Success Stories Compilation

If I look at the successful recovery stories, then the root cause of all PFS symptoms seems to be in the gut. It could be that finasteride has severely damaged the intestinal mucosa (gut lining). This is also called as Leaky Gut Syndrome. Unfortunately, this is very hard to detect for specialist doctors.

In order for the intestinal mucosa to heal, the entire digestive tract must first calm down.
This would mean that fasting or consuming as little food as possible would be most successful in the long term. In addition, the diet should be based on an AIP diet. A carnivore diet or a paleo diet is basically a AIP diet. This also make sense why supplements are not very useful for the healing.

I don’t know about all of what you said, but I did carnivore diet early on which is when I saw my first improvements from my rock bottom state. It was enough to convince me to keep going on it. No idea if it had anything to do with my recovery, but it’s possible.

Just wanted to point it out.

The carnivore diet certainly contributes greatly to making you feel better by eliminating all potential triggers of an autoimmune reaction.
Even small amounts of gluten, grains, nuts, seeds, refined sugar, processed oils, alcohol, and coffee etc. can cause problems if the intestinal mucosa is inflamed.

In my case, I’ve only had positive experiences with a meat-based diet. The only negative effect is on my sleep. However, I can solve this problem with low doses of benzodiazepines. I feel best when fasting on bone broth or regularly eating meat stew.
