Does anyone have a diet problem of feeling better by eating partly unhealthy? What worries me is that up until a certain point I feel better when I eat 80% very healthy and 20% unhealthy or very unhealthy (pizza, crisps, chocolate etc). When I try to eat 100% healthy again, something very strange happens. My kidneys start to hurt, bloating increases, stools start to be green, my body gets colder, I get more gynaecomastia, depression, brain fog and anxiety, and I get generally worse. Only after several days of a strict diet does the situation start to improve. Whatâs more, when I eat partially unhealthy, then I take in as much as 3,500-4,000 kcal a day and then my weight is stable or even decreases. On the other hand, when I eat a healthy diet of 2,500-2,700 kcal (which is my normal energy requirements), I feel that my body is barely able to digest this amount of calories and even gently starts to deposit the âexcessâ in belly fat. Itâs also strange that during a partially healthy diet my abdomen is quite flat and my stools often look really healthy (I donât have abdominal or bowel pains then either).
This is strange, because after all, studies show that the problem with PFS is somehow related to the digestive system, and I really feel that my digestive system functions best when I get a bit of crappy food on a daily basis. Of course, I try not to have days like this too often when I eat partially unhealthy food, but itâs already become ingrained in my psyche that I get relief from my symptoms when I eat something very unhealthy. I should add that I feel absolutely shitty when my diet contains only poor junk food. It only improves when this kind of food is just a supplement in my diet.
Any thoughts?
Yeh itâs been like that for me too I canât fully understand it. Healthy food = hormones, some of us canât process them ie any change up or down has a detrimental effect, junk food has low nutritional value and is often 5ari laden from the oils which generally give us a mini boost somtimes ahead of worsening. A difficult one to fathom
Guys, thanks for your answers.
I completely donât understand this. I was very food sensitive for the first 9 years of PFS. I basically had to throw 99% of my old diet in the bin. Since then I have started to tolerate junk food better. To make it funnier, since then a clean diet hasnât given me as good results as before. Whatâs more, I sometimes have it that if I eat chicken, drink yoghurt or just eat well below my energy requirements, I get very bad kidney pain the next day. This pain is not there at all when I eat a load of junk food for a few days. Oh, and I should add that I generally try to avoid junk food though, but it has been quite difficult for a while because it sometimes gives me temporary gains.
I donât know what you specifically mean by âhealthy foodâ but assuming you mean in general anything that isnât just a bunch of filling junk with no nutritional value though like Lazarus up there said said it could be that nutrient dense food initiates a lot of biological changes and a body thatâs all PFSâd up can barely handle any fluctuations without crashing. I been here before myself, I had to gradually work back more and more food in as I recovered. I waged war with my body for months just trying to get it to accept D3 supplementation again without crashing. Note I canât eat land meat so this is just me but from my perspective this is what Iâd try. Iâd start with mostly being vegan if you can handle it with a lot of basic veggies and spices (I personally used a massive amount of garlic and black garlic all the time and a pinch of sichuan pepper), then work in slowly basic seafood thatâs easy for the body to process, then fish which is gonna have higher concentrations of nutrients that may induce beneficial hormone fluctuations + natural D3, then work from there based on how you feel once youâre able to get your body to adapt to more normal food afgain.
By healthy food I mean unprocessed and fresh food such as vegetables, fruit, complex carbohydrates (rice, buckwheat, millet groats, quinoa), eggs, healthy fats (avocado oil or olive oil) or meat. I will admit that I had quite a long phase with the vegan diet. And unfortunately, it is not currently an option for me. Iâve reached a stage where I can now exercise every day (quite briefly, but itâs intense), so I need energy, vitamins and minerals. Unfortunately, I feel that on a vegan diet I simply lack the necessary ingredients.
I also had this âproblemâ. Turned out i was copper toxic, and every time i was eating healthy like veggies and meat i would feel terrible. But this was because my body used this healthy food to detox the copper (and maybe other toxins) out of my body. It dumped it into the bloodstream to be transported to the liver. That is why i always feel bad. Many times my liver could not handle the load of toxins and i needed to do a coffee enema to clear it all out. This works really well. I am doing this now for over 2 years and starting to feel better. It is unbelieveable how many toxin a body can hold. If you eat crappy bad stuff than you give your body no nutritions to detox so nothing happens. So it might feel better cause nothing is being dumped in your bloodstream but actually you are making yourself worse by letting your body store more toxins in your tissue. So yes, you must eat healthy and if you feel bad that is a good sign. This is also why people feel better when they did not sleep the whole night, your body has no energy to detox so you feel better. You could do a hairtest to see if you are toxic in copper or other metals. If you eat red meat and feel really wierd (like i always did) than it is certain you are copper toxic, because red meat is high in zinc and zinc pulls out the copper in your tissue and dumps in the bloodstream to be detoxed. Zinc and copper oppose eachother in your body and needs to be balanced in a certain way. If not this gives many, many problems, like i had too. Also i am taking methyl b-vitamins and digestive help for protein digestion. Which also cause a reaction but is a good sign. These need to be high quality, many of us have problems with methylasation, you could maybe test this. And if you want to do coffee enema you need to have 100% arabic coffee, organic, without additives.
You will get worse with this idiot decease befor you get better. Much, much worse.
Sorry for my english i am from Netherlands.
Quali aiuti digestivi utilizzi per la sintesi proteica??
Solgar digestive enzymes
I eat largely vegan but occasionally will eat seafood, I had to because of my pathogen born likely gut issues. I got really ill after what seemed like some infection from eating meat cooked on an unclean grill way back in around 2013 and my life has been ME/CFS hell since and I need to be on supplements, I had to go vegan to survive as I became intolerant to land meat but could eat seafood. I still have the issue to this day, beef gives me the worst problems. I also as my gut issues got worse and I developed more sensitivities developed POIS in my very early 20âs and it peaked in my mid 20âs but I had no actual sexual dysfunction ever. I wouldnât go vegan unless you need to for your health, I appear to have just been predisposed to sexual problems and when I took saw palmetto that broke the camels back.
I agree with you. I understand what you want to say to me. As for copper and zinc, I donât see any difference in my bodyâs reaction. It doesnât matter if I eat food rich in copper (poultry liver) or zinc (red meat), the reaction is the same every time. As soon as I start eating a fully clean diet (it doesnât matter if itâs a meat or meatless diet), the body behaves in the same way, cleansing itself deeply. The other thing is that I feel my detoxification systems are badly messed up. I have done long water fasts in the past (e.g. 20 days), but this problem has not cleared up. Itâs like my liver and kidneys are working 10 times less efficiently than they used to.
And arenât you afraid of methylation? Many people with PFS have had problems with this
I, unfortunately, tolerate seafood badly. They have too hard a texture for me (Iâm thinking of fish). This is another strange thing with me, that when I eat beef, I canât digest it well. However, if I grind the same beef (break down its texture), I donât have any digestive problems afterwards.
As for veganism, I had the same as you in my worst moments. If my digestion almost stopped, a vegan diet was the only solution.
Itâs sad that one barbecue caused you such problems. It sounds a bit like that barbecue was just the fuse that set off a bigger problem. Regardless, you are a big unlucky person, after all, huge numbers of people eat nasty food every day without suffering any serious consequences. Although that actually goes for all of us with PFSâŚ
No, not afraid. I have this gene muration, which also many of us have, why my b6 was very low. I supplement now the active forms combined in a b-complex. And yes it gives me huge reactions because finally my body can use these to detox the copper and other poison. In the beginning it was really bad and it felt i crashed all the time but i pushed through and now i feel a lot better. In my case crash would actually mean my body dumping toxins in the bloodstream to be processed by the liver. And once processed this cycle starts again so i âcrashâ again. Once your body dumps more and more toxins the crashes become less severe and with more time apart but i still experience them. I still think your case as well as many others here could be copper toxicity. If your adrenals are ok and you are âbraveâ enough you could try a coffee enema. If you do it the right way you will see if this is the case or not. Your adrenals need to be ok because they make ceruplasmin to safely export the copper out of your body. Read about it here, he also talks about this spiritual and other stuff which i donât care about but in general i followed this pogramm
I have been over 20 dokters but this article has done more for me than all the other dokters together.
After doing the coffee enema you will feel a lot better but also soon your body will âcrashâ again because it senses that the liver and bloodstream is clear and it can dump a new load. This all in combination with a health diet, b vitamins and a digestive enzyme supplement. This really works for me and it is slowly getting better, but it is a real fight and the only way out. If i see by now how much poison i already detoxed from my body it is not wierd that i felt absolutely terrible.
I dont know if this helps you but this is my experience and i wish you good health and the best of luck.
Scusa ma quando parli di clisteri di caffè intendi non ingeriti dalla bocca ma attraverso lâano? Esiste questa pratica?
Si. Google
`Sorry for late response here, yeah the way my coworkers eat every day just blows my mind and how hungry they are all the time is baffling. I can only handle a larger dinner normally every couple days and I have a more calorie and energy dense breakfast every morning to keep things going. I donât have many safe foods and if I take a nose dive and eat whatever Iâm usually paying for it for up a week depending o what it was and how much. With PFS my food sensitivities turned into making it worse. but now that Iâm more stable not so much in that department anymore as long as I avoid big triggers like turmeric which is super easy to avoid anyways if youâre not eating any indian food. It sucks though because itâs delicious.
Iâve been thinking about doing the coffee enema, I donât know what the final piece of the puzzle with me is. I recently had a brief full window of total normalcy when I relapsed on kratom high dose in the rebound (no longer on it, was just really fed up with life and getting hit hard with phantom cravings), after the third rebound attempt there was almost like a stress response of some kind and it no longer did the thing and I was no longer sensitive to the high full extent of the stress response anymore. It appears completing some loop with the stress response system, the opioid receptors, and dopamine receptors possibly was part of the key but it appears that itâs like some sort of toxin is blocking them partially as after this I ate like crap a day later and was pretty brain burny for a while but still thankfully recovered but just not to the full extent I was able to hit in that window. The trashy food I ate that weekend after rebound attempt 3 to see if it was consistent was what totally blunted the effect. I think you may be right, there could be some toxin induced mineral imbalance crap going on. The feeling I got after the really crappy meal after rebound fail 3 was just âdrunk without the good effectsâ.
So after that I cut my diet with the small pool of foods I can handle down and had a meal that was just some unenriched plain rice, cauliflower, some peas, and bean sprouts with only sea salt and a dash of cried sichuan pepper. After I ate this I gained some of that energy back but this wouldnât make sense as I wasnât really in any calorie deficit for how I felt at the time and there wasnât really anything in there as it was just some salted rice and veggies. I have a theory now, there is a toxin being produced by something in either the guts and/or liver that has the ability to block receptors and cause chronic immune responses that also further complicate the problem. This could also explain my windows from D3 before I was able to consistently work it in and felt better at baseline since. There is not only a heavy receptor component in the dopamine/opioid/serotonin/adrenal systems but there is also one in the immune system and this is also feeding back into the guts.
I also want to note that from the rebound attempts I have sustained recovery physically, I no longer have any physical force problems and my sensitivity to temperature for permanently increased. My theory there is that I knocked this toxin off of a lot of the receptors still and was able to restore more natural feedback loops but there was redistribution and a liver stress load from processing the kratom while the toxic load was too high from the liver/gut microbiome possible infection issue which caused a surge in the receptor toxic compound again but the release is no longer enough with the progress I made to throw me back into PFS hell again.
With all due respect but in my opinion you are overthinking this too much. Yes, you are right, it is a toxin which is inside your body and needs to get out. My experience is when you clear your body of all toxins inside, the body will cure itself. You just need to create to right environment for it. An engine knows how to run but when there is sand inside it will have problems doing so. Remove the sand and it will run normal again. This works same for our body. All hormones, receptors and other stuff you are talking about will be balanced more and more with time as you clear your body from toxins. This is my personal, ongoing experience.
I can only highly advice you to do the coffee enema. It is very important you use 100% organic coffee from arabica beans, otherwise it will not work. Also important is you need to use in total 1,3 liter. Do not use less or it will not work as well. I use 0,65 liter coffee and the rest water. Make sure it is bodytemperature ofcourse, but this combination will do it. I just use normal tap-water, this works fine.
Diet is also very important. A few days before you do this eat only veggies, meat and organic butter. Nothing else. No carbs, sugar, nothing. If you cannot eat red meat you can eat chicken but do not eat processed meat like sausages or bacon. You can eat red meat hamburger. Also butter is very important. Cook your meat in organic butter and put this over your veggies. I also cook with onions which gives it nice taste. Most of the time the veggies i eat are cauliflower and broccoli and as a side dish also some red beets.
Your adrenals need to work properly because they make the ceruplasmin to carry the copper out. I did long walks to heal my adrenals. But also when your adrenals are fatigued you will know after one time doing a coffee enema if this works for you or not. I had huge gross stuff coming out after the first time from which i knew immediately how can my body function normally when this is inside? So of course i continued to do this. I got it tested a few months later and it was full of especially copper and also other toxins. But mostly copper. Than i knew for sure i was on to something. My body could have never cleared this poison out without the enema, that is why this is so important. Also when you are full of other toxins, a coffee enema works really well.
I know many people are opposed to enemas and i also was never a fan of it. But once i did my first i could not believe what i was seeing and how i felt afterwards. Soon after the enema my body would start dumping toxins in my bloodstream again (which i call crashing) and i would feel bad again, but this is a good sign as i knew my liver was processing the toxins and i would get them out with my next enema. It is not easy and comes with a lot of detox symptoms and it also takes time but it is in my case the only way out. I was in a very, very dark place but slowely i am feeling better again and feel many of my body-functions coming back online again. I was even worse than i thought.
There is more to this all but if you want to give it a try do it as discribed above. This is actually a very fast way to find out if toxins in your body are your problem. Just do one and you will know what i am talking about.
Good stuff mate, do you do the enema daily
