Fanjeera's blood test

S-LH 7.03 U/I (1.7 - 8.6)
S-FSH 2.63 U/I (1.5 - 12.4)
S-Estradiol 99.5 pmol/l (28-156)
S-Testosterone 26.3 nmol/l (9-27.8)

So what do you think? I’m a little worried about the low FSH. Is that a very bad mark?
Luckily I got a pretty sympathetic doctor who is interested in my problem, but doesn’t really believe what’s written on this board. I gave him the link and we read some topics together and he even promised to do it afterward.

After one month of the first test:
SHBG 28 nmol/l 1,3-71
LH 11 U/l 1,7-8,6
FSH 2,49 U/l 1,5-12,4
Prolactin 150 mU/l 98-456
Estradiol 162 pmol/l 28-156
Testosterone 17,7 nmol/l 9-27,8

March 2010:
FSH 1,72 (0,7 … 11,1 U/L)
LH 3,93 (0,8 … 7,6 U/L)
Estradiol 244 (<206 pmol/L)
Testosterone 36,6 (nmol/L)
DHEAS 9,74 (2,2 … 15,2 mmol/L)
Androstenedione 16,5 (2,1 … 10,8 nmol/L)

I’ll also post my sperm test results:
December 2009:
sperm capacity – 2,83 ml (norm: > 2ml);
viscosity – 1 cm (norm: <2>40 millions/ml);[/b]
sperm whole count – 93,4 millions;
mobility – 0% fast, 16% moderate, on spot 19%, immobile 65% (norm: >25% fast)
morphology – 0% normal (norm >10%), 99% head defect, 58% middle part, 61% tail defect, 1% development errors.

March 2010:
Capacity 4,57 ml (>2)
Sperm count 35 M/ml (>40)
Whole count 159,9 M
Mobility 5% fast (>25%), 21% moderate (>50% the last 2 together), on spot 19%, immobile 55%
Morphology 4% normal (>10%), 91% head defect, 51% middle part defect, 22% tail defect, 2% development errors (<160% the last 4 together)

Got my other test results too:
FT3 6,47 pmol/l (2,6-6,3)
TSH 0,519 mU/I (0,4-4)

Looks like I might have subclinical hyperthyroidism as the thyroid itself isn’t overworking as TSH is low. What do you think?

If you have hyperthyroidism, it could potentially explain your fasciculations (muscle twitches).

those values look good to me. I don’t think your penis really shrinked because of fin.

Really? What else do you know of that would shrink a mans penis? I’m curious…

I started Mg to fight the twitches and am now adding Ca. Hopefully this will help.

How exactly?

Basically hyperthyroidism relates to an overactive thyroid condition, which may cause overexcitability of motor neurones. Perhaps the fasciculations are a result of that. Do some research, speak to your doc.

Went for some new tests to do SHBG and Prolaction also. The doctor added the regular hormones as well and we now wish he hadn’t done so, because the results are:
SHBG 28 nmol/l 1,3-71
LH 11 U/l 1,7-8,6
FSH 2,49 U/l 1,5-12,4
Prolactin 150 mU/l 98-456
Estradiol 162 pmol/l 28-156
Testosterone 17,7 nmol/l 9-27,8

As you can see the ones I wanted to test (SHBG and Prolactin) are totally fine, but the other ones have crashed with the time of one month. Testosterone has drooped and that has made my LH go a lot higher, which doesn’t help much, because in the latest test I had a lot more Testosterone from a lot less LH. FSH is as low as before – it makes me a little bit worried, but as long as I haven’t done a sperm quality test, which I am going to do, there’s not much to speculate about the topic. And the most horrific part of the story: estradiol is out of ranges high. WHY :’(? The doctor doesn’t know what to do and what could cause so much dynamics in my hormones with so little time, but at least he’s is worried and won’t refer me to a psychologist. How can they change so much with only one month? HELP :’(!

Fanjeera,

I’m just curious why no test results at all for Free T? Is your dr another dr that doesn’t believe Free T has should be given any merit and it’s an “inaccurate essay”. I wouldn’t be surprised to hear you had been told that yourself.

I personally don’t buy into all of the controversy surrounding Free T. I used the same the calculator the drs use that includes SHBG, Total T and Albion and my adjusted number came in just a small amount lower than my Free T number. You should have your Free T tested as well.

Also, your Estrogen is very high. You should probably look at your diet as well to help lower that a little.

Free T isn’t available :frowning:. So I suggested we do SHBG to calculate it.
How does my diet affect my estradiol levels?

What do you mean by free T isn’t available?

Are you saying that you suggested to your dr that you should test SHBG?
Most dr’s don’t consider a test for Free Testosterone to be accurate in and of itself. They use a calculated Free Testosterone. You need to test for:
Total T, SHBG & Albumin (ALB). These are entered into a calculator that provides a calculated Free T level.

Regarding the high Estrogen foods. Soy products, soy beans, soy milk, tofu are all believed to raise E. Google high estrogen foods and look to avoid the ones that come in high on the lists you find.

I guess mine knows nothing about free T then. Is Albumin such an important factor? I understood that only SHBG was needed :frowning:.
Thanks!

free test is calculated with testosteroene, albumin ans SHGB

And my estrogen has rised even more:
FSH 1,72 (0,7 … 11,1 U/L)
LH 3,93 (0,8 … 7,6 U/L)
Estradiol 244 (<206 pmol/L)
Testosterone 36,6 (nmol/L)
DHEAS 9,74 (2,2 … 15,2 mmol/L)
Androstenedione 16,5 (2,1 … 10,8 nmol/L)

Thankfully my sperm has got a little better, but it’s still far from normal :frowning:. Any advice?
I got a drug named Prelox from my doctor. What do you think of that? It contains L-arginine and Pychogenole. Seems safe…

interesting, your LH seems all over the place. Out of range high twice, then normal. I wonder why?

That’s strange yes. But what matters is that it’s totally normal atm. And what proves that FSH may not have so much of an effect on our infertility and sperm is that it has gone lower for me and my sperm has become more healthy meanwhile. Though, I don’t think it should be that low.
And isn’t my T too high?

I actually don’t understand how to read your t range as it isnt listed as a between (number) and (number). Though im no expert.

It didn’t have the reference range behind it, but looking at the previous tests we can see that the top is only 27,8.

I started taking a vitamin complex meant for men and have been having nocturnal erections and morning wood for almost a week. That’s nice. I still don’t have the actual appetite for sex and so many spontaneous erections, but I’ll put it down to the stress I’ve been living through all this time (more than half of a year already).
Can anyone tell me why do I have such high estradiol and androstenedione? My doctor thought that it’s because of high testosterone, but then why do I have such high T?
Thanks!
