Progesterone treatment?

Thats great news beekay,

Can you please outline what you did ?

Thanks

I don’t want to be too negative beekay but you should wait at least 4 weeks to see if your improvements stay. I also thought that tamox + ari healed me but it only lasted 3 weeks and after that everything went to where it was before. Nevertheless these 3 weeks were awesome :-]

Have you got your Progesterone level checked beekay? I know there’s no incentive if you’re feeling good, but I followed the same inputs you were using and inadvertently boosted mine well above range. (mine was 11 pmol when the lab range was 0.9-4)

Mark 2012:

Months 1 + 2:
Pregnenolone 50mg per day
Progesterone 10mg per day
Vitamin D 5000iu
Calcium 1000mg per day
Magnesium 500mg per day
Zinc 25 mg per day
CoQ10 150mg per day
Fish Oil 3000mg per day

At the end of the 2nd month on treatment above i added in the following:
Clomid 25mg per day
Nolvadex 20mg per day

Raberduck:

No negativity or positivity is required in the face of genuine fact. Not to sound rude or anything but I couldnt give a shit about anybodies opinions or fear mongering at the moment. You get alot of that on this forum. Try the protocol or don’t, your choice i’m only trying to assist you guys as light at the end and others have done for me.

dannyfc:

Of course your progesterone was above the range. You are supplementing it and need it to be high to combat estrogen. Once the estrogen is no longer unopposed then gradually cut it down and you’ll fall back within range. My testosterone was slightly above the normal range as well. So was pregnenolone. My cholesterol is now just within range.

I have been on this protocol for 4 months now and i’m %95 cured
Erections are at %100
Libido is near %100
Semen Volume has improved significantly
Sensitivity is around %90
Testicular Size has seen improvement but definitely not the same size pre-fin.
Morning and Nocturnal Erections are clockwork
Spontaneous Erections are now the norm
Fatigue - I have endless amounts of energy
Anxiety / Depression - completely eradicated %100
Brain Fog completely cured %100
Muscle weaknness - cured %100

The last 4 weeks have shown the biggest leaps in improvement.

another 3 or 4 more months to go on treatment then i’m going to start tapering down until i ween myself off the clomid, nolva, progesterone & pregnenolone.

Hi beebay,

Your using so many things at once how do you know the Progesterone helped you ?

Alright, so when you are finished with your treatment in the following months, can you report back to this topic (or seperate) if you stay recovered/what is the final progress post-treatment?

I think it would be good because we have no way to know otherwise what is the final net gain from the protocol, and we have already 2-3 people who got worse or crashed on this protocol as well. So there are those who improve a lot and those who get a lot worse, thus we need certain anecdotes where months have passed post-treatment to be sure that things really did work out in the end. I’m not saying this to belittle, I’m just concerned for objectivity.

Although it does sound like you and at the end… are having mighty good times now

More than happy to report back and let you guys know I’m traveling. Will check in monthly until treatment has finished and beyond.

I just wanted to add my experience to this thread.

Current Protocol:

B12 daily
Vitamin D daily
5-10mg Progesterone cream daily
DIM once per week
Cycling the 7 testosterone boosters that CDnuts recommends on his recovery protocol.
Weights 3 x a week
30 min jog with interval sprints 3 x a week
Paleo diet

I am also receiving this protocol EXTREMELY well. Been using Progesterone cream for nearly 2 weeks, here are my improvements thus far:

Brain Fog : Completely GONE
Depression: Completely GONE
Anxiety : Completely GONE
Anhedonia: Completely GONE
Personality: 90% back to pre-fin
Motivation/drive : 80% back
Creativity : 100% back (I literally can’t stop listening to music, it sounds SO good now I have my emotions back.)
Mornings: Wake up feeling fine - no dread and feel more and more refreshed everyday.

All mental side effects were SEVERE before progesterone and have lifted like magic since starting this protocol.

It’s unbelievable. Life is nice again.

Erections EVERY morning
Penis at it’s correct size 90% of the time
Testicles fluctuating in size
Vision: 80% back (Was at about 55% before - very blurry and sensitive to light - there’s now brief moments of complete clarity)

I have tried progesterone in the past when I was right in the eye of the storm and it actually made me worse so stopped. Over the past year though I have improved in all areas due to strict diet and exercise and felt it would be fine to give it another go.

I think to reap the rewards from this protocol you need to get your body into a relatively healthy state (diet/exercise) before hand.

If this continues, I will be back in 4 months to post my recovery.

After feeling so wrong for so long, to suddenly feel normal again is too good to explain in words. It’s like I’m high on some incredible drug.

Feel free to ask any questions although I think it’s pretty self-explanatory. Just go do it. I think combining CDnuts’s protocol with Lightattheend’s is the way to go for all sufferers.

i know everyone reacts differently to things but for me progesterone was poison,at first i felt great from using it,my mental sides just melted away,i felt back to normal for a short while, then it was downhill from there, flu like symptoms first which i thought was just coincidence, then massive hairloss in a very short space of time, mental sides went into overdrive,it took me about four months to pull round,i was also left with sides i didnt previously have, achey balls and blurry vision sometimes, putting more hormones into your body is taking a gamble, imo much safer going down the exercise and good diet root…

Weird, it didn’t do a thing for me.

The cream I was using was clearly effective as my levels jumped to 11 nmol after a few weeks. Well above range.

I’ve stopped since and haven’t noticed anything, positive or adverse.

What’s the actual reasoning behind it? All I know is it amplifies estrogen receptors.

This is great news elb. Please keep us posting. Specially if you see improvements in sexual side effects. I think CDnuts and Lightattheend are up to someting good. Hope improvements stick and better over time.

Can somebody help me to post in this forum? I am a new member and trying to post here but looks like my posts do not show up in the forum.

So why do you think you responded differently now? Diet and exercise (which was missing before?)

Beekay and Elb: would be good to have an update. Hope you are both doing well.

Beekay and Elb. Please update! we are all waiting.

Hi all,

I did try and post a few days ago but it didn’t publish for some reason.

I’m doing good. Went out last weekend and got very drunk and smoked a load of pot which has definitely set me back. Got a bit overexcited feeling so good - massively regretting it. I read that alcohol increases estrogen and that a sudden increase of estrogen can stop the progesterone cream working properly and that to combat this you need to increase the amount of progesterone cream you are using then gradually bring it back down again slowly so that’s what I’ve done and seems to be working - have gone from 5-10mg to 10-15mg. Everywhere I read that progesterone makes you feel worse before you get better and that you MUST stick with it - it can take 6 months to a year before real improvements are achieved depending on how bad your situation is.

Still doing good though and the progesterone continues to bring real improvements .

I’m sitting at about 75-80% after 3 weeks with ups and downs.

The improvements are most noticeable when I’m interacting with people, it just feels like my old personality has been switched back on. It’s an amazing feeling but does waver.

I’ve been doing a lot of research regarding why the progesterone might be working for some and not others. Cortisol/stress definitely plays an important role, apparently if your cortisol/stress levels are high then progesterone cream WONT WORK as cortisol competes for the same receptors as progesterone so CHILL OUT!

  • Meditate (there’s a good app you can get in the UK called headspace)

  • Relax and keep stress levels low, go on holiday if you can, take some time off - whatever you can do.

  • Eat healthy - loads of veg and fish

  • Exercise lightly - too much and cortisol levels will rise

  • Do all you can to get your body into a state of calm. I have also been listening to a lot of ambient and classical music while meditating as music therapy is proven to reduce cortisol and stress.

Check out a 90s ambient producer called ‘stars of the lid’ or Tim hecker if you want to try some music therapy.

I have also read that vitamin D and B vitamins help progesterone to do what it should.

I would suggest spending a good month or so getting your body calm using the above methods and getting your vit D and B levels high before trying the progesterone and whatever you do DONT DRINK ANY BOOZE. So pissed off with myself for doing that.

Will be back to update in a couple of weeks.

All the best,

Btw I can’t PM so message me on this thread if you want to ask any questions.

I know this is aimed at women trying to get pregnant (what a strange situation we are in - lol) but here’s some good tips for trying to get progesterone cream to do what it should.

Hey All,

I took Beekay’s advice, tried some pregnenolone by itself to see what would happen. Inititally i got worse, but then i massively improved and became my oldself for about 3 days upto a week. Felt great. Was finally able to bang my girlfriend til she couldn’t walk properly! (I suffer from sexual dysfunction and emotional blunting.)

However having tried a 3 days on 3 days off approach, the pregnenolone finally wore off- or my body got used to it and sure enough i’m back to shit…in fact i’ve been pretty bad the last 2 weeks…

Any suggestions? Should i leave it for ages and then come back to it? Should i have some tests done? (fuck that - every doctor has no idea) - Should i combine with something else?

I decided not to use it with progesterone cream - because the cream made me feel how i am right now actually…sends my dick completely numb…like it’s filled with estrogen.

Suggestions Please!

Man its good news to see people claiming that progesterone/pregnenolone helped them find themselves even temporarily, because it indicates that the missing link lies in neurosteroid balance. I believe this process takes time and everybody should start in lower doses to see how they respond. I am waiting for progesterone cream and pregnenolone pills to arrive soon and im going to start this treatment too but in really low doses.

Man, you’ve got to stick with the cream. It’s known to increase estrogen when you first use it before balancing out. As has been explained in this thread, there’s ups and downs with it but it’s effects have not worn off for me…
