Old & Recovered Members

Guys, do any of you still keep in touch with the users below?

I talked via Skype with Braziliandude last year, but him stopped answer me. His story is insane for all he has done to try to recover. Today he is well, recovered, and I think he is trying to live a normal life now, away from the trauma of PFS.

The others did not answer me, but unless mistakenly all these are recovered (or almost so, living a normal life).

Do you have news of them?

Do you have contact with others old members who also have recovered?

I wish people would keep in touch.

If any recovered people read this, please let us know how you’re getting on. We could all use the morale boost.

If you recover, please keep checking in.

Perhaps the moderators can send out a notification email to all that haven’t logged on in more that 6 months ?

Why you don’t take the survey?

Guys I suffered from PFS for 2 years and on the third year I did recover. I have now been 100% for aabout 3 years.\
I adopted a keto/paleo style diet and started weight lifting,
It eventually made a lot of good.
Do not lose hope guys, This stuff if horrible but with lifestyle and dietary changes you can all beat this sindrome.

Dude, it can take ages and sometimes it seems as if you are back 100% and after a week it can come back, however with diet and lifting weight it eventually goes away. You can believe me I have been to hell and made it back.
if you have any questions I can help.

Can you please elaborate on what symptoms got better and an approximate time frame that you noticed improvements after starting the diet/weightlifting? @Surfer

sexual sympthoms, ED and all that awful stuff is what I mean.
It took a couple of years into the fitness and diet program to fully heal.
I have now been well for about 3 years. I am 47 and sexually in top shape
I do not use any cialis or anything like that. However I did use cialis while suffering the symptoms and it did help a lot on the sexual side.

No offense but sounds like you just had ED and not PFS

How severe was your ED?

“Just” erectile dysfuntion can be PFS too. There isn’t uniformity amongst sufferers, symptoms and severity varies hugely between patients.

@Surfer did you have numb and shrunken genitals as well?

You’re right, that was my bad. I just meant that it seems like the older guys who solely have ED and a drop of libido seem to be able to recover with things like diet and exercise and IMO is a different root cause than people like me with mental and physical symptoms that aren’t remedied by things as simple as that. And by using the word “just” I’m using it in the sense that that is their only symptom, not using it in the sense that ED isn’t significant or something to take lightly. However, while not denying that finasteride causes these symptoms, if his problems were limited to ED and libido I think the fact that he’s in his mid/late 40s should be taken into account as this issue is common among people that age and diet and exercise are usual things a doctor recommends to remedy them.

If he has other symptoms that are ubiquitous among us then again that’s my bad. I asked him to describe the symptoms and he mentioned ED and libido again so that’s why I made my assumption. I’m not trying to downplay anyone’s suffering and my previous comment definitely came off that way

To me, its more than established, that older members (talking about age), are more likely to recover, than the younger collective…Probaly one of the main reason, why this poison got apporved in the first place…(Hey look, from the over 50 years old men, who used 5 mg, only some had issues, and they resolved after discontinuation…Lets approve this poison for younger patients, becuz its all the same… F+CK YOU FDA; AND EMA)

numb yes, shrunken no. but no life in the genital area for ages.
things improve slowly, you all have to be patient, it will eventually all go back to normal, but diet and lifestyle changes are essential, avoid simple carbs at all cost, in fact try to avoid carbs as well. I was overweight my whole life and I got ripped in the gym while fighting the sindrome. I am now ripped and pretend to stay ripped forever.

I took finasteride for 1 month and all of a sudden i was impotent. I suddenly stopped taking it and took me 2 years to fully recover.

Its nice to see recovered people but I have to notice that you are new member here. It’s weird. Have you had another, old account here? If not, how did u find this forum? I mean its strange when we see just boom, new registered member talking how he is recovered…

man, I remeber checking this forum regularly, I last night signed up in order to provide positive feedback to all of you. I think this is a way of giving back. I am serious, I was affected by this awful sindrome for 2 years . I have no reason to lie, I would be a total asshole doing so. I am here to let you all know that you can all get better and eventually heal from this situaltion.
