My life is ruined with only 3 doses of finasteride

I’m glad it got better for you but mine is constant so unsure if it’s allergies. My best guess atm is too much glutamate and not enough gaba. May have caused some sort of excitotoxicity.

Thanks.

So like proper muscle wastage that was noticeable? And this went away without you doing anything to address it?

Correct.

My hair continues to improve and it’s now much much better than it was pre-fin.
I’m pretty conflicted about this.

Do you had loss muscle?

@WorriedGuy123

Did you have penile numbness and if so, did that improve/recover?

I did. I don’t think I do anymore.

Not sure. It’s definitely easier to get a boner now.

Update:

Things have been going okay for me.
I’ve seen some digestive improvements after I cut out dairy, but I felt that there was still something wrong with my gut.
2 weeks ago, I decided to cut out red meat from my diet and significantly cut back on any kind of meat. For the past 2 weeks, the only meat I’ve consumed are eggs and grilled chicken.
I have to admit that my digestive problems got much better. I’m able to ingest certain vitamins without my gut hurting. Stools are coming out nicer, too.

One thing I will say is that I’ve developed persistent joint pain recently. I’m unsure whether it’s due to low vitamin D or low testosterone. In any case, I’m trying sublingual vitamin D (220 iu from toothpaste and 2000 iu from a vitamin pill) to spare my stomach from digesting vitamins. So far, I’ve had minimal issues.

Hope to report back with better news.

Update: I’ve been taking my vitamins daily and my joint/bone pain I developed recently has gone away.

Hope to report back with more improvements.

what supplement did you take, my brother, mustcle twitch/pain and wastage are my main
concerns

None for 3 years except the occasional vitamin D or multivitamin. It always hurt my stomach and gave me weird symptoms (heart palpitations, headaches, huge stomach pains, other digestive problems, etc)

However, I am now taking 2000 iu vitamin D with K2 almost every day and I have no adverse effects.
My bone and joint pain are now gone.

I’m feeling more optimistic about my prospects. Hope you are all doing well as well.

Update:

Things have continued to improve. I’m now exercising a lot more strenuously than before and losing weight/fat. I’m now down to 154.5 lbs and finally in the upper limit of the normal BMI range.
The 2000 iu Vit D and Vitamin K2 I’ve been taking really helped me. The leg bone and joint pains are now gone, so I believe I had some pretty serious vitamin D deficiency over the past 3 years.

I do feel a lot better now (improvements in acid reflux, even less pressure in the back). I’m targeting 23 BMI, so it should be around the 140-145 LB range for me. Hope to see even more improvements!

Hey WorriedGuy,

Many thanks for documenting your journey so thoroughly. It’s really appreciated.

Has your issue of clicking/popping joints improved? This is something I deal with all the time. My joints click with the slightest movements and sometimes my hips make a loud popping sound. For what it’s worth I also have intermittent joint and bone pain all over my body. It feels like I’ve developed arthritis.

What supplements are you taking? Muscular dystrophy pains haunt me every day

Yes, it has definitely improved.
I used to get pops on my left thumb, knees, shoulders, wrists and elbow multiple times every single day.
Now I get probably 1 pop a day.

Update:

For the past couple of weeks, I’ve had days where I finally hit 8 hours of sleep in one go.

It’s not consistent, but it does happen once every week or other week. Before this, my sleep capped at 5-6 hrs per night.

My libido is still kinda of low.

Anyway, hope you’re all doing well

Pain disappear?

Yep. No pain anywhere. Sometimes I get a very slight pressure on my back, but it’s not serious.
