I'm cured

Hopingforthebest,
thanks for posting the picture of the supps you are taking. Where did you buy them? Could you please post a link.

Hi cdnuts. I was on swolesource looking for prohormone advice and came across what I think Is your thread:

swolesource.com/forum/prohor … nes-2.html

Seems (if it is you) that you are taking prohormones again. Have you had a relapse of some symptoms or are you using them recreationally?

Not playing detective. Just curious…

Yes I am also very curious about this. Maybe it’s just
Someone who copied his username that he used on this website.
After all his name has became popular on these Internet forums.

But if it’s him why the hell would he risk messing things up taking prohormones after everything he’s gone through.

LOL I am playing detective and really wonder about this

That above link contains info that says maca does not increase testosterone. It also says macs is a 5 alpha reductase inhibiter similar to fin

Hello All,
I’d like to report back on my short-lived experience with DHT prohormones, PCT (Resveratrol), and a few t-boosters.
I was about 65% into recovery before deciding to jump on and try these supplements in order to perhaps speed up healing.
I began with EpiAndro RX by IML (DHT Prohormone).

I took it for about a total of 10 days or so. At first just two pills, and then up to the recommended max dose of 4 pills taken twice a day. At first I noticed an almost immediate increase in oiliness in the skin and tightness in the muscles. After a few days energy went up and strength increased in the gym. Then after about 7 days energy actually lessened and the expected lethargy set in. After a couple of more days the weakness and lethargy was unbearable. Libido was way down, spontaneous erections had all but disappeared. Testicular shrinkage ensued.

Began PCT a couple of days after cessation of DHT prohormone “mini” cycle. PCT consisted of just Res100 from Wicked Supplements containing Resveratrol and benzoxyflavone. Took for about three days, two pills a day. Testicles started to return to normal size. Libido up and lethargy down. After a few days of PCT (since this was just a mini cycle), I began taking three t-boosters: Tongkat Ali, Catuaba, and Icariin extract from Horny Goat Weed at 60%. Tongkat Ali and Icariin from World A.B.S. supplements.

Felt good libido from Icariin. Felt same way after caffeine stimulation. Felt more tired in the mornings and felt a bit strange during the day like almost jet lagged or recovering from coffee binge. The t-boosters were only taken once and each one a day apart.

Conclusion: For now I cannot really be absolutely sure if this has set me back or not in the long run, time will tell. The goal was not to
get worse, which unfortunately did happen to some degree but I am starting to recover again back up to where I was. I will allow my own body another 6 months to try to heal on its own without any intervention from supplements or prohormones, while keeping the other basic cornerstones of this program in place. Several years back I did recover 100% from this problem by doing the diet and the workouts and avoiding any intoxicants. It did not last since I did not continue with it and became vain again about my hair and used anti-androgens and minoxidil (which is not good for sexual health from what I’ve read) soon afterwards. I learned the hard way from another recoverer and cdnuts that once you have reached 100% you must keep at it for at least another year to ensure real and lasting recovery. This other PFS recoverer tried many different supplements (maca, ginseng, etc…) but in the end just decided to let his own
body do the trick. I’m sure there are others here on the forum that will take the full course with these prohormones and t-boosters. As for me, like I said before, I’m going to give my body another 6 months. After that I may try these supplements again if I feel I’m not really progressing. Heck, it’s only been about two years since I started my own program, it may take another two years for full recovery, hopefully.

Mind you, I’m not judging the merits of this part of the protocol, i.e. t-boosters and prohormones. I for one did not really follow the prohormone protocol and t-boosters protocol to completion and so I cannot even judge for myself whether it was beneficial or not. I await the experiences of others who decide to persevere and finish a full cycle or even two or three. I will reserve judgement for a later time.

If medically prescribed TRT and AI doesn’t work, why would t-boosters and prohormones?

CDnuts recovery was not about simply increasing testosterone levels. It was about correcting the damage the DHT inhibiter did to him. CDnuts believed that if he could increase 5 alpha reductase type 2 activity in his body utilizing DHT pro hormones that he would get better. He used the t boosters in between his DHT pro hormone cycles to help his endocrine system recover from the cycles. Of course he was also taking suppletments that he believed are natural post cycle therapy treatments as well.

No part of his plan involved simply raising testostetone

Has a single person here replicated CDnuts recovery, using his protocol?

Has a single person here experienced a relapse in symptoms using Androhard or a similar type product?

I see a tonne of questions here, but no corroboration. Not casting stones, just would like to see corroboration.

If he truly recovered that’s fantastic. Otherwise this androhard talk seems like a bunch of bullshit. To many other examples of hormone manipulation not doing jack swing. Healthy lifestyle,I’m sure will help. Fasting as well. I’d stay away from shrooms.

Conclusion: These data suggest that the neurosteroid androsterone contributes to the regulation of sexual function in men.

Thanks for the update and trialing CDnuts program. Our collective experience at self medicating PFS enhances our much needed understanding of the problem.

The symptoms you and others experienced with Androhard are similar to exogenous androgen shutdown experienced by steroid users (TRT and recreational users). Why CDnuts did not experience the same types of shutdown symptoms seems to be a mystery.

It’s clear he had. That’s why he used pct after cycling his androhard as part of his recovery plan.

Read that above link. It’s a thread from back in 2010 were CDnuts reported getting shut down by using andohard

CDnuts’s protocol was a combination of water fasting or juice feasting followed by a gluten free paleo diet, no drinking, carbbackloading, hard exercise with HIIT, and t-boosters.

For the past 6-7 months I have strictly followed the dietary parts and have not even had a single drink (it was very difficult to maintain a social life). I’ve continued to exercise but really ramped it up since june. Same with the carb backloading. The only things I have not done are the t-boosters. This was because I wanted to see just how far the natural diet and exercise way could get me. I’ve also taken some digestive aids on and off, natural anti-fungals on and off (leftover from my anti-C diet a year ago), multivitamin, fish oil, and probiotic. Another reason was because androhard seemed hard to get and I had not much knowledge on how to use I have never been into body building. I also wanted to see if anyone else could replicate CDnuts’s results.

I have had good results, but I am not cured. My weight is down to around 150 lbs., the same as I was in high school. I look more muscular, although I can’t seem to build much definition to my muscles. My sleep has mostly gotten better, but there are still some nights with terrible sleep. Mentally I’m clearer than before. During these months I have had two temporary recoveries where I thought this could possibly be over, but unfortunately they ended eventually. I just had bloodwork done recently. I can compare it to bloodwork done a little more than a year ago. My overall cholesterol has dropped from 221 to 191. My total testosterone has jumped from 400 something to 600 something. TSH rose from I believe 2.21 to 3.84.

Definitely some good gains, but I have not been cured. Sounds like the fire and hype may possibly being dying down from this protocol and I may not add the t-boosters after all.

Did u do a fast?
How about grind and or improvement in Ed related issues?

You you got the improvements u got with out even fasting that means u did just a fraction of this method which is pretty good.

I didn’t fast, I did a juice feast as CDnuts’s protocol said you can have a choice. It was pretty difficult to do this so I can’t imagine how tough a real fast would be.

Interesting I would be go ok with doing a juice fast, following his diet and work out routine just for improvements in sleep. Deff worth it. My work out ethic is pretty much already at this level anyway. I eat close to a paleo diet currently. So a little tweaking to the diet, workouts and adding in carb back loading and a juice fast and in there.

How long did u juice fast for? The 2 weeks?

Any other gains other than sleep quality?

I did it for about two weeks, maybe 13 days.

Check out my above post for any gains I think I made.

I have found the paleo diet to be very difficult to maintain. It is gluten free as well, so really that cuts out beer. Gluten free beer tasted pretty bad last time I had it. All grains gone. All processed meats gone. I found it quite hard to maintain.

On top of that you are supposed to cut out all dairy, salt, legumes (including peanuts and peanut butter), dried fruits, starchy vegetables like potatoes and sweet potatoes (although there is some debate about the potatoes/sweet potatoes) and the only oil you are supposed to cook with is olive oil. There are much harder aspects as well such as buying only grass fed beef and organic chicken and not even eating quinoa. You are actually not supposed to have alcohol of any kind.

Now, 6 months later, I’m having to relax some of the standards. Like I’m trying got reintegrate yogurt and milk kefir back into my diet. I also have the occasional cheat like bbq sauce that i know has some sugar in it. Also, I found salt impossible to completely cut out of the diet. After a few days with no salt I kept getting leg cramps at night.

As for the juice feasting, again, pretty tough stuff in my opinion. Hours just making juice and drinking it and not feeling satisfied. Always refrigerate your juice too. Made the mistake of drinking juice that had been sitting out a few hours and paid for it for the next day and a half. Occasionally let yourself have a spoonful of honey, and try hard to limit social engagements during this time.

Good to see people still discussing recovery attempts here, but it still seems as though fasting is the best of experiments IMO.

Has anyone tried to burn his body fat down as far as possible using Garcinia and/or a long fast (with help from another person***)? I may finally do a long fast myself because it is summertime, but I’m running out of time as the Fall term approaches.

Just wanted to update on recovery. Feeling about 70-75% recovered at this point. Just started having normal erections again this past week! I can’t believe my own eyes. I can get aroused just thinking about sex. Also have spontaneous arousals during the day, morning arousal almost every morning and even nocturnal ones. Erection strength is very good, can last much longer than before. Semen has thickened up and increased in volume greatly since starting, not there yet. Following Chi’s protocol as closely as I can, although cutting fruit out altogether as he recommends I simply won’t do. Have been recovering at a rate of about 25-30% per year. Perhaps one more year will do the trick. Went on a junk food binge only last week and was perfectly fine afterwards. The t-boosters helped at first but later felt like it was slowing recovery. Right now on nothing. Getting as much sunshine as possible. Running about 2-3 miles a weeks. Life is very very good. This is after 2 years and 3 months of hard work and persistence. For those that want it bad enough I believe many can achieve full recovery. Especially if you have age on your side. I’m 35. Will check back in about 6 months or so to report on any more progress. The dark cloud of depression and anxiety is being lifted and I’m taking pleasure in living again. Mood is greatly enhanced, attitude has changed, etc… I wish those of you who are determined to beat this the best of luck.
