My life is ruined with only 3 doses of finasteride

Update:

Seems I’m recovering slowly from my last crash.
I’m able to fall asleep much more easily again and stay asleep for ~6 hours. I actually feel tired sometimes.
My acid reflux/GERD is also down 90%. I no longer get that watery throat feeling, throat pain, and acidic feeling in my throat. I had an endoscopy exam last month that revealed nothing, thankfully. I’m not sure what caused my acid reflux, but I’m glad it seems to be going away.

My back is doing much better than before. It’s been 3+ months since my last back pain episode, so I’m making good progress there. Now, I am able to work out without getting back pain the next day, whereas before, my back would be in pain a day after work out.
My joints are popping less frequently now.

Hope you are all doing well.

Update:

Acid reflux came back last month, but it was much milder than it was back in July. Thankfully, it went away after about a week or 2. I think coffee triggers my acid reflux, but to be safe, I’ll be avoiding all liquids except water.

Other than that, things have been great! Back is still doing great. Digestion is improving. I can regularly take multivitamins now with no side-effects.

For those of you who’ve been following my story, you might’ve noticed that I’ve been posting a lot less frequently lately. As I recover more, I’ll be posting a less. If I don’t post again, it means that I completely recovered.

Hope you guys enjoy the holidays.

Update:

I had the best sleep since I got PFS. Felt really tired and slept for 2 hours before being woken up by brother.
Fell asleep immediately after for 7 hours.

Acid reflux seems to be getter better. I’m no longer burping after drinking water. Don’t feel acid creeping up to my throat anymore.

Also, I’m having really weird fluctuations with my sexual orientation.
I turned gay several months ago, and then it reversed a few weeks ago. Then I turned gay again for about a day before reverting back to being straight.

How’s this been going for you currently?

Pretty good. I’d say I’m straight right now with somewhat lower libido.

Think I’m having slight sleeping problems and extremely slight acid reflux again.

Think it was the ice cream I’ve been eating lately. Going to stop eating that now.

Hello

I have a few questions.

I took finasteride for 8 months and had the same symptoms as you.

Increased body hair, increased hair loss, decreased sexual desire, decreased testosterone, etc.

I also had very small testosterone levels of 338.

It has been four months since I stopped taking finasteride.

However, hair loss still occurs and body hair is still long.

I wonder when body hair decreases.

And is the current testosterone level normal?

I’m curious about the current testosterone levels.

I wonder what keto you mentioned is.

And I wonder if Keto helped relieve symptoms.

Thank you.

Hey, friend.
I observed increased body hair post-fin, but looking at my arms now, I feel the excess hair went away. My hair also grew back and it’s even better than pre-fin.

I’m not an expert on testosterone levels, so I can’t tell you whether your levels are good or not. All I can say is that I feel better now.

Hey, guys. It’s been a while since I last posted.

I’m still feeling good. Maybe even a little better than when I last posted.

Thank you for your answer.

If you look at hormone tests in the past, your testosterone level is about 348, which is similar to mine.

Do you have any recent testosterone levels?

Have you made any efforts to improve?

Or I wonder if I just have to wait.

No recent tests.

I had coconut water earlier today and I did not get any digestive issues this time.
Previously, drinking coconut water gave me diarrhea within 2 hours. I feel fine today.

Hopefully it’s a good sign that my digestive issues are improving.

Hope you’re all doing well.

I’m seeing improvements in my overall fitness lately. Post-fin, I’ve always had problems exercising for longer than a few minutes - either I would be out of breath way too quickly or my back/muscles would hurt.

For the past month, I’ve been able to run longer distances without pausing. I can now run up to 4 laps non-stop without running out of breath or having weird pain. Glad that I’m seeing improvements

I believe I had a slight relapse.
Back hurts a little bit and very slight reflux episode today.

Hopefully it improves quickly.

Update:

I’ve been avoiding dairy, high fat foods, and processed foods. I lost weight (167 lbs to 158) and I’m feel much better. My digestive symptoms improved quite a lot.

how much muscle did you lose and how did it rebuild?

Did your tinnitus improve

A lot of muscle. Don’t have actually numbers, but my whole body was super soft at my worst.
Yes, my muscles came back for the most part. I got better to the point where I was able to work out normally.

Yep. I used to get 2-3 episodes of tinnitus daily. It then went to once per week. Then once a month. Now it’s once every few months.

I noticed that certain foods trigger tinnitus like cheese cake (Might be a dairy allergy).
