****POST YOUR TFT (THYROID FUNCTION TESTS HERE)*****

This is very interesting. It backs up jn and i always feel best in the evening. Anonnn1 is there a time of day when you noticably feel better or worse? For me mornings are die-er…cant think and can bearly move. From about 3pm on wards i start to feel better, with a peak in the evening…

Same with me…I feel like crap in the morning and have a hard to get myself going…I peak in the evening…

Exactly the same for me as well. I always like crap in the morning. I even created a thread about this subject months ago because I felt this was an important sign.

Update 7/20/10 : Just added my Thyroid Results to this thread. It’s good to see more guys are adding their Thyroid results.

*TRH Stimulation test results included

Test Desc Reference Range
TSH 1.57 (.05-6.0 ulU/ml)
Total T4 6.3 (4.0-11.0 ug/dl)
Free T4 0.95 (0.750-1.54 ng/dl)
Total T3 0.83 (0.70-1.70 ng/ml)
Free T3 2.40 (2.0-4.9 pg/ml)

TSH Post (stimulation test) 14.98 High (.05-6.0)

It’s flagged on the test with the wording “abnormal” for this TSH result.

My results:

From Sept’2009

T3 uptake: 36.3 (20 - 38.5)
T4: 9.9 (4.4 - 12.4)
Calculated T7 (FTI) 3.59 (1.05 - 4.5)

FREE T3: 4 (2.3 - 4.2)

In Dec’2009

FREE T4: 1.28 (.73 - 1.95)
TSH: 1.2 (.3 - 5.1)
FREE T3: 3.4 (2.3 - 4.2)

So all results in range. My current sypmtoms:

  • Weak erection, Premature ejaculation
  • Fatigue
  • IBS

My endo wont do reverse T3

What a jerk your doctor is…please try to get it tested somehow…

Well, everything has come in range in the last 2 results, so may be thats why he is not keen. Although some numbers were on the higher end of the range in the first result. The second one had almost perfect numbers.

Normal results dont mean sqwat without rt3

but i like you am having real trouble getting it tested

to tim and everyone else: i posted a company that does it for 59 dollars. getting this value tested should not be an issue.

People in the usa have no excuse, im trying to do it in a place which seems like a hick village in terms of medical research.
Maybe i will have to go thru australia…

I belive it is via mail - as in they mail a sample to be tested - so I’d be suprised if it is USA only. However, if it is, I think jn is in Australia - maybe he can assist you.

Results of blood test taken July 10. 2010

T3 1.11ng/mL (0.8 - 2.0)
T4 7.83ug/dL (5.1 - 14.1)
TSH 3.050 uU/mL (0.270 - 4.200)
Reverse T3 0.17ng/mL (0.1 -0.35)

IGF1 - 91.90ng/mL (171-814)
IGFB3- 4.15mg/L (2.6 -8.6)

Your T3/RT3 ratio is 6.5…which is less than 10:1 if I’m not mistaken. Food for thought…

1.11/.17=6.5

is there a listing of what the correct ratio should be somewhere?

Is this a reliable lab for RT3 testing? econolabs.com/Default.asp
For that matter, has anyone done any kind of testing via this lab? Another is this one: lef.org/ What are the other labs doing this test and which is the most reliable one?

July 2010

TSH 2.33 Range: .40-4.50

Reverse T3 23 Range: 11-32

Free T3 334 Range: 230-420

Free T4 1.10 Range: .80-1.80

need ranges annon.

Alkaline phosphatase 61 Range: 40-115

I heard a low alkaline phosphatase is a result of

The following conditions or diseases may lead to reduced levels of alkaline phosphatase:

Hypophosphatasia, an autosomal recessive disease
Postmenopausal women receiving estrogen therapy because of osteoporosis
Men with recent heart surgery, malnutrition, magnesium deficiency, hypothyroidism or severe anemia
Children with achondroplasia and cretinism
Children after a severe episode of enteritis
Pernicious anemia
Aplastic anemia
Chronic myelogenous leukemia

This also should be checked I believe…

Platelet Count 197 Range: 140-400 Thousand /UL
MPV 7.9 Range: 7.5-11.6 FL

This looked like this was on the lower end of the range…Any comments on this folks?

Reverse T3 36 (range of 11 - 32)

Holy moly another one
