Stem cells as a therapy

Also, please keep posting your progress. People on here can be pretty negative, but I’m sure your posts give hope to a lot more, even if they don’t say so. They certainly have for me.

Yes Joetz, Any recovery information will bring in some hope for almost everyone here. Please do post your improvements.

Broken_Pecker,

Eagerly waiting for your response. Hope, you are getting better on all sides.

Had an incredibly vivid dream last night, so deep that I was positive it was real. Even when I woke up I wasn’t sure it was a dream. I think I’m experiencing REM sleep now.

Friend joetz (BP) does not help that few cells infiltrated mothers compared to you and kentucky. I believe that the effectiveness depends on the number of stem cells infiltrated.

I’ve noticed I’ve been dreaming more lately as well. I didn’t think much of it, but I guess it’s a sign of recovery?

Where are Kentucky and BP to report their progress?

Bp posted on the previous page about his progress. Kentucky hasn’t posted as far as I can tell, but joetz said a while back he spoke with him via PM and Ken said he had seen improvements.

Were the improvement from the stem cells or the progesterone and selegeline though?

BP, Kentucky,

will you please post your improvements on Mental, Phsycial and sexual aspects before and after the treatments.

I am sure most of the people want to follow you and I would like to submit the same to one of my doctors in this country who is going to assess whether he can treat me or not.

Joetz friend has done tests???

It’s interesting no one will take me up on testing the known hallmarks of PFS. Namely low vit D, low 3 adiol G. In light of the Italian study neurosteroid levels would be interesting too. I’ve asked for this data time after time and I get no takers. No treatment should even be considered, especially none with no scientific basis performed by unethical clinics, without screen shot of lab work showing improvement in these areas IMO particularly considering threads like these are such a beacon to the most naïve among us.

High vitamin d levels don’t really prove anything though. When I was at my worst I bought a vitamin d supplement and took high doses and got blood tests showing high vitamin d levels. So I went from being an impotent man with a low vitamin d level to an impotent man with a high vitamin d level, and bloodwork to prove it. Still felt like complete garbage, still had poor energy levels, still had brain fog, etc

I can get recent bloodwork and maybe it will show a good vitamin d level and maybe it won’t. Either way accepting it as proof that I’m feeling better is nonsense. How a person feels is so much more important

Of course how a person feels is more important. No one claimed otherwise. The point of getting bloodtests is to see if there is, in fact, a difference between pre-recovery and post-recovery values. Due to the rare and often shady recovery stories, getting several post-recovery blood tests would be a huge step in our understanding. Post-fin bloodwork and failed treatments/recoveries is what led the scientists to their (now corroborated) hypothesis. A recovered PFS sufferer with bloodwork could help us to lead to treatment options for everyone.

Joetz, thanks for providing updates. On the one hand, it’s fantastic that you have made so much progress and are feeling better. STC seems to have improved your quality of life, your confidence, and your ability to move hand. On the other, STC, or any other successful treatment, provides new information on what Finasteride did, or how the damage could be repaired.

Along with several of the other posters, I would be very interested in seeing if you had any change in hormone levels. DHT, T & it’s metabolites, LH, FSH, & Adiol-G, in theory, would come back up if your system was working properly and the damage was repaired. (*It breaks my heart that I’ve yet to come across an example of anyone recovering from poor to normal levels).

Please don’t take this in any way as being critical of you undergoing treatment, or trying something new. In fact, I really respect that you are willing to go through some pretty extreme lengths (surgery!, $$$!) to get better.

Good luck, and keep up the healthy living!

Ihatepropecia702 provided blood tests which showed his hormones increased. He had hormones within range before, but they increased even more towards top of the range when he said he was cured.

Link?

At this point I have yet to see on confirmed “cure” of PFS. Saying your hormone levels normalized over a post on the internet is much different than screen shots of before and after labs, as I know you understand.

true, but some people have posted exact numbers and given ranges over time and their numbers did seem to normalize. Example, going from low to mid range in Testosterone and Total T as well as Cortisol being lowered. As far as a cure, yeah who really knows for sure.

This is really crazy but I’m still improving massively. The procedure was done seven months ago and I thought improvements would taper off at month six but honestly things really swung into high gear after six months and the rate of improvement has only accelerated. I now feel comfortable putting my overall recovery at 75 percent.

If you have shown such dramatic gains why not provide before and after lab work so researchers, the foundation, etc. will take it more seriously and others might benefit? Obviously they just can’t go on just the obvserations of any of us here alone without hard data. I’m not attacking you but you’ve been around here a long time too so it’s really not surprising we arn’t taken seriously when you consider some of the claims guys have made.

As I recall, you never had penile shrinkage, correct?

Regardless glad to hear you’re feeling better.
