Success Stories Compilation

Bump, Any more recovery stories?
Did anyone return to 100% pre-PFS state sexually?

Hi, I recovered to 80-95% pre-pfs after 1 year and 9 months. I have been stable for 7 months now.

Hi,
I am in a very similar position to you were in.

I am now where you were seven months ago. I am one year and two months off the poison and I feel about 60 to 70% recovered.

Please tell us:

  • What were some signs you were REALLY starting to recover sexually?
-Did you have penile numbness? did that reocver
  • are you back pre-fin erections?

this is all I need to know at this point in my journey

During that time I could perform sex normally if I use cialis and sometimes I had spotaneous erections that I did not have before that when I realize I started to recover. At some point I just stopped cialis and my performance stayed. I has some kind of penile numbness that made me enjoy sex less than before but it gradually recovered.

  • are you back pre-fin erections?

Yes basically. maybe 90 percent.

nothing just change of environment and mood. (I moved back from US to China and it was a big change for me overall). I think L-arginine helped a little.

dude that is absolutely amazing, it give me so much hope at a time of desperate need. especially because I am getting closer to the time period when you started recovering (I am 1 year 4 months in)

Sexual / Erection quality recovery is the absolute best. I simply cannot wait! I also use cialis and it does help.

How long were you on Cialis for? what was your dose and did it stay effective during the entire time you took it?

thnx

I was on it for 9-10 months? I was sexually active and could perform well 90 percent of the time. I used 5mg and it could give me strength for 3-4 days. I’m glad my story helped you. I hope you can get better soon.

Is there anyone suffering from dry lips? I know it hardly counts as a major side effect of pfs but it really bothers me even after most pfs symptoms subsided.

My lips dried up and peeled away layer by layer. This was more pronounced in the first month or so when they were constantly chapped and flaking. It still comes in phases as part of overall tissue loss…lips deflated along with my other facial features and gums. And head, feet, and everything in between really.

Dry lips, along with insomnia, were some of the first symptom that appeared BEFORE I stopped fin and crashed. About 4 years before actually. It increased over time and before and after I crashed dry lips were so bad I had to put Vaseline on my lips 24/7. I wouldn’t call it dry lips though, more like burning lips. It was really painfully dry.

I crashed 4 years ago and it gradually became better. Just 3 months ago, I could tolerate showering, shaving and brushing my teeth and NOT put Vaseline after my shower. Lips were dry, felt unpleasant but were not hurting.

In the last few weeks, it has improved to the point where I don’t notice unless I pay attention, and it would happen only after I put soap or toothpaste on my lips.

Sexually I’m 100% back. Sensitivity is fully back also. If I’m not careful, I can have premature ejaculation !
I still have an imbalance in that when I get morning wood, they last a long time and keep me awake. For some reason, my PFS insomnia became linked with morning woods over a year ago. I would have morning erections lasting hours. Up to 4 hours ! It may be attributed to over-expressed AR reacting to androgen. However, the morning woods have been shorter lately and my sleep has improved.

Morning Insomnia (which does not prevent a normal day), somewhat dry lips (for a short while after showering and without requiring Vaseline like I did for almost 8 years) are the last symptoms I have.

A few months ago, I would have occasional light burning eyes when showering. Just before and after I crashed, my eyes were burning so much I could barely keep them open and ride my motorbike in the hot streets of Bangkok. I had to stop at gas stations and rinse my eyes with water to get a bit of relief. I’m really glad this symptom has reside.

Of course, before and especially after I crashed I had an intensive list of symptoms and was basically disabled, unable to drive or work. But that’s beyond the scope of this particular post.

I’m on a continually decreasing symptoms trend. It took longer than I hoped for to get where I am but I’m very, very grateful I got here. And I didn’t mention it, but I’m quite stable and improving and have been for a year or two (where do I mark the line ? Idk.). I hope to get rid of insomnia but seeing how it’s linked to morning woods, I know I’ll sleep better and naturally only when my AR have returned to their normal state.

I am still the eternal optimist !
I believe epigenetic damage can be repaired and we can have hope !

  • Did you regain visual libido
  • Can you get erect without physical stimualtion

Hey, how did BHB go? I tried SB for several months with no real improvements

Taking oral BHB salts brings to the body about 60 times less BHB than being on a ketogenic diet. I’m on the diet so adding a small quantity of BHB did not make a difference. The diet did though !

However, because ketogenic diet is harsh, MCT oil (C8 and C10) can be a good alternative. They transform into BHB within an hour on an empty stomach and someone can take 10-20 times more than BHB salts.

I started with one table spoon. I thought worst case scenario, I would only get a warm feeling in the stomach and more energy.

What effects did you notice from using the MCT? Thanks!

Sorry for the very late response, I missed your post when you made it.

It took some 2 years to come back and was very gradual. But that’s yes on all 5 following counts although I’m 55 so I’m not as horny as when I started fin at 32.

Still, I perform better sexually than friends my age.

Euphoria, clearer thoughts, increased energy, satiation, and a feeling of well-being.

To add some perspective: I need 3 meals a day plus snacks on a high carb, standard American diet. On a ketogenic diet with mct, I only need 1 or 2 meals a day without snacks. Remarkably, I went from underweight to normal by eating less. People think it’s a weight loss diet when it’s actually a weight balancing diet, so skinny people miss out.

I suggest you don’t try swallowing any oil straight. Instead, swish it around long enough to emulsify, so that way you do not gag.

Ik this is a dead thread but did anyone recover from neurological issues such as DPDR, floaters, visual snow. Only symptoms I have and are still there after 10 months

I recovered from anhedonia and not caring about anything or anyone, including my own life or my children’s life. I had no motivation to do anything for a while. I never used the word DPDR so I’m not sure it applies. I had burning eyes many years before stopping fin, and 41/2 years after crashing. It stopped a few months ago.

I had many other neurological symptoms like brain fog, anxiety, depression, suicidal idealization (among others) and those are also gone. I crashed 5 years and 3 months ago.

It’s not really what you’re asking for, maybe others can answer more specifically for you, but in my opinion, if you recovered so far in only 10 months, chances are good you’ll continue to recover over time. I think there’s reason for hope !
