*** Post your Adiol-G (3alpha-androstanediol glucuronide) blood test results

Kazman,

I am no taking arimidex anymore.
That was a trial cycle that a endocrinologist gave me to see the impact in my hormones.
I feel a litle increase in libido after 3 days taking taking 1mg that lasts about 1 week. Then libido go away and the worst i arimidez gave very high anxiety and disrupt my sleep pattern. Even lowering the dose it was impossible to deal. It take me more than a month to get my good sleep back. Another thing linked to arimidex use is better and consistent morning wood even with no libido at all.

My labtest done before this test (done in the same laboratory) was
31/10/2008
Total T 513
Free T 7,5
Estradiol 23,4
DHT 115,8
Prolactin 10,1
LH 4,9
FSH 8,0

Our condition is very complex.
Proviron (4 x 25mg a day) was the only one that gives my old libido back.
But it supress my HPA and worst my sperm.
I am waiting to conceive to finally go to TRT protocols.

I admire JN courage and i think he is in the right direction.
Unfortunately Finasteride fucked us for life and we have to find a TRT protocol to survive.

P.S.: I don’t understand why is so dificult to do the Adiol-G test since iy very used in the diagnostic of hirsutism in women. Here in Portugal is easy to get it.

I have re-tested 3 adiol-g and should get the results back by Nov 24

My latest result (November 24, 2009 is 1.01 ng/mL (range 3.40 - 22.00 ng/mL)

thank you for posting and rechecking.
don’t know yet what to do with these findings but it is sure remarkable and might put us on the right track!

did you have any other hormones tested in parallel this time and how are you currently feeling?

I have posted the hormones that were re-tested in the Blood test thread.

I will post all my recent results when I get a moment.
My latest Estradiol result is out of range high, my Estrone result out of range low…go figure.

My sleep is totally disrupted, and I have recurring bouts of very severe depression + active suicidal thoughts. I’m fine today though, after 4 hours sleep. My skin and hair have totally dried out to the point that I need to apply moisturiser 2 a day

by accident i bumped into “cytochromes” AdiolG readings somewhen in 2008.

his reading was 7 (3.4-22).
apparently he was treated with danazol during that time

Very interesting kazman, thanks for pointing me at your previous link, I somehow passed over it. I have to agree that it’s important for many of us to test this, as it’s been the most reliably outside of normalcy test for us.

I slipped up on my last test and forgot to have this adiol g test done. I just had that blood work done last week. I definitely won’t forget next time around; another 5 weeks away.

It’s good to see one consistent hormone among all of us, it gives me some hope we could be making a small amount of progress.

Finally, I will have my 3adiolG test tomorrow.
Will have to pay myself and will post the result as soon as I have it - probably next week.

Blood test was taken yesterday - maybe have a result tomorrow.
Anyways, guys this test can be performed in many labs; you just have to specifically asked for it. I’ll have to pay 30€ for it. Hello!!??
Get this test done.
It is so fucking simple once you found somebody who is willing to take the blood sample!!

Hi all:

My results are:

8.07 ng/mL range (3.4 - 22) on 27/07/2009 - before testogel treatment
9,95 ng/mL range (3.4 - 22) on 06/11/2009 - after almost 3 months of testogel treatment

The results have been both times intrepreted as low by the doctor I am seeing. I did not take arimidex while on a high dose of testogel, so my estrogens were too much elevated. Doctor said that’s one of the reasons for a low second result. He lowered my dose of testo gel and prescribed me arimidex. No improvement with ED during all this time

Will test again in 1 month and 2 months.

That’s not low at all :O. I’ve got a feeling that even this hormone won’t lead us to the answer, because the results are still very varying.

Fanjeera,
Possibly not your most constructive response to date…
The normal level of 3 Adiol G in a male is considered to be around 13, so a result of 9 might be considered fairly low.
Whilst it may not be the full answer, it is the clearest lead we have to date, so probably worth invesigating it fully with an open mind rather than rejecting it out of hand.
Have you tested?

may lab result 3AdiolG

13 (3,4-22).

doesn’t seem to be ‘low’ - don’t really know. Testosterone and DHT readings so far high mid range or higher.
not taking any medications relating to hormones (no testo, no arimidex or whatsoever…).
will wait for the rheinlabs urine panel results now to calculate some metaolic rations.
will get result this week and post it on the forum.

Well the doctor commented that it was too low, and my result is practically in the lower third of the scale; I guess that’s not optimal at all.

We are trying to raise the level by lowering estrogens with arimidex and I might test masteron for a few weeks and test to see where it goes.

Will post results

JN, My result from Quest Diagnostics.

3a Androstanediol-G 394 ng/dL 260-1500

on the following meds: Testosterone 150mg per week
Arimidex (Anastrazole) 0.5mg the day before (but off Arimidex for the preceding week)
Proviron (Mesterolone) 75mg per day
3 weeks after stopping HGH at 1 unit per day

JN

jairus, in terms of ng/mL see my earlier post. On the ng/mL scale normal would be 9 to 17 ng/mL (balding men should be somewhat hgher in range). Looks like testogel gets you up into the proper range, albiet with all the attendant issues of using topical TRT.

Hope this helps - Kazman

Thanks, Kazman.
Can you please repost the link? I can’t access it.

I received my Adiol-G result today:

6.03 ng/mL (3.4 to 22)

The doctor suggested 18 ng/mL as an optimal reading.

Penguin,

Good one. Thanks for posting. Your 3 Adiol G is far too low.
Now we NEED more men to get theirs tested.

My proposed regimen to improve my low 3 Adiol G is this:

Testosterone 60mg per week (in one injection)
HCG 250iu twice a week (in accordance with Dr John Crisler’s TRT protocol)
Drostanolone 100mg 3 times a week.

(As an alternative to Drostanolone, one can use Andractim. I posted scientific papers on Andractim raising 3 Adiol G levels on my ‘Recoveries’ section). I prefer to use Drostanolone as, for me, injections are a great delivery system.

I’m still waiting for my damn Drostanolone.

JN

I emailed my endo (this is thru a HMO) and asked to get my 3 Adiol G tested. Here is his reply:

“Unfortunately Androstanediol glucuronide is not available in our menu of lab tests. Does appear on some menus for national reference labs - some with caveats that although it it has been researched in disorders of excess androgen action in women especially PCOS and hirsutism, its use in clinical medicine is not all that clear.”

He will be testing me for about a 1/2 dozen other things in about a week. Not sure how I’m going to proceed on the 3 Adiol G test.
