Anyway, to be proactive. There are loads of questions I’d like to answer, but I don’t currently have time. At the weekend I will answer them.
I believe PFS is essentially chronic fatigue syndrome. Chronic fatigue syndrome is essentially an umbrella term to describe some or even all of the following problems, each to a greater or lesser extent:
- Suboptimal thyroid functioning (or reverse t3 issues)
- Suboptimal adrenal functioning, or ‘adrenal fatigue’ (cortisol, DHEA, aldosterone)
- Suboptimal vitamin status (A B, esp B6 and B12, C, D, E K)
- pyroluria
- Suboptimal mineral status (notably zinc, magnesium, selenium)
- Suboptimal androgen status (T, E2, SHBG)
- Gastrointestinal parasites
- Yeast or fungal infections
- Concurrent medical problems (eg) ulcerative colitis
- Food allergies and intolerances (eg) gluten, wheat, cow’s dairy
- Lack of grounding/earthing, thus accumulation of negative electromagnetic forces
- Inadequate sleep/poor sleep patterns
- Inadequate love/pre-existing pschological and behavioural problems/unresolved childhood issues
- Household mould (affects 25% Australian houses)
- Malnutrition (Dr Emerson and Dr Gupta both believe that 99% of people in Australia are malnourished. Thinking very deeply about this, and having read masses on this in the last 6 months, I agree).
- Polluted water supplies (eg) with fluoride
- Heavy metal toxicity (notably with copper, lead and mercury)
- Lack of exercise (aerobic and anaerobic)
Our answer lies in this list. It’s exhaustative to the best of my knowledge only. I essentially fully advocate the methods of Dr Greg Emerson and Dr Sandeep Gupta in treating the cause of an illness.
Don’t be overwhelmed by this list. I think a recovery involves an ‘odds game’. It is important, over time, to swing all the 18 odds mentioned above in your favour. It will take time; months to years, and will basically involve the slow restructuring of your life to accomodate a favourable healthy lifestyle. I learn something new every week and try and incorporate it into my life. My life is great; I’m in control of it, my health and my happiness. A certain structure allows me even more time for enjoyment; surfing, tennis, yoga etc…
As for finding a doctor, yes, a Dr Emerson is ideal, but you can get different tests off different doctors to complete a thorough investigation in to your health. And yes, naturopaths will offer a lot of useful tests.
In my next post, I’ll write a list of all the investigations that need to be done for each point above.
In my post after that, I’ll write a method on how to get better for each of the 18 points above.
As Dr Emerson says, ‘the body is designed to win’. That’s certainly the situation for my body. That’s how it feels for me.
