How many of you have varicocele?

Maybe you’re right. Your call obviously. I would have ZERO interest in having any form of sugery done at this point. If extensive medical studies proved there was some help from this, then of course I would feel different. I have grown a real dislike for doctors. I have no trust in the majority of them what so ever and no desire to be a guinea pig either.

Believe me, I understand where you’re coming from. I haven’t decided on whether or not to pursue surgery; I was simply pointing out that most of the anabolicminds guys opted for what a lot of research shows to be an inferior procedure. The evidence that microsurgery improves sperm count is pretty strong; there are a bunch of studies, mostly in the last ten years, claiming such. And there are some doctors who have performed hundreds if not thousands of microsurgical varicoelectomies in that same amount of time, so I can’t totally go along with your saying you’d feel like a “guinea pig,” as for some doctors the surgery has become pretty routine. The evidence that microsurgery can improve testosterone levels, though, is quite a bit thinner, consisting of only one study published earlier this year. Thus, if you’re only looking to increase your testosterone levels via surgery, I can understand your hesitancy.

I have had this for a very long time (not before finateride of course). Never though this would be a problem.

I have this too and probably all of us do… I think this is the reason for loose scrotum.

I just had the surgery done last month…i had some good improvements right after…speacilly when it comes to semen!

Where did you get a scar?

I think I qualify under those who have other issues. This condition just CAN’T happen due to finasteride. Although I noticed it after finasteride, I probably didn’t pay much attention to my balls before (thanks propeciahelp.com )! Varicocele occurs in 20% of men.

where the hair down there grows…

Dr G. of Kos found a beginning of (minimal) varicocele in my left nut.
I’ve also had occasional hemorrhoids, on and off, during PFS, and more often non-occult blood in stools which can mean “internal” hemorrhoids.
Both varicocele and hemorrhoids are varicose veins.
Hemmorhoids are often linked to pudendal neuropathy.

Please find a way to get a reliable test for pudendal neuropathy. Unfortunately this is hard to find, the classical EMG test has proven to be worthless but it’s still done by most neurologists.

I think I have it on both sides :/. This is strange already. Want to reverse loss of girth? Get a varicocelectomy! Serously, these veins take up a lot of space and I’m pretty sure they are the reason for the loose ballsack.

I have darker veins on my dick, not so much on my ball sack. I have a few darker veins that then have tiny red blood vessels branching off, sort of spider web like. I am 100% sure I did not have this on my dick before. Anyone else have this?

You should move this thread to another subforum. Nobody sees it here.
And we’re talking about varicocele. To know, if you have it, touch your sack.

Guys, the varicocele is a direct result of having pelvic floor dysfunction. Check out the thread on CPPS for more info…

Getting the surgery will not help. Nor will it raise testosterone levels.

Studies?

can you elaborate?
how much recovery do you feel on 0 - 10 scale?

semen became thicker and whiter…varicoceles causes an overheating of the balls…and therefore kills sperm…thats why you cant have good semen,!

What kind of surgery did you do?

but did not help with pfs?

a little…its easier to keep an erection up…however im still NUMB AS FUCK, which is very annoying

But the testicles only give 3% of the semen. How can it become thick and white after fixing them? Does varicocele affect prostate? My doctors don’t want to do the surgery on me, because they account the bad semen parameters to the prostatitis.
