Personally I dont buy into the notion about harvesting the stems and leaves only for purity, I think that protodioscin is protodioscin. I think the thing that might be causing people to crash is simply that the tribulus they are using might be too potent for the density of their androgen receptors. I mean of course there are good brands and bad brands of tribulus out there, but I dont think that mediherb is the best brand of tribulus out there. It feels really weak to me and like I said, this is completely consistent with its labeling as well. It only has approximately 250 mg of tribulus plant matter and 100 mg of protodioscin, this is a pretty small amount compared to other brands of tribulus on the market.
I’ve only been doing this protocol for two weeks, its too early to say. All I can say at this point is that I don’t feel anything from the mediherb brand (when I take three tablets of it I think I can feel something but its subtle), but I can definitely feel just one pill of the tribX90 brand.
Like I said though, I suspect that ultimately all of this comes down to individual androgen receptor density. In the past before I discovered the utility of soy for downregulating the androgen receptors I was very sensitive to tribulus supplements, I could take just 1/4 of a pill and that would be plenty to give me a good effect, if I took the whole pill then it would worsen my PFS symptoms, however after taking soy (and downregulating my androgen receptors) I can now take an entire pill of tribulus (or even three pills) and feel fine. I think people that respond poorly to tribulus probably just have too much androgen receptor upregulation.
