The really upsetting and even somewhat depressing part about this constant monitoring and calibration of physical training effort is that before finasteride usage it was never even an issue. I would go to the gym and get stronger and feel even better, like a positive feedback loop. I wouldn’t burnout this easily. I also had some questions for you, Cdnuts, regarding specifics about the paleo diet. While on this recovery program, I would mostly eat fish such as salmon, tuna, swordfish, haddock, etc… Just recently I have started to incorporate more red meat and even bacon just to break the monotony as it can get quite boring eating from such a subset of all possibly available foods. Would you advise against such foods containing higher amounts of saturated fat? I’m wondering whether we should avoid them due to inflammation factors, etc…
Saturated fat is your friend. As long as it comes from clean sources, such as grass fed organic beef and animals raised similarly. Coconut oil is also fantastic for you body and mind. Do some googling in regards to these two things.
The grass-fed organic beef is the only kind of beef I eat nowadays. As for the coconut oil, I have read that it contains compounds that may inhibit DHT so I have avoided it to be on the safe side but I don’t really know if it has a significant effect or not. Thanks for getting back to me.
Thank you very much for the advice you have given me, I have been very busy over the last few weeks putting everything together. I have watched that fasting DVD you linked us to and it is very impressive and have had a consultation with Dr Goldhamer and am lining up a visit for the end of February (giving me enough time to stabilise after coming off my meds, I am ceasing them as of today), Dr Goldhamer seems a great guy and we share a dark sense of humour. I am provisionally going with a 2 week fast with a 1 week re-introduction to food afterwards.
I have a few questions regarding your experiences that I’m hoping you’ll be able to give me feedback regarding; you may consider some of it minutiae but I’m looking to get everything possible spot on and totally dedicate myself to it:
I understand you adopted a ‘Paleo type’ diet with carb backloading; I have an appointment with a very good nutritionist tomorrow who is going to help me with a diet and exercise plan as he’s very good with the science behind things. I’ve sourced a great supplier of paleo meats and fish, but am just wondering how religious you were with ensuring totally organic fruit and veg to accompany it? Although I can pick up stuff with a lot of searching I find this much harder to come by. Do you consider this essential?
I have an incredible and very understanding girlfriend who has given me a load of strength through all this, and am able to function sexually (to some degree, although nowhere near perfect) when I take 100mg Viagra. I’m just wondering whether you consider the use of Viagra to be fine whilst undertaking the protocol?
In relation to the fitness side of things, the nutritionist is going to help me with this also, but I am just wondering with your 3 gym sessions a week how you played things; did you focus on compounds, did you use pyramid sets, etc. Also, in relation to sprints for the HIIT, I was thinking a series of 20 sprints of 100 yards, with varied rests. How does that sound?
In terms of paleo, I’ve come across a supplement website that provides paleo protein powder and other paleo products. It all reads very well but im also aware that paleo principles don’t really approve of the use of powders etc. I would appreciate your thoughts on the matter? The link is theproteinworks.com/products … otein.html
I have fortunately managed to source two tubs of androhard V3 which from what I read would allow for 1 and a bit cycles as per your protocol (they have an expiration date of next month, but im sure they will be fine) and I can also get hold of proviron. I am intending to substitute the androhard for proviron (50mg daily) when I run out of it, does this seem fine to you? Also, at what point do you recommend I start cycling this and the test boosters, should I wait a little while after I get back from the fast to allow myself to balance out and recover for maximum benefit, or should I get going right away?
Lastly, I have been using a Hair formula prescribed by my previous physician that is applied topically and contains spironolactin, ketoconazole and progesterone. I was assured by him that this would only work locally, and this doc is a well known vehement opposer of finasteride use and believer in PFS. I am not one of these people that cares about their hair to a massive degree and would swap every follicle to be better, but I’m just wondering whether you think I should stop this as it could ‘pollute’ my natural recovery? If so, its gone.
Sorry this is quite lengthy, but I feel that with these answers and knowledge I will be fully equipped and ready to kick on beat this thing. Thank you very much for all the invaluable help and advice you have given on this thread and apologies if there is any duplication, I have read the whole thing a few times but may have missed something.
I’m about to end my juice feast/fast. Tomorrow will be about 15 days, I believe. I found a decent juicer for $199 free shipping and no tax, and decided to just give it a go. I’m terribly excited at being done with this, as the burden of making so much juice every day was just crazy. I also found by the 3rd day, the hunger pains went away, and I found that I actually couldn’t drink all of the juice I was making every day, so I started cutting back on the amount of juice I was making and drinking. I generally feel pretty good, BUT I’m not sure what I am “supposed” to be feeling at this point compared to what cdnuts was feeling at the same point.
For about a month before this I was eating a gluten free diet (which led to some immediate physical relief) and then fully adopted a strict paleo diet, which, I believe but am not sure, led to around a month long temporary recovery. I can fully acknowledge though, we never know what leads to a recovery. It could have been from what I was doing, what I did before then, or it could have just been random. But to make a long story short, the connection between my mind and the rest of my body was restored. However, about 5 days before I started the juice feast/fast, I lost it again. It’s not as bad as before, as I am still enjoying some degree of the mental, a lot of the physical, and sometimes a few of the sexual improvements, BUT the connection is not fully there.
From here I’m going to return to a gluten free and possibly somewhat-paleo diet. I might occasionally have a small portion of brown rice to carb backload, and maybe some dairy occasionally too. It’s pretty difficult to go through life without ever having a slice of cheese or a spoonful of ice cream, but if those lead to problems, I will definitely cut them.
I feel a bit stuck right now, as there is no source for androhard that is in stock. In addition, I still need to learn more about all of these hormone related supplements and how to properly use them, as I have not much experience with this at all.
So my plan is to continue with the diet, exercise, meditation, and no drinking, and as much of cdnuts’s protocol as I can get together without backsliding until some more androhard is available and I understand better how to use it.
I wish more of the several people trying this protocol would update this thread regularly, even with negative observations. Any more info helps all of us.
I have a quick question for you. I have opted out of taking any prohormones or t-boosters for my recovery. It seems like everyone here on this forum is jumping on board to take the prohormones in order to expedite their own recoveries. It was suggested in an earlier post somewhere that taking them may speed up but that it is not necessary to take them. I have been on this recovery protocol for about a year and 9 months and have made great strides, close to about 60% recovered. But I wonder if it is in fact necessary to take these prohormones to switch back “on” the enzymes that finasteride has inhibited or shut off. In your own opinion, do you think the body will eventually have these enzymes switched back on naturally given that a person is religiously following the diet and exercise regime but forgoes taking the prohormones? I would do anything to expedite recovery since I really don’t know how long this will take, 3 years, 4 years, 5 years, etc… Should the diet and exercise and lifestyle habits alone be sufficient, but perhaps just take longer for recovery?
Yeah man I remember reading your advice regarding TrueNorth earlier in the thread and will absolutely be taking your advice, I will humour them regarding the diet and make full use of the fasting. I’ve sourced a store with a good gluten free section, which is hard to come by over here so I’m cooking on gas.
I hope you’re right regarding not needing the PDE5’s when I am on androhard, that would be awesome. I actually located another bottle of Androhard last night on Amazon and bought it, paid an extortionate amount for it but you cant put a price on health and I’d much rather go with ‘tried and tested’ than cross my fingers with another product. Now that I have got hold another tub of the androhard do you still recommend I do it in one big cycle or do you recommend that I now break it into 2 now I have 504 soft gels?
I do indeed have my PCT lined up, I yesterday purchased the Wicked Supplements Stack that you recommended as identical to the Primordial stack you used, its being shipped from Australia. I purchased 2 lots of the pack as assumed at the time I’d be doing a number of cycles. If you still recommend I do the androhard cycle extended from the 6 weeks you did, would you recommend I extend the PCT longer than the 4 weeks too, or with bouncing onto the T boosting supps afterwards that should be enough? Fingers crossed this PCT doesn’t have the harsh effects on me that the pharmaceutical ones ive been trying (Clomid, anastrozole, cabergoline), the clomid sent my estrogen up to astronomical levels and couldn’t be controlled even with an AI.
Am really looking forward to getting this all started now, just got to give myself a month or so to get the three pharmaceutical HPTA-restart meds out of my system from my previous endo so could be a rough month with a lot of fluctuation.
Thanks a lot again for all the help man, I owe you a beer or 12… mine will be a water for now haha.
cdnuts… got this email from someone who i was looking into getting androhard from and he said this to me. what are your thoughts on this?
do you think if we got stanodrol it would give similar effects? i cant find androhard anywhere… i found some in the past but it was like a year over the due date.
cdnuts, also, what do you think of the other priomordial performance drugs? I’m looking at andromass and i’m wondering if it could give a similar effect to androhard?
This has really been a helpful topic, but I’m left wondering how crucial AndroHard was to your recovery? I mean, the program you’re outlining in terms of healthy eating and exercise and mental health all makes perfect sense as a vital and necessary foundation. But I keep thinking of the examples of guys on here who have really committed themselves to this kind of lifestyle with no effect, at least not in the sexual area. It would be a shame if AndroHard is a really important piece of this and no one can get it. (I thought I tracked it down at some place based in England the other day, but when I tried to order online they wanted me to send scanned copies of my ID and other personal info, which made me suspect it was some kind of scam or identity theft thing…)
I found this company called AndroFactory that looks like it makes clones of some of Primordial Performances old products such as Androhard and Sustain Alpha. They have named them Muscle-Up and Sustain-X. Muscle-Up doesn’t look like it is available just yet. Does anyone have any information on the reputability of this company?
I also believe that Androhard was was the main reason how CD NUTS recovered. Over a year ago i fasted only on water for 16 days, i also juiced organic vegetables and fruits for 2 weeks and also follow the super foods and herbs David Wolfe recommends for healing and recovery. Eating healthy and fasting on juices did make me feel better to am extent but it didn’t get rid of my problem.
I ordered Epi Andro which is very similar to Androhard and will try it with the approval of my integrative doctor.
well someone mentioned they got 2 bottles of androhard so let’s see what happens with him. however… i’m worried people will not go all out in the diet or the HIIT and the DHT stuff will be way less effective. diet is HUGE HUGE HUGE in this problem. finasteride somehow completely fucked up our body’s ability to digest carbs or something. i currently suspect my body can’t digest carbs properly, which in turn is making me hypothyroid, which in combo with the 5AR issue is making my body a living hell. i don’t know, but i know how when i have poor food choices, my life hits the complete shitter and i can barely function.
guys, make sure you do everything he says if you are going to do the DHT stuff… at least a for a few months before hand to make it worthwhile.
Even though i believe that Androhard was the main reason how cdnuts recovered, he needed to incorporate the other methods he used i.e, fasting or jiucing, PCT, lifting heavy weights, eating healthy and taking the right supplements in order for his body to become receptive to the hormonal changes and DNA repair where the cells of his body were free off oxidants.
I was interested in some of their products, seems like muscle up is the same as Androhard however, it was supposed to be released in 2012, so not sure whats happening with this.
