Only took two doses

Hey guys,

Just wanted to make a post to say that I fully recovered from severe PFS over two years (feb 2019 - may 2021) using a certain well known recovery protocol that is often discussed here.

My full story is on another website under my user name ”xxaleksi”. I am a 21 year old male from Finland.

Please don’t give up hope, I was really really messed up and I recovered. Could barely leave the house for almost a year post crash. I believe I am the youngest person to ever recover from severe PFS. I had just turned 18 when I crashed and now I’m 21.

Here’s my recovery post from another site:

”Alright fellas, gonna make a longer post this time now that I have more time.

I took 1.25mg of finasteride for three days in August 2018 and stopped after sexual side effects started to occur. For the next two months or so, I had horrible depression, numb genitals, crying spells, couldn’t sleep, hot flashes. I had heard of someone mentioning PFS before, but of course, I didn’t expect it to happen to me. Like an idiot I took the drug anyway due to vanity. I didn’t understand PFS meant much more than just long-term sexual dysfunction.

I didn’t completely crash until November 5th 2018. All of a sudden I could no longer sleep longer than an hour a night. I had brain fog to the point I couldn’t understand conversations, would slur my speech, couldn’t look anyone in the eye, couldn’t even have a conversation with my friends or family without going into constant panic. I had terrible vertigo, when I would lay in bed and close my eyes I felt like I was falling through the bed or like my body was spinning in circles. I had constant burning in my legs and genital area. Couldn’t look at screens without intense head pressure. Couldn’t cross a street or even go into places like public stores without panic attacks. Stress intolerance. Short term memory loss, no motivation in life at all, depression, dick and balls shrunk, no libido, ed, watery sperm, lost 10kg, dry skin, sunken eyes, rubbery skin, weird textured dry hair, no morning wood, prostate pain, you name it. I was so fucked up I don’t even remember all my symptoms. I could barely leave the house, and couldn’t work at all for the first 10 months post-crash.

I started CD’s protocol in February 2019. I did a one week juice feast and applied 100% of the regimen. Little by little my health would come back. It took about a year until I could sleep more than six hours again. At that point my healing accelerated and life became livable again. By March 2021 I was mostly recovered and started eating cheat meals every once in a while. But during my recovery I never cheated once. By May 2021 I was fully recovered.

It’s now May 2022 and not only are all of my PFS symptoms gone, but I’m actually in better health than before finasteride. I’m in better shape, look much better, more confident, and generally feel amazing everyday. I also did a 14-day water fast at home due to mold exposure in September 2021 and felt even better after. I’m turning 22 in a couple months and feel like I’ve went through something very, very few if anyone my age has went through.

In 2018 I thought my life was over due to a stupid mistake I made, now in 2022 I realize PFS was the biggest blessing of my life and I actually had the best years of my life so far during recovery. Learnt so much about myself.

I was a bad case of PFS, and I recovered.

Sorry, I don’t want to be the bad boy. I don’t want to touch down a recovery story, but you now how much hope we all have from this 100 + % recovery stories, but I have some questions…

you write you crashed on Nov 5 2018 with all the symptoms:

…depression, dick and balls shrunk, no libido, ed, watery sperm, lost 10kg, dry skin, sunken eyes, rubbery skin, weird textured dry hair, no morning wood, prostate pain, you name it. I was so fucked up I don’t even remember all my symptoms. I could barely leave the house…

in your member story you wrote on Nov 22 2018:

Updating this for people to see where I’m at, at approximately three months post fin

Sexual
Loss of Libido / Sex Drive - *

This has improved, watching porn is no longer like looking at a wall.

And i can have sex again.

Pine pollen really helps in this department*

Erectile Dysfunction -

Improvements here too, takes me a while to get one but once i do its rock solid usually.

That was in the early days. Any improvements I had during that time would last for a few days and then go away, come back again, go away, and so on. Of course in that time I thought I was recovering as I had just crashed and was very early into PFS and didn’t really understand what it was like yet.

You can read my full story on another site, I’m sure you all know which one but I think it’s against the rules to mention it here.

I didn’t actually start to make noticeable improvement until February 2019.

So if there is a 100 +% recovery possible, why so much people suffering.

So why than all the research projects, why the Baylor study, why the studies about the epigenetic changes to find the male process causing PFS on the way to a treatment, when a simple herb protocol can heal PFS to more than 100 %.

I don’t believe that all the researches, Melcangi, the Baylor University, the PFS foundation, the PFS Network on the wrong way and that pine pollen heals PFS.

“…now May 2022 and not only are all of my PFS symptoms gone, but I’m actually in better health than before finasteride. I’m in better shape, look much better, more confident, and generally feel amazing everyday…”

If it’s your story, it’s absolutely great. But please don’t say every body can be healed by this way!

Who knows if everyone can heal or not. Just wanted to give people hope as one of the first things I read back when I crashed was that severe cases cannot heal. Almost drove me to suicide.

I’m doing phenomenal these days, but it took two years of hard work. Had sex three times today and am studying to get into law school. Three years ago I couldn’t leave the house due to panic and derealization.

The cdnuts protocol is available since August 10 2013.

On this date cdnuts created his topic I’m cured and offered the healing strategies here on propecia help. Since this date he claims that every PFS case can be healed.

I want a cure for everyone who suffers on this horrible disease, but I don’t want that the poor boys here is given false hope to heal PFS by buying 23 herbs and juice fast ing.

And this has nothing to do with negative thoughts and so on.

PFS is a very severe disease with unbelievable epigenetic and hormonal changes and we need research that this disease becomes accepted by the medical community and gets an ICD 10 entry as a very severe medical side effect of a horrible drug still sold and prescribed.

And yes, fin is a horrible drug but I don’t think there will ever be a pharmaceutical cure for PFS just like there will most likely never be a cure for things like cancer, MS, ALS, parkinson’s etc. It’s too complex. Also, pharmaceutical companies goal is to make money by TREATING patients, for life, not curing them. Especially when it comes to a very rare disorder like PFS.

So not me criticizing a herb protocol is demoralising, it’s such an answer, that there is no hope for find a cure, but trying the herb protocol is the only chance to get 100+ % healing ?!

And without trying it, I can’t criticize the herbal protocols. And you’re healed I’m not. The recovery is very individual. Like someone is affected hard and someone is a mild case.

If cdnuts proclaims like documented in @pvdl thread every body can be healed by some herbs it generates false hope.

CD says that to give hope which is desperately needed in the PFS community. Everyone here knows how dark the early days of PFS are. Who knows if EVERYONE can get healed.

That’s also why I came back to share my recovery. To give hope. I was a severe case like many people who only took fin for a very short period, and I’m doing great now.

This gives no hope to the PFS community!

While I understand your point, I personally think a lot of people NEED that bit of harshness or a push to actually try this. Yes, there are people who’ve tried it without improvement. But I guarantee there are people here who could recover just like I did if they just get that push to get started.

And yes, I know people are suffering. I suffered too, a great deal. After crashing I went six months with 2-3 hours of sleep per night, plus all the other horrific sides.

All of which has either no record of healing anyone, or stories of one guy recovering and then five others getting worse.

The protocol I followed has a whole thread of recovery posts on the other site, which is why I chose to follow it.

EDIT: mainly talking about the endos, trt, proviron etc. here

Thank you for sharing your recovery story. It can give some hope that sides, which often feel so permanent, can be reversible, regardless of whatever protocol is followed. For that alone, I’m thankful for your message.

That’s what I’m here for brother!

As someone in the process of recovery after 12 years of suffering (badly), I believe the fundamentals of CD’s program are sound, which boil down to this:

  1. Fasting - whether in the form of longer periods or intermittent (my preference).

  2. Super clean diet, which is very strict with the what and when. I’d even go one step further and recommend low-carb/keto AIP diet (an even stricter version of Paleo).

  3. Androgen cycling. I don’t think this necessarily has to a prohormone like Androhard, etc. There are others, which I won’t mention to avoid controversy/violating forum rules.

  4. Herbs - as everyone here knows, there are wild variations in how we respond to any particular herb, making finding the right ones for any individual is an arduous process. There are only a small handful that I find helpful (only a couple of them are on CD’s list), which is why I think this part of the protocol should probably just be skipped by beginners/ and people on tight budget.

I think the major challenges for this protocol is that the diet aspect alone requires a TREMENDOUS amount of discipline, and some things are viewed as risky and/or frivolous. And then some things simply aren’t available/acceptable for every geographical/cultural region. And lastly, it’s still not a 100% guarantee to cure everyone. All of this makes it a very easy-to-bash protocol.

Every recovery story is great. Yes! But if you compare the simple datas of the member story with this recovery story not any date or recovery state matches with each other. Totally different history, totally different states of PFS and recovery.

We all suffer like hell and no one can come along and say I recovered by CDNUTS and all what PFS foundation and PFS network are doing is useless, because there never is a treatment for PFS:

“And yes, fin is a horrible drug but I don’t think there will ever be a cure for PFS just like there will most likely never be a cure for things like cancer, MS, ALS, parkinson’s etc. It’s too complex.”

This denies all the work PFS foundation and PFS network have done for a decade now! This is subtile Manipulation.

I agree the message of ‘take ownership’ of your health is a bit misplaced. I did that for a long time and it helped with nothing. So yeah, my ‘ownership’ was good for nothing. I don’t think many “protocols” are curative on their own. Maybe time is just the biggest factor here.

But whatever, that’s not my takeaway here. I don’t care about the protocols, or the next big supplement that cured someone. I’m just glad to see a brother recovered, and it gives me hope to see that symptoms can be reversed.

So for that, I’m grateful. And I’m also grateful for the tremendous work the PFS Network does. To me, those all messages of hope that keep me going.

Guys I used to lurk on PHelp many years ago when there were very, very few recovery stories. I remember people going wild about some guy called dustin who took super high trt, because nobody else was getting better.
I spoke with cdnuts via pm and he was helpful and legit. It’s clear that many people who follow what he does, or some variation of it like Chi, are able to make good progress and even get better.

There are many, many cases of it now like I wouldn’t jave believed ten years ago. I think some members and mods need to stop jumping on people who try it and try to talk about it here, it gives hope to new sufferers. I think thgere should be a subforum in this new site design, like the old recoveries section (yes there was one, though it wasn’t always legit so I understand that it was closed). But a place where people who have got back to near normal can report what worked for them.

For myself I made good strides taking some supplements and doing some light exercise, eating healthy pro androgenic or antis estrogenic foods also helped a lot.

Sadly I crashed again after years (see my story) but I can vouch for natural healing.

So for the devil…

every young guy or young girl whose life is destroyed by PFS, pssd or pas is a tragody. It’s unbelievable lives thrown away for profit and shareholders intestine massage, it’s laughing about human rights. It’s criminal as the drug cartels do.

So everyone who recovered is a glimmer of hope for the whole community. I’m old.

But all the young ones with their lives ahead I wish a recovery no matter what they use.

But my greatest wish is like @Eric said if a causal cure is available using the existing techniques and it becomes true as fast as no one ever thought.

A secure and documented cure for all!

I want a cure that definitely helps every sufferer. A research based causal cure of this epigenetic changes.

And I really don’t want that someone makes profit with injured souls.

Two years seems to be a pretty common recovery time for people who recover. I had persistent sides that took two years to resolve as well and I did nothing but wait it out. Now I have PFS, a completely different animal and I just treat the fatigue and the insomnia.
