If youâre taking a multivitamin you should be fine.
it was a zinc supllment only. But on top of that i am taking vitamin c, omega 3 and starting vitamin d today
True. It is a very mild 5AR inhibitor. It is also responsible for 30% of your testosterone production which will produce far more 5AR activity than what you will save from not taking it at all. So in theory, zinc will actually increase 5AR activity if you still produce it, by producing 30% more testosterone than you had. For a person to decrease 5AR activity in one who is deficient in zinc, the 5AR inhibition would have to knock out 30% of your dht. Zinc simply is not that strong at inhibiting 5AR. Think about it fellas.
Zinc is also responsible for over 300 different enzymes in the human body. Men need zinc. It is the most âmaleâ mineral of them all.
This could in fact be a good thing. It may be that you are low on zinc and therefore high in copper. If this is the case, when you initially start taking zinc, you start detoxifying copper which makes you feel worse in the short term. You must have an understanding of how the liver detoxifies to fully understand this. Basically things usually get worse before they get better.
Best idea would be to check if you are deficient in zinc or high in copper. You can get a zinc taste test from any pharmacy. A hair mineral analysis will also tell you if you are low in zinc or high in copper. You can also get a copper blood test, but copper wont always be high in blood tests, even though you may still have copper toxicity.
can you please relax on the copper tox post until you have your hair test back? people are aware of copper toxicity and can get tested if they so choose - we have already been made aware of this through a ârecoveryâ post and multiple post from you already - we do not need to read about it in every thread. thanks
The fact that it made you feel worse is interesting to me. I once had a doctor say to me âwell even though we moved it the wrong way, we still moved somthing we were aiming for - now lets find out whyâ. (meaning often nothing changes at allâŚso the fact that somthing reacted could mean you are closer to the source of the problem)
In fact if you were not low on zinc, I would expect you to not have any reaction at all. The fact that you had a bad reaction, tells me you are low on zinc.
Best take this up with a proffessional though, as i am no expert.
Canât handle the Blue up with the stimulants - caffeine is killing me.
Will try a different Tribulus.
Been feeling especially bad last few daysâŚ
On plus side found that i have some Blue up stim-free - will start high dose tomorrow.
Part of me wonders whether my problem is androgen related due to the fact that last time i tried this my erections increased to the point where it has hard not to get one, my libido increased by my overall fatigue did not. My hair loss increased, my acne increased - all the androgenic signs.
But why not the fatigue? You could say oestrogen but also why do erections improve with antibiotics. Is this androgen related? I donât know. Iâm just babbling.
Why is this in recoveries?
Because i improved substantially with antibiotics. from lets say 10% to 50%. Its not an overall recovery i admit and i still have lots of issues. I thought i would only improve from there. I was wrong. I havenât asked to move it as i only visit the recovery site and the theory side. I try to stay positive and it does help having this thread in the recovery section. I will recover. Antibiotics gave me hope.
No offence but it just reads like a tale of woe, although youâre a lot better off than most of us, certainly hormonally.
Just because you only read recoveries and theories it doesnât mean you can put your own story there if itâs not merited!
when i started this thread i thought it was. i couldnât predict the future then.
I apologise if this bothers you.
Dont appologise buddy, its not your fault youâre in this mess.
Stopped the blue up. Did high dose for 3 days but feeling worse on it. Have the feeling my estrogen is going up. Think i may be starting to develop gynaecomastia so thought i best stop.
Started on Cytomel (Liothyronine sodium) . Been on 3 days - very small dose 10 micrograms. Went up to 20 today. Noticed more spontaneous erections and they are much stronger. Nothing else as of yet.
Fingers crossed.
Update:
Ok so i tried Cytomel for a week a while ago - low dose 10 micrograms twice a day.
At first I noticed much stronger erections. I would get spontaneous erections which were strong. However, I started to exhibit signs of hyperthyroidism. Weight loss, increased sweating, increased HR so thought be best to stop. I also started to feel pretty shit. Even more so.
So i stopped. And things came back to how they were before. Now i think the erections improved due to increased androgen receptors. I believe there is a study that says that increased thyroid hormones increases androgen receptors.
Since i am trying to see an endo here in the UK who specialises in andrology. I am hoping we can talk with Dr jacobs as well for his views. I am still perplexed to as why doxycycline helps me a little. Also iâve been working out more recently and notice that i get slightly stronger erections after. However, i also get a fair degree of prostatic discomfort. I am still losing my hair and am curious to test DHT and Adiol 3 g. I am convinced the androgen receptor is at fault. My testosterone level is normal, and with doxy my testicles are within normal size. I still grow facial hair and pubic hair so androgens must be doing something. I believe where propecia acted such as prostate and brain there is an issue with the response to testosterone. A selective fault as it were. Maybe a selective androgen receptor modulator would help (currently in trials).
If the thyroid protocol was working, why not adjust the dosage lower so the side effects arenât as badâŚ???Didnât your doctor tell you that?
Also, Hyper symptoms on T3 could be from your adrenals being depleted as wellâŚ
I did lower it but still felt hyper. Maybe it was due to cytomels rapid action. But although erections improved my other symptoms did not improve.
What do you mean hyper symptoms could be from adrenals being depleted? How would that work?
