Lennon, have you been taking it consistently?
Oral nystatin? Where are you getting this information from?
yes, everyday for about a month with about one day off in between refills … nice little boost from time to time … the trick will be getting ym doc to keep writing scripts for it, especially since i am taking twice the amount he prescribed.
Awor said it was possible that Nystatin helped IHP because of epigenetic effects. I’m not positive that it does, thats why I said possible.
Lennon, how did you get your doc to prescribe it to you? Did you say you have candida infection or what?
I was looking forward to reading some of the “if I hadn’t taken fin” posts.
Answering the question does not negate in any way the research going on.
Fact is, fin has taken months/years from our lives which we wont get back.
Why? It’d just be depressing shit
he prescribed it because i told him the whole propecia story (took some convincing) and i told him some people had good results from nystatin. he was willing to let me try this, but, low dose naltrexone for example, he was not on board with. like i said, the real trick will be when it comes time to ask him for a very long term amount and the fact i am taking double what he told me to.
it is an interesting question… what if?
for me, i would still be all hung up with my hair loss, not truly appreciating my life, taking things for granted, treating sex like my right and not a wonderful privelage, basically just floating by like your typical young guy… and i would take all of that in a heart beat as oppossed to this unimaginable hell. either way, win, lose, or draw, i have learned an amazing lesson and if i am given a second chance at life, i will never take anything for granted again, not for once second, i swear this to god
I’ll answer that first by saying what has improved.
My depression has gotten better to the point I can deal with it now. My anxiety is pretty much gone. My sleep is good now in the sense that I can sleep 7-8 hours at a time on most nights but I still don’t feel rested when I wake up and often wake up with a lot of pain in my body and scrotum/penis. I do now get morning erections a few times a week. (I had way over the top cortisol when I came off finasteride.) I can get erections better now as opposed to not at all when I first came off, and some feeling has returned.
My current side effects are: Zero libido except maybe 3-4 days in the past year I felt “some” sex drive, erectile dysfunction (I can get it up without cialis, but I have a hard time maintaining it.) Reduced sensitivity. Reduced fertility (had it tested) Shrunken testicles and scrotum, my penis is shrunk when its flaccid compared with its previous flaccid size, penis is less “full” all the time, testicular pain, reduced ejaculate, mild depression, obvious sleep issues, lack of motivation (I rarely feel like doing anything at all.)… What else… some of the lesser mentioned side effects… I don’t have normal bowl movements anymore I hate to be so descript but its more like… goo everytime I go now, liver pain, hemmroids (I barely ever drink anymore), oh yeah and here’s a weird one I have almost no hair at all on my ankles but the rest of my legs are still hairy as ever.
I can see it being an issue seeing as Merck probably contributes money to many political compaigns. I am sure this will be addressed thou.
I still don’t get when that first study is going to be published. This year? Next year?
Remember when [edit: Rick] Perry wanted to make a law that would force all girls to get vaccinated? Guess who was behind that?
And why is the CEO of Merck heading the legal defense team on Penn State?
Naw, was expecting a little levity on the forum. No such luck. We’re a joyless group. That’s the depressing thing!
You mean Rick Perry.
Brain fog.
I know I fall into the latter group, but its hard not to. I majored in molecular biology and took a lot of heavy science courses and I’m still trying to understand what’s happened to us.
For example, there could be inflammation of the prostate that is causing inflammation of the nerves surround the prostate which can effect the way our dicks feel, cause ED etc.
I need to tell you my experience regarding inflammation. I have allergies and acid reflux disease. Sometimes because of an allergic crisis or because of inflammation of the throat caused by the reflux, i have to take prednisone, which fights inflammation. Last december, i pretty much thought sex was done for me. The consistence of my penis was harder than usual when flacid, erections were almost absent, and libido was zero. I had had a bad reflux episode and my throat was very inflammed. The doctor told me I HAD to take prednisone and i took it for five days. In the first days my body felt very accelarated, like a hiperthyroidism episode. I felt a lot of energy, little sleep, sharper thinking, etc. But the remarkable thing is that my penis returned to the normal state when flacid, my libido went to the roof, and i was feeling very horny. It s been three months since that, and i ve had the best months since i took finasteride. I had perfect, normal, horny sex, with strong ejaculation in volume and force. Rock hard erections in any position, perfect orgasms that had a lasting effect and made me feel relaxed all day. I was craving sex everyday. Unfortunately the effect did not last for good. I am not feeling the same way anymore (which is very hard to deal with, this feeling of loss).
The way i see it is that the accelaration of the metabolism caused by the steroids “charged” my body, built the substances i was lacking, and the inflammatory action of the medicine improved my prostate. I think inflammation is part of the problem, and the prostate becomes inflamed because despite lacking DHT or 3 adiol G we keep masturbating/ having sex. Another part of the problem in my point of view is a lack of dopamine. I believe we dont build dopamine as fast as we used to. Specially after we ejaculate. I immediatelly feel worse everytime i ejaculate (except these last three months). There is also some damage to the liver as i see it, because i do not process many medications as i used to. My immune system has been affected too, as i have so many allergies now. I was able to overcome these for three months, but unfortunatelly it doesnt last. And it takes a lot of work and discipline to get to this state.

Yes, me too. Can you please offer up some more details. Do you feel that the effects of drugs are now over or under pronounced ? If anyone has noted this, please answer in any of the liver threads.
This thread devolved into another theory thread complete with candida and nystatin. The initial post of this thread states:
The official, sad if I hadn’t taken fin thread is here. Tell us where’d you be, how much pussy you’ve missed out on, how much money it cost you, how many jobs it cost you.
Keep the threads on topic.
