A long-term PFS sufferer says he is cured from the disease after undergoing this protocol

I wish you the best of luck in the coming weeks ahead.

I’m excited to be starting next week.

Thanks for the updates NewYorker, this protocol seems promising

I’m not entirely sure hCG behaves exactly like Clomid, but assume a tolerance can also be formed. The 250iu administration of hCG every other day is relatively low when compared to how it’s usually given, and may be enough to get us “normal”. Hopefully, I’ll have real progress to report in a couple of months.

Could you share the link of that thread please?

Hcg is very different from clomid. My point was that I don’t think hcg is usually used for very long. But if it worked it worked

I believe linking to other forums isn’t allowed so he can’t provide the link. A quick google search for ‘joe kool ray peat forum’ will bring you to the thread.

Sorry for the late reply. So, my last skype visit with Dr. Bruhin - we discussed PFS at great lengths. We talked treatments, what has worked, what hasn’t. According to him, he has had PFS for over 10 years. He told me that he tried Testosterone Cyproiontate and it made him feel “dreadful.” He also used Clomid and if i recall correctly it didn’t do much of anything for him long term. I mentioned Cialis being the one thing that has truly helped me over the years and he agreed. However, he is currently, from my understanding, still injecting himself with HCG(every other day I believe) and also using some sort of either testosterone or DHT cream on his chest after showers every day. He said that HCG was “the treatment that provided a foundation” for his recovery. I do not consider him cured based off our conversation. It sounds like its simply management - but maybe I’m wrong. However, I do not know the dosages, the frequency(not sure if its legit every other day for HCG or what the regimen is, i plan on making a new appointment with him soon to ask these kinds of questions.)

Furthermore, I have recently found a new PA, yes, a freaking PA, not a doctor. Though, since even the best doctors in the world don’t seem to have the answer, that’s not what I was searching for. I was searching for someone to prescribe legitimate HCG as it seems to be one of the few common denominators when talking about PFS recovery. We talked about my issues and he said he wanted me to go on Clomid for 2 months and then re-evaluate. Well, 3 years ago when I was at my worst during PFS, my urologist on my first visit offered Clomid. After reading/researching about it I decided i wanted to try to recover naturally. This has worked in certain areas - but something is CLEARLY still very wrong in my body.

Mentally I feel nearly as sharp as I did pre-pfs (still have issues with recalling words for some reason?) My sexual issues are by far, the most obvious and telling sign of the current state of my health. I am almost always able to get an erection with physical stimulation with the caveat that I am still taking Cialis 5mg every other day at the same time every day. About a month ago I tried to go a few weeks without cialis - what I learned was that after around 5-6 days of not having Cialis in my system, I was barely able to achieve an erection, and barely was able to maintain it. This is not a problem of an otherwise healthy 29 year old male. Also, even with cialis to this day, I often wake up with zero erections, almost never have spontaneous erections, still have occasional penile pain, often have watery semen, have diminished sensation in my genitals, a longer refractory period, am often very fatigued and unmotivated - despite eating better than 95% of Americans and hitting the gym/playing tennis/generally staying active the majority of the week. In addition, I have been getting bloodwork since PFS over 3 years ago and I have went from the 550’s to below 350.

As many here have tried Clomid and I don’t recall a single person who has seen long-term benefits, I told this to my newly found PA, and he is willing thank god, to skip Clomid and go right to HCG - with the caveat that he needs fresh bloodwork done - in his office. That’s fine by me. So - now i have a legimate source for something I have for a long time been curious about. I am hesitant to try any drugs for the rest of my life for obvious reasons. However, I am also hesitant to continue to live my current diminished-in-quality life as it truly is a shit show.

Probably rambled a bit here hopefully someone can draw me back in. Basically, to answer your question - Dr. Bruhin seemed to strongly recommend HCG. I do not know his dosage or frequency but I called his office yesterday and today with no response (I’m east coast - he is west coast.) so once I get an appointment I’ll come back here to relay some more detailed information, hopefully.

Do you have any idea about Clomid+ HCG? So hcg increases T and therefore aromatization of Estrogen, so clomid is an aromatese inhibitor and can control the E while our body increase T via LH (HCG)? Any thoughts on this protocol, i also going to lift weights. @trav

Clomid is a SERM, HCG is not.

I strongly recommend you to watch this video, it’s the best explenation I found:

Think it’s fair to say that at the same time I took clomid as part of PCT I had sleep and mental improvements which seem to have held.

Anecdotally I also read from bb.com a guy who got what didn’t seem to be the “full blown” PFS and was cured with clomid.

Also also @FuckedNoMore used clomid in his PCT and was fairly convinced that cured him or played a major part.

Just in case that’s any use.

I’m now about 22-23 injections in, but just yesterday had shoulder surgery. I’m not sure what the pain killer and other meds will do, but I’m continuing with the hCG. I will report my testicles and scrotum are beginning to feel more normal again, and was able to achieve a semi erection on its own when viewing porn.

Unfortunately, the hospital shaved one side of my chest hair, which had only just started to grow back. Last time this happened, for an emergency appendectomy, it took well over a year to grow back.

I’m also up at least 7 pounds since starting hCG, and it’s not all around the belly. I’m still emotionally feeling better, and hope it’s more than just my hope that this will work.

Man, I am rooting for you. I found a doctor willing to prescribe HCG monotherapy and I am heavily debating taking this route(lower dosage - longer duration.) Hearing a long time sufferer like you have ANY reports of relief is an amazing feeling. Look forward to hearing more as time progresses. It sure would be nice to stop living this fucking nightmare.

Please follow the joekool 250iu 3 injections a week, and let’s see what happens. I’d really like to see how others do. I’m surprised hardly anyone is trying it.

Really looking forward to seeing any positive results you might have!

I might hop on in the future when I find a doc willing to do this with me.

Im not surprised at all. It takes a lot of gut to go to a doctor and convince him to give you some form of therapy that is pretty weird and not convincing. Its like going to a pharmacy and ask for 10 mg of paracetamol for your Migraine every other day.Not many would comply and most will think you are crazy.

True a lot of them don’t even acknowledge that PFS exists and still believe Merck’s lies.

Hey man i’m following your progresses and i’m thrilled for you, i’m going to start the HcG protocol soon.
What was your weight before starting the injections?
Did you have gut issues?
Have you cycled DHT compounds like Proviron or r-Andro in the past?

Thank you. I was about 190lbs when I started (I’m 5’ 11"). I had gut issues, and to a degree, still do. While this may be to much information, I usually have softer stools, which require multiple wipes.

I had tried Proviron for about 6 weeks, a year and a half ago. I “felt” some improvements on it, but I also took up running again at that time. I quit proviron because my legs started swelling. I’m not certain if there was any relation to the proviron, but I stopped it.

Looks like I am finalizing things with my doc now. He initially prescribed me 500IU EOD. Obviously, the protocol we were discussing is half that dosage. Is it really necessary to follow all of Joekools steps (diluting it with anti-bacterial water, ect?) Wouldn’t you just be able to half the dosage directly? I would prefer to take the same route as you guys.

For me, the short answer was yes, I just used half the dosage with the hCG vial I first received, which was already diluted by the doctor. The second was given dry, and was instructed to add 5cc of that liquid to mix it. Those 5cc added result in 20 or so doses of 250iu hCG, which I am taking 3 times a week.

Once it’s mixed, it has to be refrigerated, and is good for about 30 days or so. Please be extra careful with injections and keep everything clean. There are lots of instructions for injections online, and I referred to only pharmaceutical sites for those.

With about 2 months in, I’m seeing some minor improvements, with mood, erections, sleep, and body, but really really getting eager and hoping and praying to God they continue and I will not be disappointed again.

Improvements are slow, and slower when we wait for them, but it’s not like there are any other options that are quicker.

I’m curious how long and how often your doctor prescribed the 500iu hCG injections. Mine originally told me 2 times a week, but as I mentioned, I’m doing 3x 250iu, as per JoeKool.
