Side effects due to an decreased prostate caused by Propecia?! UPDATED - New approach

I didnt have any heavy prostate diseases. There was a period of months when I sometimes realized pain after having orgasm. Burning sensation in penis. I dont know ift that is a prostate disease.

Quercetine solves in many cases prostate problems!

I used Solaray Quercetine 500mg per tab. I took 3 tabs after wake up.

Than after six to seven weeks I dropped this treatment and began with 5mg Vardanafil at bed time daily. DIM morning and evening. And prodocine at morning.
After two weeks I got strong erections and after one week withou that treatment I ve been cured.

Can’t access the site, can you copy & paste entire study?

Well that sucks. I just tried the link from this site and couldn’t get it either. I’m not that technologically inclined so here is a dumb question…Do I literally just copy and paste the study right off of the web page??

If so, the only problem would be finding the study again…

cytochrome -

Did you notice improvement while you were on quercitin, or was it only when you started vardenafil when you started getting better?

Also, what is prodocine? When I type in “prodocine” on google, I don’t find anything.

Also did you happen to feel bad when initially starting Quercetin? I actually feel a decrease in sexual capacity since using it and a bit of shrinkage. Maybe some experiences just differ?

He did say that he felt worse in the beginning. This is probably due to an initial increase in serum estrogen.

Here is the study I found earlier…

ABSTRACT

Aim: To investigate effects of quercetin on weight and histology of testis and accessory sex organs and on sperm quality in adult male rats. Methods: Male Sprague-Dawley rats were injected s.c. with quercetin at the dose of 0, 30, 90, or 270 mg/kg body weight/day (hereafter abbreviated Q0, Q30, Q90 and Q270, respectively), and each dose was administered for treatment durations of 3, 7 and 14 days. Results: From our study, it was found that the effects of quercetin on reproductive organs and sperm quality depended on the dose and duration of treatment. After Q270 treatment for 14 days, the weights of testes, epididymis and vas deferens were significantly increased, whereas the weights of seminal vesicle and prostate gland were significantly decreased, compared with those of Q0. The histological alteration of those organs was observed after Q270 treatment for 7 days as well as 14 days. The sperm motility, viability and concentration were significantly increased after Q90 and Q270 injections after both of 7 and 14 days. Changes in sperm quality were earlier and greater than those in sex organ histology and weight, respectively. Conclusion: Overall results indicate that quercetin might indirectly affect sperm quality through the stimulation of the sex organs, both at the cellular and organ levels, depending on the dose and the duration of treatment. Therefore, the use of quercetin as an alternative drug for treatment of male infertility should be considered.

Here is another blurb from a body building forum…

QUERCETIN/RED WINE EXTRACTS
The flavanoid quercetin (relatively inexpensive and easily available) dramatically increases NOS activity/production so it needs to be in any NO product (J Hypertens. 2006 Jan;24(1):75-84.) because it would make any supplement that relies on an NO mediated system more effective. So why don’t we see all these Arginine and NO products loaded with quercetin then like PlasmaJet™ contains? Additionally, red wine extract/polyphenols (FASEB J. 2005 Mar;19(3):455-7.) demonstrably increases the synthesis of NOS (which is needed to make more NO!) via the redox-sensitive activation of the PI3-kinase/Akt pathway in the vascular endothelial cells which, in turn, causes phosphorylation of NOS, resulting in an increased formation of NO.

Cytochrome,

Aside from your libido and erectile problems, did your neurological symptoms go away as well? I have been researching your approach and it seems like a good combo.

For everyone else, the prodicine he is talking about is actually called Protodiocsin. It is the active ingredient in the product ThermoLife Tribosten. It naturally increases LH which in turns naturally raises Test. I think this along with the Quercitin is a good combo. I may try it seeing as the the ingredients are all natural.

Protodioscin is the active ingredient in Tribulus Terrestis. Some people have tried Tribulus and felt no different, but since it’s a natural supplement probably worth giving a shot, although it should be cycled (3 weeks on, 1 week off I think I recall reading somewhere)

Yes, I would imagine dumping extra test into the system when the estrogen isn’t under control is probably a moot point. That’s why I think when taken in conjuction with quercetin it would be effective. Just my opinion obviously, but I think by starting out on the quercetin to curb the effects of estrogen and then adding the Tribosten to boost test some good results could ensue.

It will be awhile before I try it though. Today is day 9 of my fast and I can’t believe how clear my head is. I’m going to give this protocol a shot after I’ve been eating raw foods for a month or so. Probably sometime near the end of Nov.

Are you going to try it Mew?

I just did some reasearch on the other supp. that cytochrome was taking and it seems like it would be a must to add into the protocol. The supp in question is DIM and it is used to promote healthy estrogen metabolism. Have you guys looked into this? Here are some links.

mikemahler.com/articles/hofmekler8.html
bioresponse.com/BioResponse-DIM.asp

If it doesn’t work, google Bioresponse DIM to get the info. Let me know what you guys think.

I’m not sure if I should add this while I take the quercetin seeing as my estrogen levels will go up for a short period and this would help facilitate the conversion of the extra estrogen. Or, if I should wait unitl it gets itself under control after six weeks or so and then add it in. Any suggestions? I’m curious as to what others think.

Cytochrome did the quercetin only for six weeks, then dropped it and took DIM and Tribosten together

Mew,

In response to people not feeling any differnt on Tribulus Terrestis, this could be due to the fact that the products they were taking did not contain enough of the active ingredient. Tribosten boasts the fact that their product contains more of the active ingredient then other supps and it is in a more bioavailable form. Whether this is marketing or not, who knows. I think it is worth a try.

Okay, I beleive I’ve just answered my own question. I’ve found a product below which is used to lower estrogen in the body and the ingredients contain quercetin and DIM together! That is what I am going to try

FEATURED PRODUCTS

EstroX
We are bombarded with estrogen on a daily basis and it is important that men and women fight back. Excess estrogen equals excess stubborn fat, low sex drive, poor mood, and may even be the main culprit for prostate issues. EstroX contains a blend of Chrysin, DIM, Resveratol, Quercitin, and other ingredients to clear our harmful estrogen. If you have stubborn fat or a low sex drive due to excess estrogen this is a product for you. Moreover, why wait until you have estrogen dominance. Be proactive and make this supplement part of your arsenal today.

For more info on EstroX, read Ori Hofmekler’s article:

this is my 7 weeks on quercetin…in 4 days i’ll try estrodex + axis-ht
do u think is it good to try this cythocrome’s treatment ?
let me know.
bye

Have you noticed ANY difference on the quercetin? Any increase in sex organs?

I notice my dick bigger for sure and a lil bit more sensibility .
But dn’t know if it was just due to quercetin cause i’ve used acth injections too …anyway my dick is bigger and feeling more sensations nowand I think quercetin helped somewhat.

Could somebody answer my question?do u think using those products is fine to try to do as chytocrome?
thanks

If you noticed that your unit is bigger than the quercetin is having the necessary effect. That is why I asked you. I’ve went back and forth with cytochrome many times through private message and the same thing happened with him on quercetin and he wasn’t receiving any shots. So, its safe to assume that the quercetin is responsible.

You can take the estro x if you want. After 6-7 weeks on quercetin, cytochrome dropped it and then added in Tribosten and DIM. He also took a small amount of an erection pill in the am and pm. You could substitue horny goat weed for that if you like. After about 2-3 weeks he noticed a huge difference in how he felt. That is the protocol I"m going to try after I’ve been eating for a month or two. Let us know how it works for you.

sure.

About quercetin,I started use it on 7 september and for sure I can say that I noticed my penis and balls bigger;I’m sure of thet,I also noticed more feeling .

Here for me it’s hard to find DIM,so I would take a product called estrodex and the brand is S.A.N. does it work similar to DIM ?

And I ll use Axis-ht that contains some tribulus inside .

I also have cialis pills so I could try them too

IS THIS THE RIGHT PROTOCOL ?

I’m not using DIM but Estrodex …I’m going to use Tribulus like chytocrome did and some cialis pills.

I’ll post for sure…

…and another thing, but it’s too early to say:

my doc 90% will put me on xyrem, but he ll call me next days to tell me some other treatments that thinks could work too like xyrem does;
so I’ll post all the medicine’s names he 'll tell me working like xyrem to let people on the forum knows what is also possible to try.

I’ll post.

One thing about the tribulus. Cytochrome used a particular brand called Tribosten. This brand supposedly has more of the active ingredient than most tribulus supplements so it tend to be more effective. Google it and do some research and you’ll see. As far as everything else, it sounds similar. You can always search his posts to find his exact protocol, but it is what I have mentioned in the last post. Good luck.
