Testosterone Low normal 300 range, in one occasion 280, another occasion 115 because I was using testosterone gel for nearly 2 months and I stop it, the rest of the hormone test and lips parameters where normal except in 2008 my fasting glucose was in 109, the same doctor told that prescribe me Propecia told me that I was Pre-diabetic.

Anything not listed in the above questions you’d like to share about your experience?

Tell us your story, in your own words, about your usage and side effects experienced while on/off the drug.
I took the drug in 2006 ( January to November ) for a total of 11 months, while on Propecia I noted a just a little bit drop in libido, but not big deal.
When I come off the drug, between 2008 and 2009 I started with insomnia, and also I noted weak erections but libido was normal, but I handle to have sex with not problem, the big crash came later in 2012, with total lose of libido, total impotent, no able to reach an orgasm, depression, anxiety and panic attack, the situation remained pretty much stable between ( 2013, 2014, 2015), stable but for sure 2014 and 2015 were just title bit better than 2012 and 2013,because the improvement were so little at the beginning of 2016 I was so frustrated that I wanted to die, seriously, the only thing that keep me to no do it was my newborn daughter, fortunately I started having improvements since then until today, I am feeling 90-100 % recovered to Pre-Finasteride state.

Sexual side.

1- Libido had been up and down, still no so high as before but I consider it pretty much normal to the high side today ( 4/26/2019).
2- Erection like never before, pretty hard and lasting for an hour or more if I want it while watch porn ( I am very satisfied ).
3- Able to have erection with just thinking.
4- Morning erection and nocturnal erections are back, ( every day ).
5- Penis sensitivity is back pretty good.
6- Ejaculation volume no like Pre-finasteride but I am pretty satisfied.
7- Erotic Dreams are also back, ( but not every every ).
9- Ejaculation very pleasurable.

Physical

8- No penis shrinkage noticed at the moment foreskin normal, I remember that the back in 2009 I was considering to remove my foreskin because was bother me. ( it should be due a penis shrinkage )
9- Laterals calf hair loss no improvement in this aspect
10- My beard is growing quickly than before, no more hairless patchy in my beard noticed.
11- No muscle loss noticed
12- No Gynecomastia never noticed.
13- Yes I noticed testicular shrinkage when I touched had a soft filling, I had a varicosele and I went to a surgery to repair it in 2013, Now my testicle regained size and solid feeling.

Neurological

1- Insomnia a lot better, I can sleep for around 6 hours every night sometimes 7 hours, I wake up with erections with desire to pee every nigh, (Pre-finasteride I always wake up to pee in middle of the night, but I always sleep for 8 hours at least everyday ).
It have been some days that I sleep 5 hours.
No medication need it for sleep ( I use a eyes mask and rain sound amplified to mask background noises )
2- Phantom smell remain come and goes.
3- No anxiety
4- No depression
5- No anhedonia
6- Good motivation and Happy.

Overal recovered ( 90 -100 ) %

I just want to report that I am getting better and better over the time, please do not get desperate, I know that you all are going to get better also over the time. believe me.

I love the positivity of this, thank you so much. It’s encouraging.

Thanks for this post. I’m a firm believer that time heals all things and/or clarifies symptoms.

But guys, you need to understand that the progression of the recovery is very slow and with a lot of ups and downs, when better are you felling then the crash come, and then you get frustrated with no hope, then you recover again and more strong than before, some times you don’t note the difference but yes you are getting better.
Note: The crash it is part of the recovery, Not crash = No recovery.

when I wait and abstain myself from any supplements/meds I don’t get better. I stay where I am. When I come back to experimenting with meds/supplements I see changes all the time. Doing nothing doesn’t get me anywhere. I don’t believe in self recovery of this condition. Something has to trigger the recovery to reverse the damage was done.

What about your vision?

This must vary from person to person. Time wasn’t healing me by any means, at least the sexual and neurological aspects, but when I started messing around with treatments is when I began getting worse.

I think that we need to give chance to our body to stabilize, while we are putting drugs to our body it create a new body reaction an new adjustment, in reality I get better when I started doing fasting.

If you want I can give you some tips that maybe can help you out.

In your experience were fasting and crashing linked? Or did they both help independently?

In my experience, with every recovery a crash follow, then when I came out of the crash I get recovered but I fell a little better than before, and then anther crash follow and I get recovered again a little better than before…it is like that.

This is my view about fasting:

Every thing that we eat belive it or not have a DHT blocker, Banana, Apples, Berries, nuts, eggs, beef, pork, turkey, chicken, fish …I laugh because somebody made a Joke : You know what water block DHT…lol
B2, Omega-6, polyphenols are DHT blokers… of course everything is dosage dependent.

The think is that we constantly are putting something in our system and the body have very little time to re-adapt, every drug, supplement that you give to your body, your system will going to process and will react to what we eat…

Fasting have also others benefices like Autophagy, low inflamation, promote neurogenesis and many others benefices, give a break to your body to readjust.

I am interested in some tips, please.

What was your fasting protocol like Moonchild?
Was your diet strict?
Thanks

#1- I will say that taking care of anxiety, I recommend Bupropion from 8-12 weeks.
#2- Fasting.
#3- Moderated exercise ( Running, boost Neurogenesis )
#4- Avoid Alcohol & Caffeine.

Healthy diet don’t know what to say about this topic because it is too complex
I would avoid food that are heavily DHT inhibitor ( There are many, I recommend research on-line before to eat any food or supplement ).
I think Tribulus can help, even though It wasn’t in my protocol I would recommend it.

#5- Be patient. ( It will not happen overnight ).

Any idea why you were consistently crashing?

I crashed severals time and also I get better several time, No idea why.
I remember that while I was fasting I improve a lot, I remember every time that stop doing fasting for extended period of time I have a crash, but I get well again.
Over the time the crashes lasted less and also were no so bad.
Note: I am not currently doing fasting.

Well, it happen to me that I started taking all kinds of supplements and I didn’t get any better, still the same, no charges…
I stopped taking it and started fasting that I really believe that is the only thing that help me out.

Heavy weights help me. I feel about 90% today after heavy bench workout and kickboxing

-Morning wood (usually only have nocturnals or nothing)
-Libido in morning (usually erection and arousal are forced, this time it was more passive, maybe 70% of vintage times)
-Mood pretty good

I have a journal that goes back two years and have noted on numerous occasions stronger erections and better libido after squats

On the point above …

There is a thread “Name three things that have helped you the most”

I tallied the responses and out of the 19 respondents, exercise received 12 mentions. This is by far the most, as I don’t think anything else received more than 3 mentions

I agree with you,I would say that keep simple in my opinion is the best way to address the PFS situation.
Depending on every particular case.

1- If stressed, very anxious and depressed I definitively I would recommend Bupropion, ( for 8 -12 weeks and tape off slowly ) I do NOT do it a cold turkey.
2- Regular fasting very important
3-Exerciser
4-Avoid any type of drugs.( including sleeping pills)
5-Avoid food that are portent 5ARI
