I am on proviron 200mg/day for 9 days

Because when we first took finesteride we didn’t share exactly the same baseline w.r.t genetics, hormones, enzymes, gut microbiome, body fat, age, diet, stress, fin dose, duration of intake, etc. Think of finesteride as a trigger but the resultant damages are not necessarily the same for all of us despite common symptoms. There’re the lucky ones that didn’t crash post finesteride and those that only had minor sexual sides but then there’re those unfortunate ones that suffered extremely debilitating symptoms (physical + mental). So why on earth do you think that one single drug (proviron or whatnot) is everyone’s panacea?

Again I think you might be missing the point that proviron taken in this manner might reverse what finasteride did, addressing the common root of our problems.

You do that @vkg1 . Let us know how it goes

Probably will. First gotta complete evaluating gluten-free effects. What’s your plan?

I have 8 days left to go on proviron. Had cold genitals for week or so now with no morning wood, tinnitus has also got worse, think my sleep has been slightly better. Will be glad when I’m off the drug, I’ll report back once I’m off and if I notice much.
For reference when I started proviron I had test in the low 700s with bottom of the normal range free test and top of the normal range shbg. Prolactin was above above normal range, gp said it was not high enough to be significant. Oestrogen/estrogen was middle of the range, don’t know e2 or dht.
I’ve noticed increased arm hair since being on proviron and a bit more hair loss, nothing major.
As I said if I get any major changes good or bad once I’m off I’ll definitely report back.

I’ve shifted my attention away from supplements/hormones and I’ve thousands $$$ worth of them. I painstakingly worked on reducing inflammation and restoring healthy gut mainly throught diet manipulation. For some reason, this is by far the best progress I’ve made in years and hope it lasts. You’d be surprised how this all plays out and linked to longstanding issues including low sex drive and anhedonia. There’s even a study on pubmed that links increased inflammation to reduced dopamine. Sorry to derailing the thread but to answer your question: No I don’t endorse gluten-free diet.

Thanks for doing this bro and for sharing it with us. It takes a lot of heart. Is your bloodwork done whilst you’re on Proviron?

Judging from your feedback, it seems androgens to estrogens ratio is going up significantly, which is expected. Your T level in 700s is great. Mine hovers in 500s & 600s. I hope once you’re done with Proviron, your body would reset hormones/receptors in a favorable balance to solve your issues. Wishing you all the best!

After gluten free I’m trying carnivore for its potent anti-inflammatory benefits. Any positive outcome will merely be an amelioration of a subset of downstream effects of PFS, though. At least the Proviron method here theoretically addresses PFS itself.

Thanks brother, blood work was from before proviron. I’m hoping so!!

Just make sure you’re getting adequate soluble & insoluble fibers.

Will do. Out of interest what’s the reason? @doomed80

Can you make a thread to explain your theory and what needs to be done?

Was referring to @vkg1 carnivore diet

@Renegade I hate to be annoying my friend but it has been two weeks :stuck_out_tongue: , you feeling any different?

It’s not annoying at all. The only differences since my last update is that I just had another crash over the past couple of days (felt like low E), and I have been experiencing digestive upset and loose stools again. Are there ARs in the digestive track? Because similar digestive issues occurred in the very beginning/onset of PFS.

What have you been doing so far and what are you planning to do next? Increase dosage? Maybe stop all together? And will you stop cold turkey or tapering off?

I took my last dose of proviron on Friday, just waiting to see what happens guys.

150mg (75x2) daily…although I tapered up over first 2 weeks. My current supply runs out tomorrow, but if my next batch arrives in time, I’ll bump it up to 200mg for a little while. If not, I guess I’m done at 5 1/2 weeks. Also, since the bag is mixed on Proviron’s effect on fertility, I’m getting a semen analysis this week to keep an eye on that, so if any of my swimmers don’t look good, obviously I’ll have to stop and get back on Clomid.

I’m definitely planning on stopping cold turkey to try to create the reverse androgen flooding effect. Unfortunately, I don’t feel like there’s been any major changes to AR sensitivity while being on Proviron (only felt some of the typical benefits a normal person would expect), so it looks like I’m going to have to rely on the withdrawal effect to rescue me (not holding my breath). I shouldn’t experience a crash like some people because I’m currently on a low dose of T+HCG, which I will continue (depending on semen analysis results).

Hmmm I’m wondering if the AR sensitivity if different for everyone. For example some people only need like 50 mg Proviron cycle, others like Pal need 200 mg and others need to push it even further… but I don’t know. Also you said you tapered up, in my mind the body is getting used to the new change and is reacting accordingly. Which is very different from ‘‘nuking’’ the body with a big load of Proviron right from the start. So the body can’t react properly, like alcohol. If you drink a lot very fast you get drunk, if you drink a lot slowly you’ll be less drunk. But that’s just a theory.
