I think you can drop Pycnogenol and start Curcumin and Glisodin. It appears that raising Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) is very beneficial. I am not sure where i read it but it seems that SOD is even more potent and essential from Glutathione.
- I still have floaters. Actually i was looking at this yesterday and it appears that floaters are there because of Oxidative Stress but i doubt that this problem can be fixed.
- I have no problem whatsoever, everything is normalized. Morning wood, no ED, feeling very good psychologically and actually there is still one thing happening which is quite strange : I do not have sugar cravings anymore. The only thing i still have is reduced orgasm sensation which comes and go. But as i discussed previously, this is because of uncontrolled excitotoxicity for many many years.
I seriously doubt that anyone in my situation (10 years in total of problems) can return fully to how things were. But you guys do not have to come to my situation. Act fast.
Regarding estrogen dominance : I donāt think this was the culprit at least to me. Iāve taken Arimidex in hope of proving this theory but i felt like shit when E2 went to low levels. My theory is that E2 is raised to us as a compensatory mechanism to deal with Oxidative Stress :
Remember that if you wish to follow the regimen you must abstain from Glutamate sources. This is very important or you will be shooting yourselves in the foot.
Now letās see about Curcumin :
It boosts testosterone levels : http://www.ergo-log.com/curcumin-boosts-testosterone-level.html
It is a mild anti-estrogen : http://www.ergo-log.com/curcumin-a-mild-anti-oestrogen.html
It induces Glutathione biosynthesis : http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15650394
Protects from oxidative stress and stops SOD from being depleted : http://www.qscience.com/doi/abs/10.5339/qfarf.2012.BMP17
It could potentially restore HPA Axis after PTSD : http://www.rainbow.coop/library/curcumin-and-the-effects-of-chronic-stress-on-behavior/
The list goes on. I am amazed as to what curcumin can do so its definitely worth a try.
Hi Andy, Iām honestly looking for an answer, iāve even asked @ phoenixrising, but i have no answer up until now.
I think its not to be used as much as I am using:
Brand: Anabol naturals
Dosage: 10.000mcg cut into 4 pieces, and I take one piece in the morning.
The first dosages (2 weeks) I fell asleep after taking it so I started taking it during my early morning insomnia. Now Iām taking it but not so easy to fall asleep again. On the other hand, I have not had sleep myoclonies in about 3-4 weeks (around when I started taking it).
I just tested homocysteine today and am waiting for results. Iāll be testing more things soon. I tested electrolytes as well and anothe haemogram. Iām waiting to make an insurance to test more things.
@Mario: Could you give us as well the brands and dosages of what you take? thanks a lot!
Three things Ive read about and Iād like to ask if you read it too:
- Curcumin: the absorption differs a lot between brands
- SOD: shouldnt directly supplement it for too long, but I dont quite remember why!
- Exercise should be very helpful to raise antioxidants and reduce ROS (when not done excessively and when done in certain conditions)
Yes this is true about Curcumin. As explained earlier in the post i am waiting to get Bio-Curcumin. BCM-95 method appears to be the most beneficial as opposed to Meriva method.
For now i use simple Turmeric taken every 8 hours as explained (with a little oil, dissolved in water as oily substances increase absorption)
Regarding SOD : It would be great if you can send any sources that state that it shouldnāt be used for too long. I read reviews from people that take it for many years and had no problems.
-Exercise : From what iāve read, you are right.
Dosages and Brands :
Solgar Magnesium Citrate : 200 mg per day
Solgar Folate : 800 mcg per day
NOW Foods selenium : 100 mcg per day
NOW Foods D3 5000 IU per day
NOW Foods Taurine (every 8 hours 500 mg)
Source Naturals GliSODin Power (every 8 hours 250 mg)
Ester-C PLUS Vitamin C (I split in half so i take 500 mg per day and take it at least 2 hours apart from Metafolin)
Sublingual Methylcobalamin 1000 mcg (once a week)
P-5-P 50 mg (once a week)
Vitamin K2 100 mcg (once a day but i dont take it if eat Greens)
I use simple turmeric for now but i ordered Bio-Curcumin by Life Extension.
UPDATE : A Really bad weather deterioration happened where i live during the night (Drop of 10 millibars in the past 10 hours). Under these circumstances i would have side effects and no morning wood or somewhat reduced. Nothing has affected me and morning wood was there just like every other morning.
Mario & Xptriado thanks for your responses.
Hereās an article I read on Turmeric themindunleashed.org/2014/06/sci ⦠drugs.html
Exercise: HIT seems the most medically beneficial exercise for our condition. I believe it can be done as a high cardio format or as a super slow weight training format. HIT increases HGH.

I think it was CD nuts who used sprinting (HIT) in his recovery protocol.
I attest on sprinting, i used to do it 3 times a week. Its vert good.
Now i fractured my meniscusā¦talk about bad luck!
Btw, if anyobe is interested ive done some more analysis to blood and will be doing some more.
Homocysteine is low! 4.95ā¦min is 5.0. Before i keep supplementibg i will have to do more exams as this value is exactly the opposite of whatbibwas expecting.
Im now trying to find turmeric to juiceā¦that cant be bad.
Hi Guys,
First of all, all is well. I have no side effects whatsoever.
Some things i wanted to discuss/recap :
You will recall that most of us feel better when they have a virus infection. Initially i believed that this happens because NO levels are increased during infection. However in looking things with a new perspective it appears to me that this happens because Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) are used up during a virus infection and since they are being used up, they are not eligible to create oxidative stress.
Something happened and we cannot control the Oxidative stress which runs wild in our bodies. I now feel that all of our problems (HPA Axis disregulation, neurological sides, Insomnia, etc) are because of this. Droit was right in the sense that he was the first to discuss oxidative stress as the main culprit however i feel that for most of us, Methylation did not bring the wanted results. So something more had to happen.
And the required action -IMHO- is to control oxidative stress and Glutamate intake as much as possible not just with Methylation protocol. If you are doing the methylation protocol and you see no further improvement then act fast because excitotoxicity and oxidative stress damages important body functions. If the damage becomes widespread i feel that this cannot be reversed.
For obvious reasons I am trying to come up with the absolute minimum supplements needed to keep my body happy.
So far, Glisodin (essentially Superoxide Dismutase), Curcumin and Taurine were able to fully suppress my symptoms.
I just received MitoQ from New Zealand. This stuff is very expensive but i am willing to try it. During the week i will have another round of blood tests to check my Thyroid function, Cholesterol, Creatinine and Testosterone levels.
I believe all will be well with a question mark regarding my Thyroid function. I will let you Guys know as soon as i have the results.
Save the changing parts of your protocol, do you feel that everyone should do this list to a T right from the get go, or do methylation etc first then move into this (just like you did)?
Iām asking because this is quite a lot less supplements & completely different list of supplements than in methylation protocol.
Also, that a 10 year sufferer can beat his symptons like this⦠itās super encouraging!! Way to go mariovitali!
I am not suggesting that all supplements must be used to a T so you must record your symptoms and how you feel and adjust supplements accordingly. Here is a breakdown on how supplements worked for me:
Absolutely Necessary : MSG Avoidance, DHT Inhibitor Avoidance, Antioxidant Support (Curcumin, Glisodin), Excitotoxicity Control (Taurine)
Necessary if you have impaired Methylation function (i.e MTHFR, BHMT, VDR, COMT mutations exist) : Metafolin, Methylcobalamin or Dibencozide B12, Vitamin C, P5P
Possibly Beneficial : Selenium (due to its role for SOD Production), Magnesium, D3, Ubiquinol, Pycnogenol, ALCAR, GPLC, Vitamin K2
I will try MitoQ (which could be very beneficial for us) over the next couple of weeks and update.
I just got my blood results.
Creatinine : 1.4 (0.7 - 1.2 mg/dl)
TSH : 5.2 (0.3 - 4.5 μIU/ml)
Interestingly, despite the fact that i am slightly hypothyroid, i feel no side effects.
Of course what concerns me most is Creatinine. I already booked to see my Doctor on what i can do about Creatinine and a second problem is that Spinach is not good for Creatinine. It is also possible that because i am slightly hypothyroid Creatinine is high but i will continue to eat Spinach. From the research iāve done, it appears that raw spinach is better than boiled/steamed Spinach for kidney function. My kidney function was always problematic (to the highest normal levels 1.2 mg/dl) and i have no idea what caused this. Perhaps orthostatic intolerance and the changes to blood pressure throughout the day somewhat damaged my kidneys. This is pure speculation though and i will have to ask a doctor for this hypothesis.
So, I will probably have to go back to Thyroid medication. Perhaps from all of these years my Thyroid has been affected permanently.
Next week i will have more thorough blood tests including Free Testosterone, LDL/HDL, etc.
Great feedback Mario thanks for the update.

Anyone tried curcumin and taurine and had similar benefits as Mario?
Some feedback would be useful.
Mario, have you considered Glutathione IV while taking the methylation supplements?
I couldbt find any extract for dolichol ornwhat seems to be itd precursor dehydrodolichyl diphosphate.
I cant find either a dolichol per food chart.
It seems gingko also has it.
Im wondering if we could juice the spinach and get the same benfit. I juiced it for around 7days everyday but saw nothing.
What could be a reason for elevation of creatine and tsh. Maybe it possible to counter those and leave us just with the benefits of dolicholā¦

Im wondering if we could juice the spinach and get the same benfit. I juiced it for around 7days everyday but saw nothing.
I donāt see any issues with juicing, it seems a good way to take a lot of veggies. I watched a really good documentary on juicing called Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead. As of today Iām back trying spinach, Iāll take 50g per day with the current protocol, I havenāt done the two together before. The guy who said he got better with Spinach used 170g per day and for 1 month minimum, Iām not sure why he chose that amount, but juicing 170 grams would obviously be much easier and convenient for us all to do.
With my juicer, the spinach gets stuck in the grinder and it produces almost no juice, but maybe it works better with other models.
Yeah i saw those 170gā¦it seems quite a lot. Id mo itor creatinine and tsh ā¦
From what i understood its a negative feedback system. This would be when everything is in place again we could stop taking it ?
Hey Guys,
It might be the case that Finasteride left me with some permanent damage. The only thing that worries me is Creatinine. I highly doubt that elevated creatinine occurred from Spinach.
Anyway i will visit a Pathologist today and i will show him everything about Finasteride, SRD5A3, etc and convince him to have him check my kidneys, testosterone, cholesterol, thyroid, prostate etc
PS : Iād suggest you eat spinach for at least 15 days. I have been eating my greens (including Spinach) for more than a month
how could i check the nitric oxide level in my body?
