Progesterone treatment?

What do you feel your overall improvements are Hypo at this point Hypo?

Here’s an update with me:

I’m definitely slowly but surely getting even better. Like others have stated my sleep is most noticeable, I seem to be able to lay down and just fall asleep which hasn’t been like that in probably 10 years. Before I would lay in bet for 30 min and then get pretty good sleep, now I’m there in about 5 min. I used to have to take 50 mg of zinc gluconate to really feel my best, I haven’t been taking zinc in the past month and felt fine. My mood is up, my energy levels are up, my zest for life is improving along with my motivation and this is maintaining even though I haven’t had progesterone in 10 days (I’m going back on this Monday). I had to take a break because of the chest pains due to overdosing (I think that’s what caused it anyway) which subsided after a long four days.

My libido on the other hand actually seems less. It’s almost like only my libido has crashed and the other stuff is good. Before I was wanting sex about every 3 days, now I want it pretty much never. On the upside I can still have sex when my girlfriend wants to and erections are coming pretty easy (even easier than before). I’m hoping that my libido will come racing back in several months as it has for others. I’ll be patient as I know this takes time.

I should also note that as a self experiment I went about two weeks without having sex / ejaculating and it made no difference whatsoever that I could tell. After I did finally ejaculate I didn’t feel better or worse.

I should also say for others that are doing the protocol: my crashes are far less intense than they were at the start of the protocol. I still feel poorly sometimes while on progesterone but my body has adjusted better to it so it handles it better (or something like that). I wouldn’t be discouraged if you don’t get intense crashes as you did at the start, I’m not and still improving for now.

it is probably not “working” or “cure”. If you are not getting better libido and erections. This may be a clear way to get an idea about your self recovery. Progesterone makes ppl little feminize with good mood as far as i understand, what you have to feel as a man is pure aggrassive. But it depends of course

Sasane do your own self research before you say it’s not working. Brongfogboy I feel good no real changes just steady incremental improvement. Glad to hear you’re doing well. I’ve noticed less and less urinary symptoms as ice stayed on the protocol. Oh I’m not turning into a girl either.

please read progesterone,also 5ar inhibitor

Ugh. According to Merck finestride is well tolerated too.

Since you like to read advertisements and turn them into medical advice here is a site that at least does it well. If you’re not trying progesterone therapy and experiencing the benefits or side effects as others have done than please stop posting second hand information about it.

Sanane is an idiot that floods this topic. I would like to not flood too but you guys didn’t anwser my questions. How we could do the cream working better? Evertime I restart the cream I feel it again because I get numb and lucid dreams. But if I masturbate the numbness start to decrease and I loose my dreams the only thing I know is that increase prolactin and it opposes progesterone.

Do you guys think the cream stop working well if a person start to get higher prolactin levels?
Let’s make some research all of us then maybe we can accelerate our recovery.

Hypo could you tell us how you felt and how you feel before and after the treatment?
I got really good on the first week I would say 30% cured, morning wood and libido but lost when masturbated three times in a day. Second time I was in my 2 day masturbated and lost the beggining of numbness and dreaming I was getting.

Read through the thread I have it listed week by week. As far as prolactin goes, everytime you ejaculate your body produces prolactin, which could be causing your numbness. I’d recommend abstaining or trying to reduce prolactin. I’m not a doctor though.

It’s interesting that people will believe something they read over what real life experience is showing us.

Brongfogboy- just noticed that your libido seems very similar to mine. I don’t always want it, but I’m able to perform very well when it comes time to. Almost like my brain doesn’t think about it but when the time comes it remembers that this is fun.

You are free to do what cures you in your mind. And you will always be right, and always you feel cured in the end.
This is how here works all of us.

my advice is just do nothing, only sleep, exercise, run. Repeat.

You didn’t understand I was asking how do you feel now I know you posted week by week but you applied wrong in the beggining it is 10mg all at once. The numbness is a bood sign it is not from prolactin or masturbation because when I do it I loose it. After the numb that we get the highs at least is how worked for me, finatruth, gazzaa, elb. I’m still asking if you guys could help searching if high prolactin levels makes the cream weaker or even not working. After the numb I got excellent head, libido, sensitivity and erections. If I could do it again I wouldn’t masturbzte because I think its the reason I lost the bennefits.

I think we should try to make it working better to get the numb that’s what I think

Was it like that before you started progesterone?

I want to offer my experience.

I have been on and off progesterone for number of months now. Last time I tried it was for a 8 days at the beginning of May. My experience with progesterone tends to go like this:

  1. improvement in mental function, increase in greasy skin, more spontaneous erections, better sleep
  2. mental function persists (on and off but overall better), erections stay better but overall sexual function declines. Libido drops. Fatigue sets in. I get home and I want to go to bed.
  3. I stop.
  4. Anxiety for 2-3 days.
  5. 2-3 weeks later - sexual function starts to improve. Brain fog starts to return somewhat.

I think progesterone is a very blunt tool but it definitely interacts with the key things we suffer from. Last week I had the most libido I have ever had in the last 7 years. Unfortunately at the weekend I was at wedding and drank a fair bit which has set me back at bit.

Only two treatments I think have helped me in the last 7 years - doxycycline and progesterone. You have to stick with it and yes there are downs with it. I’m not sure my body can tolerate it for too long in one go though as it is an anti androgen don’t forget and can build up in adipose tissue if taken constantly.

I do think it makes our bodies more responsive to testosterone overall.

For me, dropping to 5 mg progesterone has shown vast improvements in libido compared to 10 mg. You guys may want to try it out after several days off.

I just want to weight in that my progress has been similar to others on this long term protocol. Changes have been in order that they have improved:

mood/motivation/anxiety (first few days on protocol) -> sleep -> facial hair/oilier skin -> some erection improvement/morning wood

Hoping next arrow will point to libido and improved sensitivity, better spontaneous erections. That’s the missing link for me, seems like that’s true of others as well.

I think its better to stay a little long than 4 days off maybe a week off. I’m trying to understand why the cream loose effectiveness and stop working I need your help guys I don’t think dermal fatigue is the answer. Some guys took the creeam and felt nothing, I felt excellent then after some masturbations I lost everything.

So when you’re on progesterone cream you feel no difference whatsoever, either positive or negative? Nothing at all?

Hi guys,
When you say that you no longer have brain fog, does that include anhedonia, a disconnected feeling from the world. Do you feel mentally back to your old self? Are you emotionally improved?

I’m definitely emotionally improved but still feel that disconnection you’re talking about - it’s improved though.
