I used Testosterone, AI, HCG all in different combinations and amount for 5 years, with only results in slight mood elevation and lessened muscle wasting.
1.) Non-existent libido. Non-existent nocturnal/spontaneous erections. Penis is disconnected/dead but still works for urination. Can ejaculate if I force myself to masturbate. No pleasurable feeling accompanying ejaculation.
2.) Testim gel 1%. One 50 mg tube applied daily.
3.) 27 days.
4.) Not much different, felt a bit more tired/fatigued after applying it the first few times. I got body acne on my shoulders and upper chest where I applied it.
5.) Not at all.
6.) Had blood drawn 5 days before starting, and 21 days in. Results are posted in my bloodwork thread.
7.) No, if I ever do consider TRT again I would probably go with the injectable version.
8.) It didnât work for me. I ended up with lower testosterone levels and shutdown FSH and LH.
Does anybody know of ANYONE who has PERSISTENTLY improved ALL of his symptoms using ANY kind of androgen therapy (TRT, DHT, HCG)? I would love to see a little more feedback in this thread, this is one of the most central questions we are dealing with at the moment. The impression I get from this forum is that NO ONE has persistently improved his symptoms on TRT. I am not sure if my impression is right or wrong, that is why I need more feeback. While talking to certain doctors, some claim a high success rate with TRT. Of course, there may be some professional bias here. After all, if the word gets around that TRT mostly doesnât work, then that would be bad for business.
I would be very interested to hear from any cases that got persistently better on TRT. By persistent, I mean the effect lasted for at least 3-4 months.
Yes, two people. And I have read every post on this forum.
JeffO, the ninth post in this thread viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3250&p=20196#p20196. And Dustin, who has now deleted his posts but took very lage doses of test plus cialis (but the effects of both seemed to wear off after a few months and has been cycling them.) Dustin is/was a regular contributor and believable.
Funnily enough, other than that the only people to see âsomeâ persistant benefits seem to be 40 and -JN-. Both of whom had very bad side effects to start off with. Both of whom are former patients of Dr Crisler.
I think it speaks volumes that there are no more successes with TRT. Although I might just add that the âPFS-docsâ wont know if a patient has PFS or just wants some T.
40 is a friend of mine and I know him personally. 40 got destroyed by supplementing androgens, and in particular by using HCG. He had a persistent mental improvement with TRT, but a persistent worsening of his sexual side effects. All in all he is not doing good, and probably one of the worst affected on this forum. As for JN, many things appear to have helped him. In his case, it does seem that all the androgen supplementation may have somehow helped in improving his situation (after a long time).
So, does that leave us with only Dustin and possibly JN? Thatâs a pretty bad track record for TRT and doesnât at all match with what some of the docs are claiming. If someone really gets cured thanks to TRT, I find it hard to believe that none of these people would bother reporting back their success to this forum.
Anyhow, I would still be VERY interested in hearing about more TRT experiences in this thread.
I donât know of any success story about TRT. But, talking about other androgen supplementation strategies, Dury successfully restarted with clomid. He was on T4 too. It seems that cgj1 did exactly the same (clomid+T4) and he declared heâs recovered, but itâs still early days for him.
When I went to see Dr. Irwig, he told me that it wasnât worth it to try TRT. He said that no one from his survey had persistent improvement. He said that some had temporary improvement, but over time reverted to the same condition they were in before TRT.
Ultimately i belive the reason TRT doesnât really help is because itâs not just testosterone that is out of whack (in many cases itâs not even testosterone that is out of whack!), so why would TRT cure anyone? TRT actually suppresses the HPTA and can cause additional e2 problems. TRTâs low success rate isnât a surprise, supplementing directly with testosterone is so far attached from the root cause itâs not even funny.
I agree with Mens Rea. Our problem is not Testosterone or our balls. If that was the issue then why a lot of us have normal or above normal T level?
A lot of us also have altered LH, FSH etc. Some have higher LH then FSH and others have the opposite . Also please note some have not responded to LHRH tests. It means our problem is in our brain.
Hypo-is-here once wrote that TRT can benefit only old males or straight primary hypogonadal males but not secondary hypogonadals.Science still doesnât know how many hormones are released through our pituitary gland. So we will have to replace each and every hormone and again in what composition? Also interestingly Dr chrisler asks about brain injury . I read (I forgot about a guy who became secondary after a fall from the tree). There is user Phil or pmgamer on musclechatroom.com he is secondary and told me that his troubles starte after a head injury in a car accident.
The only hope I see is stem cell therapy being given to Sclerosis patients.Maybe maybe these cell can repair our damaged brain or setup new links.
there is good discussion and read how Hypo-is-here is confident from his experiences. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=654&p=3177&hilit=stem+cell#p3177
I posted once in here beforeâŚbut I have more to add.
Without any medication, my testosterone levels always fluctuate. Sometimes around 600, sometimes around 400 or 200, but a few months ago it was as low as 99, which is lower than a lot of females.
So I decided to hop back on TRT. This is about the 5th time I have gone on TRT. Dr Crisler is my doc.
I have now been on Testosterone Cypionate 80mg weekly + .25mg Arimidex daily for 12+ weeks. I feel literally zero difference in any area that TRT is supposed to help in. And mentally I probably feel worse off.
I am staying on TRT, no idea why. I guess I feel that testosterone will have SOME sort of function for my body, even if I am not feeling a lick of difference. I know it is very important for the immune system, CNS, inflammation, etc. However, if it is not âworkingâ on things like my mood, sexual desire, strength, body frame, etcâŚthen it probably isnât âworkingâ for my immune system, CNS, and inflammation either.
That guy is using 100 mg TC every 5 days, along with Arimidex. That amount of testosterone gives you a supraphysiological level of testosterone. I canât find anything about the Arimidex dose, but 0.5 mg on the injection day, is a good dose according to my experience.
I recommend that you use Andractim to treat gynecomastia. Itâs very effective, and safe. You wonât be able to recover your sexual function when youâre using that much Arimidex.
