Anything not listed in the above questions you’d like to share about your experience?

Tell us your story, in your own words, about your usage and side effects experienced while on/off the drug.

I took propecia when I was 21 years old my semen became watery but I did not think much of it then I lost sensation of orgasm and immediately quite the drug. I had loss my libido and my genitals went numb and erections were weak and could only be created by stimulation. I ended up going to Dr. Shippen as well as servers other doctors along the way tried several medications and therapy with no luck. 13 years later this is where I’m at my genitals have more feeling I can have sex my erections are at least firm enough for that my libido is stronger my mood is a lot better but the thorn in my side is no sensation if orgasm no matter what I try. Some things that worked for me are as follows: Boron 9mg a day did help erections but be sure to take a week off every two weeks, also my mood, libido and erections improved as my mood got better, stress and anxiety can make things a whole lot worse. I improved my mood by not letting PFS consume my life, playing music, and just living life and I warn people on this forum, although this forum can be helpful don’t spend every waking minute on here it can increase anxiety at least it did for me.

Testosterone and dht levels are low again, I guess I have to take meds for life now. Taking clomid, anastrazole, cabergoline and cialus.
Cialus gave me morning and spontaneous erections again and the other drugs get my hormones back to normal but won’t get rid of side effects. It’s weird it tanked my hormones 15 years later taking no other medication. Watch out for this

Just so you know these meds are not safe, especially long term.

If you want higher testosterone, only good way is TRT.

Clomid may not be working sufficiently to raise testosterone levels in this case, but I don’t think there’s much evidence of it being unsafe for the treatment of hypogonadism in general – for support, see this meta-analysis from a quick search on PubMed.

Irrespective of safety, I don’t think anyone here has reported strong positive results from cabergoline.

I went with clomid because it’s less side effects than trt. TRT can cause heart attacks and blood clots

What does your endocrinologist say now?

If my total testosterone was below 300 (as you have said in the past), I would either follow my endo’s advice or find a new one should that fail. Better to have PFS alone than PFS and hypogonadism combined.

Keep in mind that the body of knowledge required to guide your treatment based on what happened with finasteride 15 years ago simply does not exist yet. All any doctor can do is treat your symptoms as they present today.

Hypogonadism can be nasty, I tried clomiphene but switched to trt treatment Tlando
