Prep medication, reversing pfs?

Some folks who use prep for hiv prevention report sides that go away within 2 weeks.

Can’t make that last promise bro. I’ve barely been here the past 2 months and I haven’t even gotten better. If prep gives me amazing results, I’ll report them, but there’s no point in checking in regularly if nothings changed.

Same with if it doesn’t work at all. It’s time for me to focus on overcoming some debt so I can start dropping significant funds for PFS studies and cures.

All I’m saying is just let us know if it works or not, I don’t mean like a daily diary. Even if one symptom improves

Of course, I’ll be here to post any changes at all

Got my prep. Kit comes in next week. I really don’t want to wait that long.

You guys think it won’t be a big deal to start taking it right now and quit in case the kit testing shows bad news later next week? How much damage can I do in less than 7 days?

That I am not sure of, but there are some doctors on here

I took 1. It’s been about 2 hours. Don’t feel any positives or negatives yet. Might’ve felt some sensations in the head, or might’ve been making it up.

I’ll document any significant chances here over the weeks and months. Wish me luck boys.

If it works for you it will take months not days.

There are a few apps now you can order prep online without visiting a doctor but they still require blood tests every 3 months

Yeah I realize it will take a while. As soon as I notice anything significant I will report it here everytime.

As for bloodwork- I started taking prep in advance of a blood work kit. The company doing the testing doesn’t know I’m on prep already. Will that affect the results?

No but if you have unusual liver or kidney results you should keep an eye on those.

Alright guys, about 2-3 days ago i felt my emotions coming back. I wasnt too sure but now at this point im quite sure.

in december 2018 i took 5htp which made my emotional blunting worse. i probably only had 15% emotional experience, and 5 htp took away most of that.

now im back to about 10-15% at the very least. but honestly its hard to gauge in percentage after being emotionally blunted for 1.5 years

if the test results show that i have to stop this medication im going to feel like a complete loser

Good news, I’m good to go according to tests. If anyone wants to try a bloodwork and get prep, look up “nurx”. They even provide affordable and free options if you qualify

@lakehouse how is it going?

Same level of progress right now because I skipped out on my dose for 4 days due to travel complications. might have even lost a little bit of gains from skipping.

I got tenofir which i think is the least in strength out o the 3 choices we had.

i hope to update you guys in another week

Alright guys I’m back to my previous peak, and a little past it.

I also switched to truvada as of yesterday, and apparently it’s stronger.

How are you fatigue wise

Never suffered from that in the first place so I would say normal

Thanks for sharing this. I’m in a similar position, I guess maybe I should look into acquiring a prescription for this if nothing else pans out.

Has anyone been in contact with @irishguy754 recently. He’s my friend and he’s gone completely silent on me since 9th July. I’m really worried about him.
