THANK GOD, FINALLY RECOVERED!!!! PLEASE READ

Hello everybody, I am very happy to make this post and say that I have recovered from the side effects of propecia. Here are the details of my story as follows:

I took propecia for only 8 days, and on the 7th day my penis went completely numb in that I could not even feel it. I was absolutely freaking out, however not enough since I ended up taking one more pill the following day before quitting the drug. I was amazed at how messed up my system was after just taking this drug for 8 days, and my symptoms are as follows:

  • Numb penis
  • Absolutely NO sex drive whatsoever (Not low, nothing at all)
  • Weak erections
  • Constant pain in testicular region
  • Low energy levels

Needless to say, I was very scared and felt as if there was nothing I could do about it. My penis literally felt as if it was dead most of the time, and I had this awful pain in my testicles that was just terrible. It took approximately 7 weeks before these side effects subsided, and I felt like everything was working properly down there. The most positive signal for me, was there being no more testicular pain. Once that stopped, things went back online within a couple of days.

In any case, I just want to say that imagine it took nearly 2 months for me to go back to normal with just being the drug for 8 days, so don’t lose hope. I actually did not change my routine at all (Sleeping, eating etc.) to accomodate my side effects, the most important ingredient was time. Take care of your bodies, and remember that hair transplantation is the safest and most effective way (Although not cost effective) to treat your hair loss.

Glad you recovered, but this is normal - 2 months or so - to recover.

happy to hear. since took only for 8 days that did not cause any gene / 5 AR damage.
Now enjoy ur life and don’t make the same mistake ever.

From what you wrote, you haven’t had any “short lived recovery” after you stopped, right?
On the other hand, I took it for 4 days, had a short recovery, followed by a big crash (then another recovery and another crash), but haven’t recovered at all after several months.

I’m wondering if there is any advantage in taking few pills and if not having the short lived recovery is a good thing.

By that calculation it will take me 304 years to recover from propecia. I dont recommend hair transplantation at all. The best way to combat hair loss is to accept it and live with it. Thanks for the post heretohelp im glad you are better!

It’s great that you were able to recover, but using the pill for 8 days does not compare to Years. Unfortunately, your routine is of little help to the vast majority of men on this forum.

This user sounds like he recovered naturally, nothing more (relied on time – 2 months after taking 8 pills).

Unfortunately, most men here did not recover naturally, and these types of posts (devoid of any method other than time) serve little use to those suffering longterm problems from the drug. Either way, glad your situation worked out, and wish you well.

I think this section should be erase of normal recoveries, mind you it might only leave about five left.

I agree… and thats the sad part… I kinda knew my fate when I only saw 2 pages of recoveries…which confuses me always bc crisler says he has a 50% success rate…Perhaps most sufferers dont use this forum?

actually most guys here recover and never post about it I would say 80% of the users r inactive here cause they recovered and have no need to come back.

Really? And you know this how?

If you had permanent side effects and recovered, I’d bet you’d want to share your experience. Fact is, there are guys who have not recovered for years after quitting the drug – that’s what this forum is about, and who it is meant for.

If thats the case, wouldn’t u think that they would come back and see if someone found a cure. The fact is if ur not coming back u r most likely cured.

After suffering for many years either they accept it and stop coming on the forum or they are on TRT for life. Here are couple of guys who went on TRT, never posted again. Even to my pms they r mute.

Not to introduce even more pessimism into this forum… but some may be actually dead

I’ve been suffering for 8 years now…I was part of the original sufferers in 2002-2003 on yahoo group. After 2005, I gave up and stop coming to the forums…Pretty much gave up on life too…at the time…

So, yes, I do believe there are individuals who have just “given” up and stop coming to these forums and are still sick.

I recently came back to the forum januarary 2009 and have been posting since…

Jesus christ, chill out. This forums shouldn’t just be for the long time sufferers, anyone having problems at all should be able to make posts and ask about there problems.

joe - your not really the owner of this forum, so its not your call.

in addition, its annoying to persistently see people come on here and say “guess what? i got over it in two weeks! im out fucking like crazy again!” it is basically a slap in the face to us who have been enduring the effects for months/years. Half of those people didnt even bother to read the faq which explains they would most likely be fine in two weeks anyway.

I took Propecia for 3 months, and I am partally recovered since it’s been 21 days off the drug. How much time should I need?

Anywhere between 1 day and unresolved

Constant pain in the testicles is a textbook symptom of copper detoxification.
