mg. Constant farts and food intolerances for the entire 18 months. Nothing crazy in terms of stools though

I’ve got PSSD.

Since I crashed from inositol 3 months ago I have noticed I have spider veins on my hands and arms, feet. More prominent veins on my legs.
I have suffered muscle and tissue atrophy of my penis, hands and arms. I’m not sure about my legs.
I was a slim guy anyway, 5’11, 68 - 70 kg. I don’t have access to scales currently, so not sure how much weight I’ve lost, but I can literally see the bones on the inside of my forearms coming don’t from my wrists. When I clench my fists, it’s as if I can see my tendons moving… scary…
Since I’ve also had involuntary muscle spasms, I think this is nerve damage.
Difficult to seek treatment at the moment… :0(

I’ll try and post some pictures in a bit.

yepp, same shit here! Juat growing around belly area, face gets rounder and puffy like a girl. I have slowed metabolism. I believe we must fix guts first, then everything else could improve.

I’m going to complete metabolism control including CT to gastro prof as a first step

Did a 4 day fast and my skin was noticeably tighter. No where near as tight as it used to be but there was a difference id say 10% improvement. I noticed it most in my upper body and arms. I would have kept going but i literally felt like i was going to pass out. Ive recently been looking into an anti histimine diet i suggest everyone research it. Im going to give it a real try . after the fast i ate a bunch of high histamine foods and within 20 min my skin puffed out again , joints aching and cracking and i felt like absolute shit. my entire diet had been incredibly high histamine even tho its healthy. Im cutting it all out. its going to be strict but it may play a key role in this. What have a got to lose

@hippydoof, could you please take the post-drug survey?

It’s only an hour or two of your time.
