Merck knows it’s guilty of doing horrific damage to hundreds of thousands of patients around he globe in the 21st century. They know that finasteride can cause PFS in a subset of it’s customer base.
And they will continue committing such horrors as long as they can buy off those who sue them, sweep the whole thing under the rug, and move onto their next potential “blockbuster” – based on research that’s been conduced fast and loose and shuffled past the FDA on page 46,789 of a 50,000-page document.
Unless…
Unless every last one of the injured parties – and their family members – unite in protest, telling the world, “We’re mad as hell and we’re not going to take it anymore. We don’t want your money. We want you to clean up your mess, take responsibility for your actions – and get a new CEO.”
The choice is yours: Sit back and take it, or speak the hell up.
I just got a PM from a member of the forum who I had reached out to get his story on the podcast, and he told me “I’ve already told my story to the mainstream media, so I’ve done my part.”
Fuck you guys…seriously. You want to fucking sit around and let someone else do the fucking heavy lifting. Boo fucking hoo. I can’t even fathom the attitude that would lead someone to write that to me. The only way we get attention is if we so many stories on record that they CAN’T ignore us anymore. Its easier for me to get Dr. Irwig and Dr. Healy than it is to get a PFS guy on the show. Explain that to me.
I pay $29.99 a month to keep the podcast up and running, plus all my time setting it up…and nobody wants to tell their story.
Think about this…we are in this situation because of silence. Merck was silent about the true dangers of the drug. The FDA was silent. Your doctor was silent. What do I get from PFS guys? Silence. I’m sorry…but you come on here and complain about Merck not putting the truth out there, and then you don’t tell your own story. Fucking hypocritical.

And if Dr. Santmann – whose son took his own life as a result of PFS – has not established the PFS Foundation, there might be NO clinical studies going on as we speak. Certainly not at Harvard Medical School.
So be thankful for Kevin and Dr. Santmann and Adam for having the guts to step up and say:

I am very thankful for Kevin, Dr Santmann, Adam and of course Mew. I will really do my best to tell you my Story, because here in Germany are so many Men who suffer from PFS its so unreal.

I contacted you originally to suggest going for cdnuts as a guest, a rare example of someone who has had hardcore PFS and beat it, and you said you wouldn’t as ‘it was unclear even to him how he’d recovered’ (pretty sure that isn’t true). It might be better to have something like that once in a while rather than someone else regurgitating the same story of how their life got ruined. Also, my point about media participation was a valid one so I don’t get your anger.
Ugh. Why did you out yourself? Whatever. Why was I angry? Your fucking attitude sucks, and it the same attitude I see all over this board. WE WANT THE WORLD TO BELIEVE WE GOT SCREWED OVER, BUT NOONE WANTS TO TELL THEIR STORY.
