brazillian dude, did u have pain in ur testicles and did this resolve itself after the surgery?..mine are painful quit often later in the day due to my other varicocele and im thinking about having this done b/c of the pain. thoughts???
I just went to the doctor, and he told me that he felt a varicocele. Didn’t say anything about it, just mentioned it. We’re also waiting on my first T test.
Yep, I have it to. I will visit a doctor as soon as possible. But what I am worried about is how it effect fertility. I have read so many different things about it. I am pretty sure I had variocele before I started with fin. I always thought it was normal.
had it since i was a kid,doc told me i could have it removed if i wanted to but it was more or less harmless,he said the extra heat in the testicle with the veins would kill the sperm but the other testicle would work fine so i decided not to have it taken out, that was when i was very young though, ive been back as an adult to try and get it done but with nhs cutbacks i was now told to get some australian underpants instead,if you’re wondering what they are like i did they are shorts with a lining for support or shorts with briefs sewn in,might get it done privatly and pay for it sooner or later…
It looks like every one of us has varicoceles. I wonder is it that we discovered them now or we got as a side effect from Fin/SP?
Also is there any body who got it fixed and felt better?
I haven’t been to a doctor to confirm but I’m fairly certain I have this as well. Doesn’t cause me any pain, fortunately. Might get it addressed with surgery, maybe that would help symptoms?
Yes, many normal men have variocele. I have had it as long as a can remember and never had any problems before propecia. After propecia my ejaculate is pathetic. Mostly watery and small amount. This drives me crazy. Since quitting from propecia I have had progress in many of my problemens except for my semen.
How does your semen look like? I know varicocele can cause problems with semen if you have had for a long time.
mine has improved a bit. before was few drops and like thick milk cream now looks natural and almost a Teaspoonful.but flucutates. sometimes better (mostly) and sometimes goes down.
Going over this topic today, I am surprised to read studies for varicoceles affecting Testosterone levels were pretty new at the time and very few studies as well.
Today after a scrotal doppler revealed I have minor varicocele on my left side, I was checking the web and it seems this is an estavlished fact today.
Not sure if anyone had good experiences with a microsurgery…
As far as I read an urologist needs to examine it first. Then confirms the diagnosis with scrotal ultrasound and lh/fsh hormonal results as well. (In my case asked for sperm fish and cromatin tests too.)
If the diagnosis confirms varicocele you’d better get it fixed. It will have negative affects on fertility (sperm dna damage) and overall health too as affects T.
It is a simple operation…
I find it very suspicious that there are so many cases on this forum.
Getting a referral to see a urologist is going to be the hardest part for me.
My testicles have basically shrunk down to nothing all the doctors that checked it didn’t seem to give a shit even when I pointed it out. How much is the surgery? If it’s thousands then I can’t afford it and I doubt my crap insurance will cover it.
