This seems very plausible. I’m surprised this didn’t get more of a response. People are having symptoms and being diagnosed hypothyroid after taking a drug that mutilated their prostates here. This seems to shed light on a cause. I think its facinating how medicine knows so little about the prostate.
As the days go by, I’m getting better and better and better. Full erections now. Morning erections, nocturnal erections. Acne returning R side of neck like pre fin when I was 21. Ejaculate much healthier. Head is itchy. I grew my hair for a few days, and ran my hand over my head; lots of tiny hairs on my hands. My head hair is seemingly falling out again.
Much leaner. Much more energy!! (My T level is normal).
I am a different person. My mood is stable and constant. Not taking a DHT (which could sometimes make me slightly euphoric) and I think I have a few small steps to go re, mood, but I now have nice, stable moods. My girlfriend is shocked by my progress. I am in unprecedented territory and I keep getting better and better.
I did my body temperature at work and it is still quite low, however. 36 degrees maximum. Maybe an increase in temperature comes a later.
I still have progress to make. Libido not fully returned.
Looks like my 10 year shit was due to high reverse T3 levels. I wish someone had told me this 10 years ago. Wow, do I wish this.
Yes, T was never a problem for me. My T is probably very similar to what it was pre-messing around with various treatments. I guess I could come off HRT in the future, and possibly T3 once all the reverse T3 is properly cleared from my system.
I don’t rue my actions, however. I needed supraphysiological doses of T to keep me alive for so many years.
No, they were not. Not one reading could have been described as ‘low’. In fact, every single reading was ‘high normal’, without exception. I did, however, have one FREE T reading in the lower third of the normal range, which was possibly due to high SHBG.
'Shit man, I’ve answered that shit a million times!!
I never actually got Free T tested (my lab didn’t test
it) but testosterone was 14 range (9.0 to 37.0) -very
low.
Also SHBG 39 range (9 to 40) -HIGH, so all my
testosterone is getting bound up.
Oestradiol high ish as well 81 range (0-130)
I’ve gone back to baseline the last couple of days
unfortunately. I reckon that my initial surge of
testosterone has been converted to oestrogen by the
aromatase pathway, so I am adding Arimidex and nettle
extract and Super Mira Forte to lower lower oestrogen
and inhibit aromatase pathway respectiveley.
I reckon it is time soon that we all update our
status, saying what we have tried, our hormone tests
and what doctors we have seen.
About time we heard from Mehruf as well!
Can we get our reports in within a week??? I will do
the same when I have time.
I am planning to travel to the States to see Dr.
Eugene Shippen.’
Not trying to be a smart ass or post-fin geek, you probably just forgot it was so long ago.
It’s worth pointing out that ‘Mitch’ had low T levels as well as thyroid trouble, yet recovered only by treating the latter.
His ed issues weren’t as strong as many of ours though.
You prove me totally incorrect; I am sorry.
I do remember one low sample but I discarded it as it was taken at midnight by my medical student buddy. Other values in and around that time were ‘high’ on morning samples, so much so, that I had to lie to Dr Crisler about the normal range of T such that he would treat me with testosterone. (I’m glad I did).
Anyway, I guess the point is that low T was never the cause of any problems. But thanks for enlightening me!
This is exactly what I’m taking Armour and D3 (25,000iu) only. My mental state is fantastic. I have been getting wood in the middle of every night. I had to get up early this morning at 4:30 and had wood. Not perfectly hard, but 2 weeks ago I had nothing. So, things are cetainly moving in the right direction.
This is very intersting subtopic, that I have posted on other threads before regarding wether our T levels could just rise on their own naturally, once the thyroid hormones get back to normal. I have visited a couple of the thyroid Message boards and a few of the men there have told me this was the case for them, that their T levels came back over time.
I just want to know that this is improving. Another issue for many of us is the low IGF-1 levels. We have already proven a link here as well. We could also see improvement with this one over time as well.
I will be getting another blood test done in about a week. It will show my levels 3.5 weeks before thyroid treatment. This should be interesting for all of us. I’ll post it on my thread.
I am sure thyroid and Vit D3 will be our best treatment.Maybe thyroid is our only missing link. I took SP and now I have low FT4 although my TSH is .65
