My life is ruined with only 3 doses of finasteride

I believe my back has made a lot of progress in the past 2 weeks. There’s no pain now, but there’s a very slight pressure from time to time. It no longer interferes with work.

My biggest issues:

  • Digestive issues (Growling stomach, weird stools. I have to figure out which foods are causing me stomach problems)
  • Sleeping issues. Only sleep 6-7 hours a night. Never feel tired.
    It’s better than feeling exhausted all the time, but it worries me that I literally can’t feel tired.
  • Joint popping noises (Very unsettling. No pain yet. I believe this has gone down recently.)
  • Lost muscles (I am trying to rebuild my lost muscles, if possible)

My libido is still lower than normal, but it is the least of my issues right now.

I know I say this a lot, but I really hope you guys are doing well. I will pray for you all again.

Also, I think that my joint popping noises are connected with masturbation.

I noticed that they increased in frequency and noise level the more consecutive days I masturbated.
When I abstain, the frequency and noise level goes down.

I’m not sure what to make of this. Does anyone have any ideas?
My first guess is low cortisol. I’ll need to have that checked out.

I got my hormone test today, so I expect results in the next couple of days.

Overall, I feel like my condition has stabilized. Hoping for some more improvements soon.

Still waiting for results from my hormonal test.

My back pain returned a few days ago after I introduced gluten + candies into my diet. I may have a gluten sensitivity.
I’ll go gluten & junk-free again to see if I have any improvements. I also noticed that jogging helps the pain go away for a bit.

I’ve been feeling like complete shit the past few days. Not sure why. It’s like my body feels weak, and I have low energy. I hope I rebound soon.

I think updating frequently helps both me and newcomers with similar symptoms as mine.

Also, I stopped eating gluten today, and I think my back’s doing better than yesterday. I’m almost certain my body is having a negative reaction to gluten.

Why no coffee?

I’m honestly scared of trying out new substances.

Why do you think coffee will help me?

I don’t know if it will help you or not. I drink it everyday so I just asked. Caffeine is supposed to be good for erections but then again that’s for people with normal ED.

I remember drinking caffeine in my first month of PFS, and it caused a huge spike in heart rate.
I may try it again later down the line, but I feel my body is still in a very volatile state, and I’m trying to avoid any kind of stimulant.

I think most of my erection issues are solved. I can get a boner pretty easily if I’m watching porn or thinking about sex. My libido hasn’t improved, though. I’m willing to bet my issue is more neurological than hormonal at this point.

Guys, my endo called and said my hormones seem okay, but my ALT liver enzyme went up to 114. My doctor was confused and couldn’t explain it. I’m not eating junk food, not drinking alcohol, not overeating, not taking supplements. What is causing it to go up?

Can someone please help me? I think I have liver malfunction.

Hey, guys.

Aside from my liver enzyme issue, my back is doing a lot better today. I took out gluten from my diet the past 2 days, and that is the only thing I changed. I’m now certain my body has some weird reaction to gluten.
I suspect high carb diet is also an issue, so I’ll be trying a Keto diet. I ordered keto meals from freshnlean ($220 / week). I’ll try it out to see if there are any improvements, and if there are any, I’ll learn to make my own keto meals.

Hi, guys. Another update.

I no longer think that my PFS issues are hormonal and/or receptor-based. I’m able to get spontaneous erections and hold it just like pre-fin. My scalp itch is gone, so I don’t think I had any receptor upregulation. I think it was just that my scalp is sensitive to testosterone, and jacking it up with fin caused the itch and shed.

I believe in the first 2 months when my body was in some hormonal shitstorm, there was some kind of physical damage to some of my organs like my gut and liver.
I’m not even sure if I can call it PFS now.

I truly hope for you that your symptoms will stay away. I am happy for you that you have been able to recover so soon. I trust that you can now live life to the fullest. You are truly blessed.

Well, I’m not sure if liver and gut damage are better than PFS. These could be pretty fatal.
In any case, digestive issues and joint popping are my last 2 major symptoms (Also slightly less sleep time, but I can live with sleeping 6 hours a night and never feeling tired).
Hopefully a keto diet can help me with those. Ozeph reported recovery from joint popping and better digestion after going keto for a few months. Someone else said keto brought his liver enzymes back to normal. I’m honestly not sure what to do if Keto fails.

I’m a bit stressed that the damage to my liver and gut may be permanent and life-threatening.

My next step is Keto. I’ll keep everyone updated. I hope Keto will solve my remaining problems. I would 100% eat keto for the rest of my life if I saw a complete remission on my remaining symptoms. Don’t really care about cost, since I’m making a high salary and can afford it.

I know looking at the list makes you think that I’ve made significant progress, but I still feel like I haven’t recovered that much. From the beginning, digestion has been my biggest problem, and it seems I’ve barely made much progress here. It feels like I’m on some timer, and if I don’t get my diet correct soon, I’ll end up with some terminal disease.
If Keto fails, I’m not sure what my next steps would be. I’ll end up with something like cirrhosis, and that’s far worse than PFS.



Does anyone have any insights on my results? I’m surprised my test levels are that low. I did lose a lot of muscles, so that could explain it.

I just had beans yesterday and my stomach started growling and hurting. My stomach felt bloated (probably due to gas)

Fuck. This shit is pissing me off. Doctors are so fucking useless. The only thing they know is what you can google yourself. At this point, most doctors exist as overpaid gatekeepers to keep medical utilization down and contain costs. There has to be some method or technology to verify symptoms so that we can cut down on medical personnel.

Anyway, I know that carbs (Especially beans) can produce a lot of gas, so I’m praying that Keto will help my condition. My first shipment is expected to arrive next Friday.

I know I’m sounding overdramatic right now, but I feel this is a life-or-death situation for me. What the fuck am I going to eat if Keto fails?

I just had oatmeal and I’m have massive stomach pain and sitting on the toilet as I type this.

I’m now positive I have some kind of carb problem - first with the bean and now with oatmeal.
White rice, however, seems to not really cause stomach problems.
I believe there’s some kind of gas problem. Maybe gut dysbiosis.

Fuck, this pain is unbearable. Fuck finasteride and duck the doctor who prescribed it. I’m in so much pain.
